The 2012 Honda CR-V comes loaded with tech features, and reviewers praised its spacious interior and generous cargo space. The 2012 Honda CR-V is ranked:#3 in Used Compact SUVs $20K and up#4 in 2012 Affordable Compact SUVs The redesigned 2012 Honda CR-V is powered by a four-cylinder engine, which some reviewers said produces adequate power. However, others claimed that the CR-V is too sluggish for highway passing. As a result, a few test drivers wished the CR-V was available with a more powerful engine option. With up to 23/31 mpg city/highway, the 2012 Honda CR-V earns some of the best fuel economy estimates in the class. Test drivers reported that the CR-V offers car-like handling and good maneuverability. Its ride quality is firm and smooth, they agreed. While many reviewers were pleased with the CR-V's new power electric steering and said it's light and communicative, others wanted it to be more precise. Reviewers said that Honda CR-Vs of this model year offer a more refined cabin than those of previous years. They noted that the CR-V is still outfitted with hard plastics, but were pleased with the interior design. With seats for five, reviewers said the 2012 Honda CR-V's cabin is generally comfortable and quiet. Test drivers noted that the CR-V's rear seat no longer slides fore and aft as it did in previous years, but they claimed to have no trouble finding a comfortable back-seat position and said legroom is plentiful. They also reported that a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel makes it easy to find a comfortable driving position. The Honda CR-V has 70.9 cubic feet of cargo space behind the second row, which is one of the highest capacities in the class. Standard features on the CR-V include a rearview camera, Bluetooth, Pandora Internet radio compatibility, a USB port and an auxiliary input. Optional features when it was new include navigation, satellite radio and a rear-seat DVD entertainment system. Test drivers liked the CR-V's large, accessible climate controls, but said the navigation system has outdated graphics, small virtual buttons and isn't intuitive. The 2012 Honda CR-V has better safety and reliability scores than many competing 2012 compact SUVs.AwardsWinner: 2012 Best Affordable Compact SUV for Families
