This is the convertible that started it all. The first convertible automobile, the model for all the other convertibles to come. This is the 1998 JXi all premium features version. Legendary 6 cylinder engine I bought this in 2013 from my Dad's mechanic: a master mechanic and owner along with his wife of Crilly's Car Cures & Diagnostics in Brookhaven, PA. He had selected this car in 2001 when it was just 3 years old for his daughter. His daughter drove it for 8 years, and Mike and Kim took expert care of the vehicle during this time. Then in 2012, I purchased it and have continued to have all the service done at Crilly's; I have a folder of all the receipts for upkeep and maintainance done since I bought it. So it is in phenomenal condition for a car born in '98. It runs like a dream. I have no need for it right now, and it really should be enjoyed by someone. Just had all necessary work done, new battery, tune-up, and PA inspection. This is the loaded/premium version, the JXi. Vehicle was backyard repaired to make legal and driven for a couple years. Retired from service January 2014. FRAME OR SUSPENSION ARE BENT, VEHICLE DOES NOT TRACK PROPERLY WHEN DRIVEN. Vehicle is not currently inspected and is not road legal. Must be towed. Selling entire car...I am not parting it out at this time. Parting out the vehicle would yield about $1500-$2000. I just don't have the time and do not desire a torn up vehicle sitting in my yard. Rims: 4x75=$300 Interior $300 Glass $200 Mitsu 3 litre $400 Tranny $300 Radiator $100 Body ??? And many other parts are good such as the starter, alternator, a/c system etc. Great donor car if you are looking for good body panels up front and driver rear, clean interior-no tears in the leather, LXI package upgraded rims are worth some cash. Good glass everywhere. All electronics and motors including sunroof work. The alternator and starter were recently installed (within 10k) before we parked the vehicle. Mitsubishi 3 liter motor with 136,000 miles runs like a top, paired with a smooth shifting automatic transmission. Replacement OEM radiator has about 2000 miles on it. Practically brand new! Although it's been off road for 18 months, vehicle has been started and moved regularly to avoid seizing of any parts and to maintain engine performance. Was planning on getting the frame straightened out and turning it into my "racer" but have no time. Tires...what tires? The stereo amp was donated to my other Chrysler, however 4 disc cd changer head unit works fine. I've also taken a headlight harness and have swapped out a couple of suspension parts. There are a couple of other bits and pieces like trim and screws that I've grabbed too. Title will be signed over. Vehicle is being offered for sale locally as well.
