The materials used on this car's body is made from Dupont, the best material on the market for base coat clear coat stage for restoring classic cars. Since the body was in bare metal stage, An epoxy primer was used to seal the body, there were 4 coats applied. Then we used a vera-primer which is a highly buildable primer to make the car flat and straight with crisp body lines from front to rear. All the body lines do match. In between coats of vera prime the car was hand blocked sanded, cleaned then 2 more stages of layers were sprayed with the sanding between each stage. The car was carefully checked by using a ghost primer to sheck if all areas were sanded, then we cleaned the primer, started with the paint stage. Paint Stage: Once the car was painted using base coat clear coat, the car was put into a dry heat building to cure the paint to wet sand the clear coat for a professional appearance. After 2 months, The stages of wet sand are as follows: Wet sand paper stages, 1000, 1200, 1500 and 2000 grit. now between each stage the car was washed thoroughly so the different stage of sand wasn't carried to the next level. After the the car was complete by the wet sand stage, then we used a 3M Buffing compound to buff the clear to a high shine. The car was washed again to clean the surface. The car didn't have the shine I was looking for so I went one more step to make this R/T appearance shine above and beyond all others classic on the web and locally. I went to the next level where most body shops won't, Using a 3M polishing liquid to polish the clear coat. The car now has a High gloss Mirror Finish as it should. You can see the trees and other images in the finish. The car finish is AMAZING! Suspension: The front end has all been rebuilt with PST Suspension parts. Ball joints upper and lower, New Bushings pressed in for the lower control arms, new inner and outer tie rods, Pit man Arm, Steering box arm, new upper control arm bushings were pressed in. Car was a front Large Drum car, which I still have the R/T drums which will be included. Now the car is equipped with front disc brake car with all new parts such as Power Booster, master Cylinder, New calipers, New Brake Pads, New Brake hoses in the front and the rear. New Proportion Valve with new steel brake lines. Rear brake shoes as well were replaced with new equipment parts from Napa Auto Parts. All brakes work as they should. Drums are nice shape. New Wheel cylinders on both sides in the rear. Emergency brake works great. New Parts: Gas Tank, sending unit and tank straps, alternator, 3 core champion radiator for better cooling, new fan blade. Undercarriage & Frame: The undercarriage, floor boards, frame and inside the trunk have been sand blasted. Por-15 Mermaric Acid was used to clean, seal and paint the surface with a non porous paint. This means the weather elements can't penetrate into the steel causing rust. I used 3 coats of flat black, then 3 coats of semi gloss to give the undercarriage that professional appearance. The undercarriage is mint! This is a rust free California car. Body Color Paint. The color of this car is 1969 Hemi Orange with a slight metallic effect which is in the paint. The paint material is all Dupont. I use Meguiars Car Wash, No waxing needed. Washed by hand, then towel dried. This paint has a mirror finish as you can see in the pictures. This Car has been fully professionally restored. As a solid Rust free car you will not find a better car as we all know most of these Chargers were destroyed from the Dukes of Hazzard, using appox. 323 Cars of 1968-70 Dodge Chargers. The undercarriage is beautiful, mint condition. Never seen Snow, Stored in a locked and guarded facility. Absolutely Beautiful Beyond most other Dodge Chargers that I have seen for sale. Muscle cars like this one don't come along often here. Rebuilding and restoring a General Lee isn't just a paint job, it's going through the entire car to make the car dependable to drive. This appearance of this General Lee is above and beyond all close up cars seen on the Dukes of Hazzard. Built Right here in Western New York years ago. This car is near mint. Turn key and drive like the Duke Boys. No Bo didn't drive this one as it's way too nice! Just to clarify this car has never been used on the Dukes of Hazzard. This is not a Real General Lee produced by Warner Brothers Production. This is a General Lee Replica that I designed to the specs of a Car used on the Series. This is a real R/T according to the Vin code. Clear registration in hand. If you have any questions, please contact me before bidding. I will provide pictures to the new owner for proof of the restoration as I took pictures to prove this car has been restored. Yes the Flag on the top of the roof is still on the car. Society assumes negatively thoughts on what my General Lee stands for here in Western New York. This car has been in 2 local papers for appearing for Charity such as Breast Cancer, Mercy Flight (Saving lives by helicopters) Children's Hospital. Donations for M.S. & Cancer and also Meals of Wheels for disable and senior citizens of all races. Movie Star cars raise money throughout the United States to help people no matter who they are or their race. Without dreams, hope and faith of these Movie Car replicas, people would lose the childhood memories of the good shows they watched with their families in the past. Seeing a Movie Car Legend coming down the streets anywhere in the world, Brings excitement to everyone that really knows what this car stands for as taken care of Business, Helping others in the time of need, why would we as builders or owners want to stop helping with these charities? I know I will never stop, regardless of what society assumes without the facts. People in History fought for the Confederate flag to end Slavery, lets not forget the people that gave their lives for such a great cause. Furthermore, This flag stands for Charity to all. 1967 Dodge Coronet 440 "Barn Fresh" find! (Many more photos and a couple of videos can be seen in the body of the listing itself, just scroll down to see them.) This 1967 Dodge Coronet 440 is a 2 door hardtop, powered by a 383 cubic inch big block in front of a 727 torqueflite and an 8.75" rear. It was originally equipped with a 318. Its a factory A/C car, and also came with the AM radio. The radio still works, but the A/C equipment is gone. It has about 66,000 original miles. Obviously, the car needs some work, although it really is in excellent shape for a barn find project car! The body is straight, and there are only a few spots where some rust issues need to be addressed, though it just seems like just minor surface rust for the most part. The only major rust damage that I noticed was a silver dollar sized hole in