Please take a look at all of the full resolution photos at the bottom of the description. Up for sale is my beautiful one owner 2013 Scion FR-S with 20K miles. This car has been babied and is excellent condition. It has the upcharge paint color, Whiteout, with loads of pearl in the paint and black cloth interior. Six Speed Automatic transmission and the tires have 70% tread remaining. It also has the factory added spoiler and the trunk mat. I also have a premium car cover with lock that will go with car that was used anytime the car was parked outside for more than 12 hours. Full Factory Bumper-to-Bumper Warranty until May of next year and the transferable Platinum 100K mile warranty from Scion.All scheduled maintenance has been performed by the dealer with receipts for each. Drop in K&N filter replaced the factory element about 10k miles ago. If you don't know much about the car, Scion is built by Toyota and this car was a joint venture between Toyota and Subaru. The Subaru version of this car is the BRZ. The engine is a 4 cylinder, 2.0L Boxer motor with 200 HP. This eBay ad is a bit blog-like in its ramblings and the photos are in no particular order but read through it and you’ll understand why this Eldorado is like no other Cadillac currently for sale. This eBay ad is also probably not the most sophisticated, but I didn’t really feel like going all-out given the fact that no matter how many pictures are taken of this Eldorado they will never do it justice because it’s just that nice of a car. I did not buy this Eldorado at any significant discount and you might think that the car was in poor condition when I bought it based on the list of work below – not true, it was in fairly good condition given its age. This is just the work you’ll need to do if you want your Eldorado to be as reliable and nice as a new car. The Northstar engine is not inherently bad, just the multitude of seals and head gaskets are problematic. Any Cadillac Northstar you buy, if not properly sorted out, will make your garage floor like an Exxon Valdez, likely overheat, or have numerous other problems that will make you wish you never said “I-DO” at the altar with a Cadillac. You should know that all of my cars are maintained in a manner that ensures THEY LEAK NO FLUIDS and I can drive them anywhere, in any weather, at any time, without having to worry about being parked on the side of the road. Trust me; don’t buy one of these cars if you don’t know what you’re doing. I knew what work would be needed and the money I would spend before I bought this Cadillac Eldorado and I love driving it with no regrets about the money and time spent making it nearly perfect. It was a fun project. Driving this car is like strapping your couch to a locomotive and I consistently get 27+ miles per gallon on the highway …. yeah, crazy I know. The reason I am selling the car is twofold. One, I am almost 6’-6” tall and after replacing the seat cushion(s) during the interior restoration my head hits the ceiling. This car is only 4’-6” tall! Two, my wife was recently one of the unlucky recipients of a defective hip implant and has difficulty getting in and out of the car. My loss (significant since I have spent more than double the reserve price bringing this Eldorado to where it is today) will be someone else’s gain. This is a “no-disappointments-real-deal” and you WILL NOT find any Eldorado that is as reliable and “sorted out” as this car is for any price no matter where you look. The history on this Eldorado is clean. Non-smoking, no accidents, no spills, no odors - except the new leather smell - and all original paint except for past repair of a small dent near the bottom of the rocker panel behind the driver’s door (body shop bids for making the repair “more perfect” ranged from $300 to $500) but unless you know what to look for it’s hard to notice. I have included a close-up picture so you can judge for yourself. One wheel has a couple of minor scratches but the rest are practically perfect. The car is 13 years old so there are a few minor scuffs – so don’t expect absolute perfection – but this car is as close to perfect as you’ll get anywhere. Although I don’t transact a lot on eBay, you will note my feedback is 100 percent with all transactions having been done with honesty and in a responsible manner. No error codes on this Eldorado’s computer and all emission equipment, electrical equipment, accessories, etc. functioning perfectly. If you have owned one of these cars and wished you could turn the clock back to buy one new, this is as close as you’ll ever get. If you are new to buying a Cadillac Eldorado or any Cadillac with a Northstar … buyer beware and don’t even bid on another car if you don’t know what you’re doing or have deep pockets and a lot of patience. It really doesn't matter if you buy a 2002 or 2011 Northstar engine as little to no improvements in design were ever made despite rumors to the contrary. Feel free to post questions and I’ll answer them when I get a chance. You can drive this car home with no worries. Will (or could) something go wrong with this car in the future? Sure, it’s a 13-year-old GM vehicle, but I can sell the car with a very clean conscience to whoever (or is it whomever?) buys it because I know every inch of this Eldorado and it’s a great, fun car. Happy bidding. I will not waste your time and you should not waste mine; therefore, goofy questions and trash bids will be ignored. A $500 deposit is due within 24 hours of the auction close and I am happy to take the vehicle to the Cadillac dealer in Muskogee, OK (who knows and has serviced the car) for any inspection you want to have performed at your expense. All maintenance has been completed and fluids have recently been replaced so there’s nothing to do on this Eldorado except to buy it, drive it, and enjoy it! Will coordinate with shipper you select or meet you at airport with vehicle. Buyer’s funds via cashier’s check must be received by my credit union within 7 business days after auction close and either clear, or be verified as good check, before buyer receives car and title – I will provide purchaser with contact information of my local credit union bank manager to communicate with and provide funds. I simply cannot afford to receive a bad check, hassle with tire-kickers or deal with bidders who didn’t plan effectively to purchase the car or forgot to “ask their wife for approval” before bidding. Full fluid flush and mechanical service Including new TCC solenoid & transmission seals (e.g. Pan, Output