This is a 1973 Datsun 240Z . It is an automatic. With AC. I got in a package deal with a 1970 240Z. . It is rough. It is tumble. It has dents .It has sat for years. In a junkyard. Where the Mormon junk yard forklift driver from Hell attacked it with his fork. More on that later . It had layers of dust in ,out ,top and bottom. I had it mucked out but it needs everything.While sitting in a boneyard near Zion in Southern Utah it took some hits. One thru the drivers door almost to the center console.Must of been a slow day in the yard and he needed some target practice. This car is not rustfree. But close. Some bubbling and bondo in the doglegs. Small area on passenger pan I tried to show in a picture. And damage on the rear of both floor stiffening rails . Usually because of longtime sitting where water gets down into the rails and is trapped at the tail end.This car sat a longtime in that dreaded junkyard so that makes sense here. The rockers, lower fenders, inner front arches are nice clean and rustfree. Little area on drivers lower fender .The lower rear corners of both doors have rust bubbling. The drivers door needs to be replaced anyway due do Edward Scissorhands and his forklift. As the left fender should be also due to forklift damage. No front end hits, which is very common with Zs.Other than where said forkift driver lifted the front end and tore off the lower valance and bent the bumper up a bit in the center. Nice frame horns with no damage.The rear inner lower hatch is nice and clean along the bottom where they all rust. The left rear tire blew out at speed it looks like, And beat the heck out of the lower quarter panel behind the wheel and also damaged the bumper return corner. .This car is pretty much stock other than the Enkei rims. Stock engine. And the early 240Z automatic trannys are actually pretty nice. Shift fast and hard and surprisingly pretty snappy. If you ever drive one you actually might like it. We got it kind of running to check out the engine. To make sure it can be a runner and not stuck. . Off a jug of gas in the engine bay. Put new plugs points, condensor.It does not drive. I have not tried. Though it will not take much to get it oing again. Putting it here on Ebay as is and will go thu it more if it does not sell. Have way too many cars in front of this one. Early Zs are getting harder to get in any shape for reasonable money these days. Save some serious money here and bring this car back to life. After all it has been thru it deserves it Car has a straight clean Utah title . Personal inspection is more than welcome at my shop here in Prescott.Or send someone else to check it out . I get over to the Long Beach shippers every week or so . So overseas buyers are more than welcome . Nissan went so far as to set up an official competition department in the US to supply parts for the team's that were racing roadsters. Nissan/Prince combined speed shops were also instituted in Japan. The roadster, along with 410sss and 411sss Bluebirds, were the backbone of Nissan's rally efforts in Monte Carlo. Roadsters and their drivers have actually racked up quite an impressive number of racing victories, including several SCCA titles. By the time production ceased in 1970, 1600 and 2000 Fairlady Roadsters had been built. a few were titled as 1971 versions. This is one. Up for sale is a classic Bulletside Datsun pickup in the very hard to find King Cab and from what I understand it is the deluxe model. The engine was run out of oil 15 years ago so it stopped running and has not been driven since. The engine is a 4 cylinder and the trans is automatic. My guess is that it is an Arizona rig since there is no rust in the rocker panels, fenders, etc... There is a little rust under the cowl and some under where the battery sits. Minor issue in my opinion. There is also rust in the floorboard but it has not rusted through. There is a couple small dents but nothing huge. The only thing missing is the air conditioning compressor and the interior AC components. Has all the smog equipment. Truck is still stock height. No cracks or chips in glass. I bought this truck with plans of putting a V8 in it there is no way thats gonna happen without cutting the firewall, which is more work than I want to do. I am currently looking for a V6 to drop in it and if I find one I like I am keeping the truck and finishing the project. Right now I have removed the driveshafts, radiator, fan, etc..., and the engine is just sitting there ready to be pulled. I will put a couple bolts back in to secure it. Those pulled parts are in the bed. I can put them in the extended cab for shipment. I do not have the keys but that is cheap and easy. Clear AZ title. Keep in mind this is a project so if you buy it Im not interested in hearing that this is wrong and that is wrong etc.... Not trying to be rude but ask as many questions as you want before you buy. $300 non refundable deposit due right away and you can send a check for the rest. Truck will not be released until payment clears. You must handle the shipping but I will help the shipper any way I can. The truck does roll.
