Exterior and interior: This is a fantastic vehicle! It spent all but the last year of its life in Florida. It was then purchased by a dealer at a Florida auction and I bought it from him in the spring of this year. It has never been exposed to road salt. It is an exceptionally clean example. I looked at several of these before deciding on this one. The interior is as close to perfect as a car with 10,000 miles. There is a very slight amount of wear on the outer drivers bolster, and center arm rest. Factory mats. A rear cargo cover is included and I have pics shown with and without it. It's got all the options. Rear seat entertainment, NAV, bluetooth, DVD changer, Sirius, heated and cooled seats, power liftgate, keyless start, etc, etc... The exterior is beautiful as well. Barely a scratch or ding anywhere. There is a very small scrape on the passenger rear fender flare it is only on the plastic flare not the body. There is also a door ding on the passenger front door molding. The windshield is original and crack free. No paint work has been done anywhere. The headlights have a bit of oxidation on the top from the Florida sun but they could be buffed out. All of this is shown in the pics. The wheels had some curb rash when I bought the car and I had them all professionally refinished in a darker grey. The color looks great, sets it apart from the rest and hides the brake dust much better than the factory color. Mechanical: I understand that people will look at the mileage on this vehicle and be nervous. Mileage is certainly not the only thing to look at when purchasing a used car especially a high end used car. The care a car received is arguably more important. I bought the vehicle with about 95K miles on it. It had been dealer maintained and most of the miles had been put on by a previous owner who was in real estate in Florida. I understood that it was due for a few maintenance items. I took it to my local dealer as soon as I had it shipped to me and had them do a full inspection. They found It had just had brand new Mercedes brake pads and rotors installed all around. These are very expensive "dimpled" rotors and it is important to use genuine parts. The dealer found that the 2 front pneumatic springs with struts needed to be replaced. They also found that the motor mounts showed some wear and needed to be replaceed as well. I had the motor mounts and transmission mount replaced with genuine MB parts. I had the struts replaced with Arnott rebuilt units which are known to be better than the originals. I also replaced the front sway bar end links with genuine MB parts. I had a 4 wheel alignment done and a transmission service as well. None of this was cheap and none will need to be done for another 100,000 miles. Motor may look a little dusty in the pics. I purposely did not clean it. I feel like its hiding something when a motor has just been detailed for a photo shoot. It had brand new Toyo STII tires on it when I got it. I never liked them. Kind of loud. Not great in the wet. And not a nice enough tire for a vehicle like this. I read a ton of reviews on Forums, etc. and everyone recommended the Continental DWS for the ML63. It is a fantastic performance all season tire. I've had them on other cars too. I bought a set and had them installed under 2000 miles ago. If I would have known I would be selling it, I wouldn't have. Your gain! Gas Mileage: Not as bad as you may think. If I cruise at 75 I get 19mpg. No SUV is that much better on the highway. In the city its all about how you drive. Take it easy it gets 14-15. Drive aggressively at every stoplight...get 11. I put about 12000 trouble free miles on the car in the last 6 months (changed the oil twice). I'm in medical sales, I drive a lot. My plan was that this was going to be my fun car, not my daily driver, then plans changed and I started driving it every day. I recently bought a Z4 M coupe. The BMW has become my fun car. If I could afford the payment on both I would keep them both, but I can't. It is an awesome daily driver. One side effect: Driving it makes every other car I get into disappointing! I spared no expense buying this truck and maintaining it. I will unfortunately lose a lot of money in selling it but it has to be done. Feel free to call me with any questions. Steve 313-269-6090