Shaft Seals, etc). Leaking of output shaft and other seals is common on these cars. Most people drive their Cadillac in overdrive around town at lower speeds causing the TCC solenoid to constantly switch on and off, which burns out the TCC solenoid. The transmission had no problems except for the typical leaks and this work was done proactively to avoid failure(s) and resolve any leaks. Properly maintained, the transmission in this car is practically bullet proof except for a few sensors and solenoids. OTHER NEW PARTS (These are common failure items you WILL replace at some point if you buy another car.) -Evaporator-Heater Barrier/ Cover @ Firewall (Difficult to replace with the engine in the vehicle and I can practically guarantee the one in any Cadillac like this you buy will be crumbling apart exposing the area where your fan, evap., and other HVAC internals are located. Forget hitting the “recirculation” button on the dash because odors, dirt, debris and whatever else is outside your car will come through the firewall once enough chunks of this cover fall off.)Fuel Pump Assembly Including Fuel Sender Crank Position Sensors (Not the made-in-Mexico parts that will fail on you.)Oil Pressure SwitchSerpentine & Water Pump BeltsHeater and Radiator HosesDelphi Starter (It’s under the intake manifold …. have fun replacing yours!)Water Pump & ThermostatSpark PlugsIgnition/door key sets and keyless remotes.Auto-dimming and defrosting side mirrors - they can fail and get milky looking with age.New lifetime warranty Strutmaster struts/springs and rear air shocks with full check of rear leveling system. You should be aware that original GM springs are not so great on the front end of these cars so whatever you buy will likely bottom out when you hit medium to large size bumps. Just look at the pictures of other cars and note how low the front end(s) are relative to the rear. Yes, it is normal for the front to be a bit lower, but trust me, you’ll bottom out fairly often with the original old springs as most of the Eldorado's weight is over the front wheels - this is a GM not a we'll-balanced Porsche. New Kelly Charger tires.New left axle and wheel bearing hub – verified remaining axle and all other wheel bearings are in great shape - common failure and the bearings don't really like to have the weight of the car on them in one spot over long periods of time - these cars operate best when driven regularly.New rear brake rotors and pads. Full brake system flush and inspection including anti-lock system. Debris and moisture from poorly maintaining the brakes can really damage the ABS system and calipers. EXHAUST -All new 3” high-performance exhaust tubing with high-quality, high-flow catalytic convertor and performance mufflers. Y-pipe at engine was modified to eliminate flow restrictions due to poor OEM design. The sound is very close to stock until you step on it and boy does this Eldorado sound great. An additional “more vocal” set of Flowmaster mufflers is included with the car if you want to swap what I currently have installed for something even throatier. You can't just put any cat on these cars as the emissions system is a bit picky. If you want a GM cat you'll pay $1600 because they are now selling the cat with part of the exhaust versus separately per the GM dealer. HVAC SYSTEM –In addition to replacement of the evaporator-heater barrier/cover, the entire A/C system was evacuated, tested, and refilled with Freon. The mode selector module in the dash was disassembled, cleaned, lubricated, and reinstalled to eliminate future problems that are very common with these systems. All parts of the auto heat and cool systems work perfectly. INTERIOR –Interior was removed except for headliner and carpet. All panels, parts, fittings, trim, fasteners, and components were disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled with care. ALL front/rear seating leather was replaced including new seat heaters in front buckets. New seat cushion was installed in the driver’s seat and new foam installed elsewhere when any measurable deterioration of foam was identified. ALL means everything you touch was replaced including the shift handle and center console leather. The driver’s door panel was replaced with a new factory panel ($800 excluding labor). The door panels have plastic tabs that can be easily broken if a novice removes a panel incorrectly and then the panel flops around like a catfish on the bank every time you open and shut the door. You have to ask yourself if a 13-year-old interior, original leather, seat foam, and other bits are going to look or feel like new no matter how many miles are on the car you buy? Think again about that as your hind quarters sag uncomfortably into the spring steel parts of your seat. I like my cars to be like-new and therefore spared no expense in reviving the interior to nearly as-new condition. Beware of sellers who dye the leather in the cars they sell - you won't see it in the pictures, but you'll hate it when you get home and it wears off in a few weeks/months. I know I need more interior pictures to show how nice the new interior looks. If you've ever seen how GM leather holds up in their luxury cars and Corvettes, you'll know the ad pictures of other cars aren't really telling the whole story. DOORS – The doors were adjusted, completely disassembled and new moisture/sound barriers; motors, glass, seals (some), exterior felt/chrome (driver’s side) and other misc. parts were replaced. The glass did get a couple of minor scratches when installed but nothing like the original glass. People don’t understand that they need to keep the window felt clean of dirt or the felt becomes like sandpaper and scratches the glass immensely. Most all Eldorado cars will have severely scratched glass. I included a photo of one of the new custom moisture/sound barriers that was installed. I also included a picture of the factory barrier, which is a black, gooey mess that deteriorates. Most any Eldorado you buy will need at least the front triangle-shaped window seals replaced if not many other door seals …. Enjoy the rain on your lap and super loud wind noise if the seals on the car you buy are bad!I will try and take more pictures of the interior that can be emailed but I'm only allowed 24 on the ad and had to cut some of the more blurry interior pictures. All pictures were taken with an iPhone and the car has been in my underground garage a work for a couple of weeks so it was dusty ..... in other words, the car looks even better in person!
