This is literally a garage queen, having been bought new and then put in the garage only to be taken out on nice days for the past 30 years. This car hasn't been driven in snow or salt, and it is exceptionally clean. This might be the nicest condition 1984 New Yorker for sale in the country. This was a true luxury car, built on Chrysler's humble and ubiquitous K-platform stretched to become the "E-class". This car had a longer wheelbase, better ride, more powerful engines and far better equipment than any other K-car built at the time. This car is all original and hasn't been modified, redone or "restored". This car is in original condition, right down to factory chalk marks on the shock towers.This car has the original paint, and this is an absolutely straight and super clean body. This is the cleanest example you will ever find- this car is hard to believe until you see it in person. The body panels are excellent and the panel gaps are properly aligned. The chrome and trim are in nice condition. The tires are nearly new. The interior is super clean and totally original. The tufted-button upholstery, the carpets, the dash, etc- they are all ultra-clean and nice. There is some very minor carpet/floor mat wear/stains, but very minimal.This car runs and drives perfectly with no known issues. The suspension is quiet, the motor is smooth and powerful, the steering and brakes are good, etc. The air conditioning has been converted to R134a and it is working. The power windows and power locks are working, the voice alerts are working and the electronic dashboard works perfectly. There are no leaks. This car has zero known mechanical problems or issues. I would trust this car to drive anywhere.Cons: There is some minor paint oxidation on the hood, decklid and top edge of the rear bumper. A buffer and some compound would probably take care of it. There are some minor nicks/scratches/imperfections here and there, including a few scratches on the decklid. The interior grab handle on the driver's door has come off its brackets but I still have it. Every feature and every electronic component on the car is working with the exception of the cruise control. You can fly into Cleveland (CLE) and drive this car home. Previous owner put a dual exhaust on the car so you can hear the strong HEMI purr.Cruise-O-Matic Drive transmission rebuilt with approximately 3000 miles on it.Power steering, power brakes, power windows.Newer coil springs, shocks, ball joints, tie rod ends. Front tires are newer. Clean engine bay. Newer brake shoes, wheel cylinders, brake cylinders rebuilt.Original interior including the seats, dash, door panels, headliner...etc. Power windows work strong.Trunk pan, floor pan, body, frame, etc.. are rock solid. The one and only bad spot is one front frame mount near the passenger floor that can easily be cut out and replaced. All lights, gas gauge, horn, wipers, etc.. work. Back up lights work as well. Original radio and clock do not work.The original chrome and glass are in good condition. There are also extra chrome pieces for lower front valance as pictured for below hood on front. Passenger window has a crack. This car drives and handles excellent. Mechanically extremely sound!Like they say they are only original once! With the exception of the repaint we believe this car to be completely original from what we can see. Please note the car does have a rebuilt title - reason being - while it was in storage several years ago someone bumped the front drivers side fender while moving another car. Due to the rarity of the car the insurance company was unable to find the fender and bought the car as a loss. The owner then bought the car back from the insurance company and found a replacement fender and trim piece.
