I am selling this truck for my brother in law who is a truck driver. I have 100% rating on ebay, so I will do everything in my knowledge to describe this vehicle properly. He bought it several years ago from another ebay seller. When we all looked at the car fax I remember thinking the truck has had some accident/incidents, so why even go look at it. The seller told us the motor and tranny had been re-built recently, which sounded great. We did go look at it, and it turned out to be a beautiful truck. It ran and drove well. Big, loud, man truck! The seller told us the fuel tank leaked if over half full. Well, my in law bought it and on the way home the tire came off because the lug nuts on that wheel were not on properly. So my in law took out an insurance claim to fix the front end damage. Shortly after the rear differential went out, so he had it re-built. Then in the next several years other than a new battery and normal maintenance, nothing mechanically has went wrong with the truck. It runs strong, shifts strong, etc. The fuel tank does leak if over about half full, so it is never driven past that level. I personally have driven this truck numerous times. It drives strong, turns heads, is loud, has very tinted windows, etc. I have driven the truck in 18 inches of snow and it cut right through the stuff. The 4 wheel drive has always worked flawlessly. It cannot be proved to my knowledge that the truck actually does have a re-built motor and tranny when my in law bought it, but it sure drives like it does. The radio is real nice and works very well. The bed is in pretty good condition. It has a coating on it from awhile back to help protect it. The heat and air conditioning last I knew both work well. Since he bought it, there have not been that many miles put on it. It has had its services at Nelson's auto in Fair Play,Mo. Nelson's has been around for years, and he works on many vehicles, including the city school buses, etc. He knows the truck well. The flaws to the best of my knowledge are as follows: The biggest one is that recently the front suspension has started to have a shake in it around 45mph. Last I remember the shake seems to dissipate around 55 mph. It does need some repair, but I do not know what exactly. Nelson's does not work on those type of custom suspensions, but he does know it needs some repair. The mechanic's opinion was that it can still be driven safely. The truck was sitting at my inlaws for awhile. I just yesterday drove it home several miles on the highway and it was fine. The paint is fading, and peeling. The KC lights have never been hooked up by my in law, so I do not know if they work? The back window on the drivers side had the latch break, so it is duck taped on. That good ole duck tape (lol) works really well. Of course as said earlier the fuel tank does leak past a certain fuel level. We have never had a problem with it at half full or under. There is some light rust at the bottom of the doors, and underneath seems to be fairly normal surface rust for this year. The tailgate cables are broken, but the tailgate does latch tightly when closed. The interior does have some wear and stains, and some of the headliner needs updating. It will have your normal little dings and scratches for this age of vehicle. I think that is the main stuff I can think of. This has been a amazingly reliable running truck, it just needs some TLC, paint, suspension work, and some other minor things to really look good. If you have any more questions, or want more pictures let me know. If you are the winning bidder I want you to be happy with your purchase, so again, I have described this vehicle to the best of my knowledge.
