Only 208 U code Hardtops were made, and fewer than 10 are known to exist today. This was also a factory powder blue car , its probably safe to say this is the only remaining 74 U code in that color on the planet. This car represents the End of an Era and with its low production numbers has some significance. Previous owner has had the car since the 1980's and has kept it up as a second driver. The car needs a restoration but is fully useable as is . It runs and drives excellent with good road manners. Power steering and brakes ( front discs). The car starts well, shifts and stops like it should, has an incredible exhaust note and will lay rubber through 2 gears. It has had AC added but it is currently non functional. The car also has an alarm that is somewhat finicky. This Charger has solid floors and trunk, the color change was done in the 80's, Passenger rocker panel has rust as well as the trunk lid lip. The rocker will need to be replaced. Door handles have been shaved as well. This car is a pretty straight forward restoration and is well worth the time and effort. The factory Powder Blue with black stripes and Performance hood treatment is definitely an awesome combo.
