This is a 2002 Jeep Liberty Limited edition that I purchased from an auction to part out. I have been parting out Jeep Liberty's for a couple of years now so I have plenty of Liberty parts. The title on this Liberty is a salvage title that has me as the buyer, so I am selling this as a parts truck. I am not sure of what would need to be done to transfer ownership to someone that would like to register the truck. I know it can be done but I think it may require getting DMV to issue a new title in my name so I can put the buyer as the new owner. As mentioned above the truck starts, runs, and drives as it should with the exception of the small radiator leak and the fact that it pulls to one side when driven. I usually dismantle these trucks but I figured I would try to sell this one as a complete unit. This truck is loaded with excellent parts including the engine, transmission, transfer case, 5 alloy Limited wheels with tires, all of the body panels minus the grill, bumper and a light or two, and plenty more. Parted out this truck would bring between $3,000 and $4,000. I am looking for a quick easy sale if someone is interested. Aside from the carpet needing to be shampooed the interior is in very nice clean condition and complete with the retractable cargo cover that is usually destroyed or missing. The 3.7 liter engine runs perfectly. If you are in the market for a 3.7 liter engine for your 2002 or 2003 Liberty, you must get a 2002 or 2003 3.7 Liberty engine. If you simply drop in a 2004 or newer 3.7 engine without some modifications it will not run. This is why I can sell a 2002 or a 2003 engine for $1,000 and the newer style for only $700. The 2002 is notorious for having valve seat issues if the cooling system is not properly cared for. With a few easy and in my opinion inexpensive steps you can keep your 2002 from having these problems.
