RELISTED DUE TO NON PAYING BUYER. SEE TERMS. 1959 Imperial Custom 2dr hardtop project. This car needs full restoration. First off I installed the front bumper on it (photo 2), I have the bumper side pieces and the turn signal pods, both solid and not rusted out. Also including replacement DR quarter window and other extra parts. Rough but nearly 100% complete car, it is a Custom and very highly optioned. White with turquoise interior. It of course has the standard power steering and power brakes, car is also equipped with: heater, rear window defroster, radio with foot control, power windows, power locks, power 6 way Swivel seat, Flyte Sweep Deck Lid, hood ornament, Auto Pilot, Solex tinted glass, passenger side exterior mirrorstone shields This car was parked since the early 1970s, the mileage is 81, 120 which I’m sure is original. I have a clear title for it. It as been in a barn since then and was just pulled out a few months ago. It is a mix of original paint and old repaint. It will need all 4 floor pans replaced and some brackets underneath them. The inner rockers are solid both sides except for one spot on the passenger side front corner where the inner rocker and sill will need work (common problem here in Chicago due to mud and salt staying in that area). Passenger side needs the area above the wheel well replaced, patches needed on driver’s side wheel opening lip, needs lower quarters both sides. Have photos of all of this. Hood, doors, trunk lid all solid with no holes or thin spots. Needs front fenders. The car is very straight only found 2 small dings by one tail light ring. Bumpers solid and straight, there is a spot on the frame "lip" behind the rear bumper (the approx 2" wide area on the frame bottom) that has some thin spots. Car sat on 4 flats on an uneven dirt barn floor and this area collected water and debris. Just flat metal, 2-3in width, not a difficult repair. Obviously the car needs a good amount of rust repair I know of a junkyard in CA that has a solid 59 4dr (more than 1) that would provide all the sheet metal you need, plus some extra goodies, for around $1000 and will gladly assist the buyer if they want to purchase it to use for the sheet metal. I also have some additional sheet metal and parts available ALSO If you want a easy restoration I found a 1959 2dr that is a stripped out shell but is rock solid, with almost no rust, that can be had for under $1000 All the rare 59 only trim is intact. There is a tiny hairline in the grille bar which will be an easy fix for a chrome guy. It has very little pitting for one of these and the headlight buckets are great with no cracks and light pitting, I know a great chromer who is very fairly priced who I send my chrome to, just did '57 conv chrome for me. The pot metal quarter panel "washboards" need repair on the bottoms and are quite pitted. I can fix pot metal if you cannot find someone to do this repair. Hood lip trim has no dents. Front fender trim is not damaged. All stainless intact, there is 1 or 2 screw holes in 1 piece Engine compartment is complete, except for generator bracket. I put some stuff in the motor and let it soak, I will try to see if it turns over this weekend. The sticker on the door jamb says the brake shoes were relined 6/12/1964 at 46k miles. The odometer says 81k miles and since the car was parked in the early 70s, and hasn't run since then, I'm sure that is original. All the glass is in beautiful like new condition, as mentioned will include quarter glass to replace broken out one. The interior has factory or dealer installed seat covers, a cool pattern, they are torn up in the front though. Appear to have been on the car since new. The steering wheel is from a different car, was like this when I got it. The dash pad is perfect not a crack or a warp. It even has both plastic eagle emblems by the windshield post trim, those are always missing and very difficult to find. Will not find a nicer original dash pad. The ash tray, glove box doors ,etc, are also like new. The door panels are not bad and could be repaired. Headliner has a section missing from it. Sunvisors are like new. The interior chrome trim is very nice with little to no pitting, including all the window switches. I have 3 keys for the car but not sure they are the correct ones or maybe the locks are seized. Yes it needs a lot of work and will be an involved project but they only made 1700 of these and they rarely come up for sale. I have it priced it fair considering just the what the seats and other parts are worth. I do not want to sell this to someone who will part it out, I bought it to save it. I have other Mopars in similar and worse condition, no time for another one, I have 2 1959 Imperials already. I don’t think you’ll find one with an interior like this, just having the nice dash pad alone will save a lot of $$ Still has the original jack in the trunk. Everything shown in the photo of the trunk is included plus extra stuff from a 4dr. You can call with questions or if you want a buy it now/make an offer, cell 847 707 8312 NON REFUNDABLE $500 deposit in 2 days, Balance in 10 days. See payment terms. LOOK AT ALL PHOTOS. Car is needs to be moved from where it is unless you want to pay the monthly storage bill, which is reasonable, but I would prefer it picked up sooner than later, it's in the way. It rolls and steers, driveshaft is disconnected, tires and rims are good. Click on this link for a slideshow with 70+ more photos: http://www.ivyhillhomes.com/1959_imperial.html

