2007 Dodge Charger 5.7L Hemi Police Package. 42000 documented miles. Pearl black metallic paint on black cloth interior. Full police package with all heavy duty power options including Hemi engine and select shift automatic transmission. I bought it as a dealership trade in. As is. It was my intention to put it into perfect condition and give it to my son as his first car due to its size and safety. After driving it for about 1500 miles I've decided that this is not going to happen. These cars have way to much power for a new driver. This Charger was bought and traded by a small local city PD. It came with the original window sticker and a full folder of service and oil change records. I was told it was a detective unit and saw little use and was traded in due to its age. The condition and records indicate the account of the cars history is most likely accurate. I did find that the door have been painted up but the paint is flawless. The remainder of the paint looks factory and the body has only one antenna hole on the trunk. It has never been butchered as many former police cars have been. The body and paint are very very nice. A couple minor dings on RR door. Light scratch on rear bumper. It looks to have never been hit and there is no record of it in the paperwork. I upgraded the interior with a factory console, carpets and rear cloth seat and trunk lining. The rear door handles are now operational. The interior now looks like a factory passenger Charger except for the column shifter. All of the police equipment was taken out properly. Mechanically the car is in great shape. The battery is new. The front end had that Chrysler thump on certain bumps. Knowing that this is a common problem, I replaced all the front control and strut arms with brand new factory parts. Noise gone!!! The only thing that needs to be done is a right exhaust gasket. Again, a known Chrysler issue. Upon cold startup you can hear and exhaust tick from the right side which lessens as the exhaust heats up. Pain in the neck job that I have not done yet. Great job for the new owner if I don't get to it. I have driven this car almost 1500 miles and it is awesome. It runs shifts and drives as a 40K car should. Great power on the highway.
