I bought this beauty -- a rare 1964-1/2 Mustang Convertible -- in 2012 from a family friend in Parkland, Florida, who owned and cherished the car for more than 20 years. As much as I love this Mustang, impending retirement means it's time to say goodbye to some of my toys. The car is in excellent condition. It's red with a white top, white leather interior, and black floor. It features the very limited Ford Rally-Pac, and has a cool wooden steering wheel, sharp chrome luggage rack, and wire spoke wheel covers. I have spent $2,500 changing all the gaskets and seals and replacing the fan. It has been stored in a heated garage. $25,000 or best offer

Model Overview The rear-wheel-drive, 2-seater SL550 roadster has a 6.3 Liter, 32 Valve, V8 engine that makes 518 hp and achieves a surprising 19 mpg while cruising on the highway, thanks to its driver-adaptive electronic 7-speed transmission. The Optimum Gear program selects the best gear for maximum acceleration or engine braking, while the Comfort setting starts the car in second gear -- or a reverse second gear -- and keeps the rpms low in slippery conditions. The Active Body Control suspension system uses a coil spring, hydraulic cylinder and shock absorber at each wheel. The system senses the requirements of each wheel and adjusts for vibration, pitch, squat and roll.
