An excellent vehicle here, 2010 Chrysler Town and Country, 76000 miles. I have had literally no trouble with this van and am selling because my husband and I are downsizing to one vehicle. It has been well maintained and is clean in and out. Newer brakes (back brakes 11/14, front 6/15) newer tires (11/14) with only 7000 miles traveled since 11/14. There is a Bruno Joey lift in the rear for transporting a wheelchair, which is in good working order. It can be removed and the seats pulled up and be used - currently they are in the stow and go position for the lift to be there. It is a great option for someone who needs to transport someone with a wheelchair who does not need to ride in their chair but transfers to a car seat for the ride. Back in the 1940s it was thought that wood would be the medium for which cars would be made. These “Woodies” were an upscale production based automobile that were aimed at the more affluent buyers. The craftsmanship and woodwork would differentiate the standard vehicles from these “high class” vehicles of the day. Chrysler Corporation General Manager David Wallace envisioned a wood-bodied car with the same basic lines as contemporary Chrysler steel-bodied sedans yet with greater refinement, quality and elegance. This example “THE BOATHOUSE” has been owned by the same family for the last 30 year; she is named after the family's house on Nantucket. The car has been well preserved in fine “driver” quality condition. It is clear that the car was restored some years ago, and the car remains in excellent running and driving condition. The exterior shows well and the car is a constant distraction, compelling people to wave, point, look and appreciate her enormous road presence. The painted surfaces show well with good luster and shine; there is some poor repair work on the left rear due to a careless shipper. All wood on the exterior is in fine shape with no evidence of cracking or peeling; clearly much of the wood is original. The grain shows very well with deep varnish and polyurethane coating that is thick with a great sheen and depth. The interior wood also shows well and has clearly been restored, the door panels are especially nice. The interior leather shows a lovely patina, and is supple and soft. All gauges and instruments work as they should. The 250 cubic inch straight six WAS REBUILT 6 YEARS AGO AND HAS LESS THEN 1000 MILES SINCE, it pulls well, has good power and torque and starts easily. She still retains her original 6-volt electrical system. She retains her original “fluid drive transmission”; a hybrid manual transmission with a fluid coupling. The “on the column” shifts very well and makes driving the car an enjoyable experience. The brakes work well and all systems on the car work as they should. There are not many examples left of this classic “woody” on the market today, let alone at this price point. Enjoy it today as it needs nothing but an enthusiastic new owner. Back in the 1940s it was thought that wood would be the medium for which cars would be made. These “Woodies” were an upscale production based automobile that were aimed at the more affluent buyers. The craftsmanship and woodwork would differentiate the standard vehicles from these “high class” vehicles of the day. Chrysler Corporation General Manager David Wallace envisioned a wood-bodied car with the same basic lines as contemporary Chrysler steel-bodied sedans yet with greater refinement, quality and elegance. This example “THE BOATHOUSE” has been owned by the same family for the last 30 year; she is named after the family's house on Nantucket. The car has been well preserved in fine “driver” quality condition. It is clear that the car was restored some years ago, and the car remains in excellent running and driving condition. The exterior shows well and the car is a constant distraction, compelling people to wave, point, look and appreciate her enormous road presence. The painted surfaces show well with good luster and shine; there is some poor repair work on the left rear due to a careless shipper. All wood on the exterior is in fine shape with no evidence of cracking or peeling; clearly much of the wood is original. The grain shows very well with deep varnish and polyurethane coating that is thick with a great sheen and depth. The interior wood also shows well and has clearly been restored, the door panels are especially nice. The interior leather shows a lovely patina, and is supple and soft. All gauges and instruments work as they should. The 250 cubic inch straight six WAS REBUILT 6 YEARS AGO AND HAS LESS THEN 1000 MILES SINCE, it pulls well, has good power and torque and starts easily. She still retains her original 6-volt electrical system. She retains her original “fluid drive transmission”; a hybrid manual transmission with a fluid coupling. The “on the column” shifts very well and makes driving the car an enjoyable experience. The brakes work well and all systems on the car work as they should. There are not many examples left of this classic “woody” on the market today, let alone at this price point. Enjoy it today as it needs nothing but an enthusiastic new owner.