This 1965 Imperial Crown Coupe is in amazing original unrestored condition for the exception of 1 repaint in its original factory color of Patrician Gold. In addition to being an Iconic Collector Car, this 1965 Imperial Crown Coupe was originally owned and driven by Marine Brigadier General John D. Harshberger, who's name is on plaque on the dash, who was a World War II Hero and Pioneer in night time air missions with Fighter Attack Squadron 531. Please google his name. Very interesting story and history for those of us who recognize the greatest generation this country has ever seen. Total production for this Crown Coupe in 1965 was a mere 3,974 units. We have had several Imperial Crown's thru our doors over the years, but this is the first Crown Coupe we have acquired due to the scarcity and rarely will you find one anywhere near the condition of this example. This car has been owned since new by only three obviously very careful and mature owners and seemingly always been garaged as it is both a rust and accident free true survivor car! The car boasts its original 'Patrician Gold Metallic' (Code 771) color paint with original Tan color trim and as stated, and has had just three owners since. Sold on January 28th 1965 at 'Barker Motors Inc.,' of Eugene, Oregon to marine brigadier General John D. Harshberger. The car is being sold with the original owners 'Imperial Operating Instructions' manual with required maintenance services recorded through 1969. It was possibly the Aircraft styled door handles, switches and aircraft inspired seating along with the 100-year old Claro Walnut wood inlays that lured Brigadier General Harshberger to the Imperial Coupe, but some say it was just another way for him to feel human again after climbing out of a very sparse and uncomfortable fighter plane after a night of attacks on Americas enemy. Below is a brief list of vehicle features and highlights. *RELISTED DO TO NON PAYING BIDDER. REASONABLE OFFERS CONSIDERED* Up for sale is my 1957 Imperial Crown Coupe. One of 4199 built. This car is a project needing full restoration. It's Regimental Red (code R) with a Charcol Grey Roof (K). Dark and light grey leather interior (code #83) Very striking and unusual color combination. This exact color combo is shown in all the Imperial brochures on the base model coupe. (see last photo showing brochure). Equipped with power steering, power brakes, power windows, power seat, radio w/ foot control, heater, Flyte Sweep trunk lid. This car spent all it's life in Southern California. Black plate car (plates have been on the car since 1963), last registered and on the road in 1980. 99% complete, needs air cleaner, hubcaps, the 4 gold fender crowns, and 1 inside windshield eagle emblem (which is reproduced). These cars were very rust prone and this one is quite solid. Majority of (remaining) paint on the car is original. Floors are perfect, you couldn't ask for nicer. So is the undercarriage, not heavily rusted or corroded (like you see out here in the Midwest). Way better than most. It needs a small patch on driver side rocker, (see photo 5), very easy fix. On the passenger side where it is dented there is rust out. An area about 30 in long and 2 to 2 1/2 wide. It's not bad, an entire quality reproduction extended rocker (72 in) is $80, so this will be a straightforward fix. It appears to me water got trapped in this area and that is what caused the rust. Rest of rocker is solid. The dent will come out, to me it looks like it was just popped in. This car spent time in junkyard and I think something was bumped or backed into it there. The car has damage on the passenger side rear bumper area, it looks like this can be worked out also, but if wanted I am including a section from another car to repair it, should you want to just cut it out. . Also will include entire remains of that car if wanted And another rear bumper (see parts list below for more info). Driver's side door dented as you can see, this will pull out but I know where you can get a straight solid door (see below), might be easier to bolt on another. The trim on this door will straighten out. Some old body work done on upper driver side quarter. Yes this car has the 392 cu. in. HEMI which is complete, I don't have