THE PAINT SHINES NICE AND THERE IS NO RUST. THE INTERIOR IS ALSO IN GOOD SHAPE WITH NO RIPS OR TEARS. THERE ARE NO FUNNY ODORS AND THE CAR WAS NEVER SMOKED IN. You are looking at one of the best JDM replicas in the United States. World Rally Blue was and still is the color of choice for all Subaru fans. This Forester was transformed into what is essentially an '08 STI. This Forester XT started life out as an automatic transmission car. It's a large family car, easily capable of carrying 5 passengers and their luggage but it was missing something? That something was the Legendary Subaru STI performance.East Coast Swapper is the name of the company that did this conversion and there swaps offer factory reliability. A '08 Subaru STI doner car was purchased (6,000 miles on it.) for the build. ECS dropped the entire driveline out of the doner STI and onto a rolling dolly. They split the transmission from the engine to upgrade the clutch, and then they went through the engine adding ARP head-studs and replacing all the head gaskets and seals outward. Lastly they added a Perrin fuel rail kit, re-assemble the driveline, added custom coilovers and up and into the Forester it went. The Dual Active Valve Control System and SI drive was turned off. ECS wanted to use it, however, the issue with that is the '08 STI motor uses the CAN BUS engine management system and the Forester does not (OBDII). So what ECS did was to turn the engine into an '07 STI "electrically". Then the harness was modified to work with a Manual Transmission Forester ECU.