the passenger side floorboard. (You can see it in one of the pictures below.) When I purchased it from the previous owner, he threw a battery in it, it started right up and he drove it to my house, so it does currently run and drive, however he had to pinch off a couple of rusted brake lines to get it to stop. I have moved it a couple of times during the time I have owned it - all that was necessary was to hook up the battery and it always fired right up. As I was looking over the car prior to listing it, I noticed that the brake pedal now goes all the way to the floor, so another brake line must have rusted out in the past 10 years. That's not too surprising, and not really a big deal since you'd want to replace all of the brake lines anyway. The car had been sitting for 8-9 years without being run, so before listing the car, I was curious to know if it would still start as reliably as it always had. I disconnected the fuel line from the carb and sucked gas up through the fuel line, then reconnected it to the carb. The engine turned over a few times, then fired right up. I had to give it just a touch of gas to keep it running for about 5-10 seconds, then I let off on the gas and it settled into a nice idle. Now that the fuel system is primed, I don't need to pump the gas or choke it, all that is necessary is to turn the key - the engine catches immediately and purrs like a kitten. It really is impressive to see that in a car that is nearly 50 years old and which has been sitting for 10 years! You can view a video of the car starting further down in this listing. It would make a great base for a restoration or could be a daily driver with a minimum amount of work. Basically it would just need some brake lines along with the usual wear items like tires, windshield wiper blades, etc. (I put brand new wiper blades on the car when I purchased it because it didn't have any, and I wanted to avoid accidentally scratching the windshield, however that was 10 years ago now so the car might be due for another pair.) :) I don't know very much about the history of the car except that it has been in this area for many years. It was purchased by a gentleman who is something of a local Mopar guru - I saw it sitting in his driveway while he was showing it to a prospective buyer who wanted to flip the car and I ended up buying it with the intent of restoring it into a nice driver. That was 10 years ago - I just got too busy with some other projects that had a higher priority and never got around to this one. I recently came to the realization that I probably never would get around to it, so I've decided to let the car go to someone who can truly enjoy it. The person I bought the car from said it had been stored indoors, he stored it indoors, and the entire time I have had it, I have stored it indoors, either in a garage or a pole barn. It has obviously been repainted at some point, and although it was not painted in an original Mopar color, the paint job has held up very well. (Its actually a pretty cool vintage paint job with some pinstriping accents, so if you were looking to drive it for a while before doing a restoration, its got some vintage flair.) With these old odometers that only read up to 100,000 miles, it isn't always possible to tell if (or how many times) it has rolled over, but the man I bought it from believed that the indicated miles were original, based on his inspection and knowledge of the car's history. There is a maintenance record riveted to the glove box door which shows regular dealer maintenance for the first few years up to about 17,000 miles, but its blank after that. I'm guessing the car was traded in or sold at that point. The vehicle is for sale locally and in other venues, so I reserve the right to end this listing early should the car sell outside of eBay. If you are the winning purchaser, a $500 deposit via Paypal is required within 48 hours of the auction end, with the remainder due via a certified check, money order or cash. Obviously, cash in person would be preferable but in the case of a check or money order, the car may be picked up if my bank deems it to be legit, and I will mail out the title once the funds have actually cleared. The car is currently located in Forestville, NY (14062). The "buy it now" price includes delivery within 300 miles of that zip code, or of course you are welcome to come pick it up, or I am willing to work with whatever shipping service you might want to hire to get the car to you. In all cases, the car must be paid for with all funds cleared before it can leave my pole barn. As you may have noticed, I am listing this car through my business eBay account. I manufacture and sell various automotive and motorcycle parts out of my machine shop which is attached to the building the car is stored in. The reason I am telling you this is to let you know that I am a known entity, having been in business and on eBay for a long time and I have a reputation to protect, so you can rest assured that I am not trying to pull anything over on anyone. I don't have any time for this project and with a baby on the way, I will very soon have even less time on my hands! I just want to get this car sold without any games or hassles. I want to see this car go to someone who can appreciate and enjoy it, which I unfortunately never had the chance to do. Of course, you are also covered by eBay's vehicle purchase protection program. If you have any questions that this listing hasn't answered, please feel free to message me and I will do my best to answer. Thanks for your interest! As one Mopar enthusiast to another, it is my hope that you can look past the dust and see the diamond that this car really is to give it the life that it deserves - out and about cruising the highways! There are a bunch of pictures below - the first six pictures are from when I first purchased the car in 2005. The rest were taken recently, showing the car where it is currently sitting - covered in dust in my pole barn. I didn't bother to wash the car or clean it up because I wanted you to see it in its current, as-is condition. I tried to get some photos of the undercarriage, but it is not easy without having the car up on a lift. I was able to get some photos of the torsion bar crossmember to show that it is in good condition. The car appears to have had an undercoating of some type applied to it, which you can see in the undercarriage photos. That may be what has helped to save the sheet metal. At the very end of the listing are a couple of videos showing just how quickly and easily the car starts and runs. Oh, and just to answer a couple of questions in advance: No, the 'cuda parked next to this car is not for sale, and I am not interested in trades. Thanks! Thanks for looking!