the build sheet but see no reason not to think this is the original HEMI to the car. I think it has a spun run bearing so it will need to be rebuilt. I can't get it to turn over. That's the most common issue with these when they won't turn and aren't stuck due to rust.. Pulled the heads off, one cylinder wall has some light surface rust, rest are pristine (I do have photos showing the motor with the heads off). I have reassembled the motor but figure on tear down and rebuild, car deserves it anyway. Only thing I didn't try to was to see if trans was locking up motor. Or perhaps I just didn't try hard enough to free motor and tat one cylinder is stuck? It has been sitting a long long time. Motor is complete, carb is out so that is why it is off in certain photos, a better carb will be reinstalled. 66k is what's on the odometer, don't know if original, it could be based on looking at cylinder walls. I doubt this car has run since 1980. The interior is of course dry rotted and will need to be completely redone. But everything is there, nothing missing or broken. And no rust out! The front seat on the passenger side will need some work on the springs as it sits low. The driver's side armrest is there, just wasn't installed in the photos. Car even has both very rare sill plates which are really nice. The plastic door panel inserts are perfect (those are $800 a pair reproduction). The passenger side door and quarter glass go up and down. Couldn't get driver door and quarter window to move. Seat motor runs but doesn't move. The headlight switch appears to be good, headlights, parking light, and tail lights work. Antenna and horns do not. Glove box and lower part of dash in good shape, dash pad needs to be redone, steering wheel pretty cracked, will need to be recast. The access panel for the steering gear has surface rust (very common) but no rust out. There is a Southern California AAA sticker on the windshield and one for the "Quail Valley Country Club" There is scattering of papers and stuff I found when cleaning out the car, including the last registered owner's name & address, (appears to have been an elderly couple). All glass on the car is in excellent to like new condition. Car even has it's original bumper jack and the wood block, all in great shape. Most chrome needs replating but excellent cores, no junk. Stainless is nice, vast majority just needs polishing. This is California trim not the stuff you see back east....... Flyte Sweep trunk insert is in good shape, needs replating but usually these are shot. No rust in trunk, about 90% of factory undercoating is present Will come with a clear California title. I am selling this car because there is a convertible I would like to purchase. As much as I want to keep and restore this one, I have many cars, and I am short on time, space & money. I want to see this car go to good home, to someone who will do a full restoration on it to factory specs. I regret having to let it go, will not see another one like this. One of the photos is of the paint behind the data plate (where there is no wear) so you can see what a stunning color this is. I will sell to overseas buyers and may be able to help you out finding a shipper. I have several contacts for continental US shipping. Please feel free to call me to discuss. Garrett: 847-707-8312 Or e-mail me. Here's a link to a slideshow with more photos: http://ivyhillhomes.com/1957_Imperial.html With the car I will include following additional or rebuilt parts: nice hood emblem, very nice pair of headlight buckets, bezels, and eyebrow trim passenger hood hinge (passenger side is bad)passenger side quarter stainless,1 door stainless1 trunk stainless (piece that wraps around)driver's side interior door handledriver's side exhaust manifold (one on car has broken studs)1 good tail light assembly (will be installed in place of one on car) extra interior roof chrome piecesnicer dome light assembly (already installed)extra exterior rear window stainlessremains of another 2dr coupe which has upper quarters both sides, the whole trunk lip area, etc. Whole car can be picked up (car is in Bakersfield, CA) or cut off parts. FYI It will be 1-2 months before this car can be picked up or parts cut off nice rear bumper carburetornew fuel pumpnew belts & hosesnew voltage regulatornew thermostatnew coil & coil bracket I have many other parts for these cars and can work out a deal for other things, I also have access to a straight rust free driver's side door than can be worked into the deal. One photo shows motor when I got car, before it was cleaned. Carb is off, been replaced by better one. $2000 Deposit, via PayPal within 3 days of auction end. NO EXCEPTIONS Balance due within 7 days unless other arrangements have been made. Cash, cashier's check, or wire transfer. Contact me for other payment terms. This needs to be picked up sooner than later.
