Here is a 1993 Dodge Dakota Sport X-Cab 2-Door Pickup. V-6 3.9 liter, Manual Transmission, 222,306 miles, still runs well (see possible problems below). I am the original owner from 1993 (bought it brand new), so please email me with any questions you may have on its history. I am not a mechanic so I can not give you too much help in that department. Runs well, still could drive long distances or on freeway without any problem if needed. If you are a mechanic and or need original parts or looking for something to fix up for a local commute or hauling, this could be right for you. Sold as is, here are the main issues that it has: - CLUTCH?: It sometimes (not all the time, usually when starting cold for first time) has problems at start up getting into gear or shaking, have not had this checked out, decided to sell before I put money into it. I am thinking that it has something to do with clutch (haven't put in a new clutch for a long time.) Could be something else minor or major, am not sure. BUT, Never has problems starting, and all I have to do if it shakes is turn it off and start it up again then it engages and no problems after that. Once in gear it has no problems shifting or going in reverse or any issues at all once driving. Still has a lot of power, no engine problems in its life span. This has been the first major issue this truck has had in over 220,000 miles! I just can't tell you for sure if this is going to be a major fix or a minor one. Real mystery to me, but I have been driving it like this for the past 5 months, with no increasing issues. Maybe you have more knowledge on the subject. - DRIVER'S SIDE DOOR: will need to be replaced, the mechanisms inside have completely bent out of shape or have come off. Door will not shut. I have taped the door shut so that it wont open while driving. I enter in and exit through the passenger side. Have been doing it this way for about 6 months. Again not sure how much it would cost to find another door and get it replaced, but someone with that skill should be able to do that. - BODY DAMAGE: There is no major body damage, have never been in an accident or even a fender bender with this truck, but it does have many dents, scrapes, body wear around the vehicle. (Please see scan) This truck has worked hard and has hauled a lot of things throughout its life span, so it has the appropriate amount of wear for a truck this old and its use. - PAINT: Typical of the early 1990 Dodge Dakota manufacturer paint jobs, the pain has come off and has rusted on roof and some on hood, sun fading etc... as well. - FRONT LIGHT: parking light beneath the head lamp broken on drivers side (see scan). - PASSENGER SIDE MIRROR: is missing, has fallen off - INTERIOR UPHOLSTRY: There are some rips and tears in cloth, and ceiling upholstery is hanging down from roof. * POSITIVES: Like I mentioned before this truck has been in my possession since it came off the original lot in 1993, NO major damage, NO major service, I have been changing the oil and giving it regular maintenance every 3,000 - 5,000 miles for its life. The V6 Engine has a lot of power (still), and tires and (original) rims and are still in great shape. Local pick-up or meet only. Please pay deposit of $100 via Paypal at purchase.
