OK Mopar fans - here's the Gentleman's Hot Rod that you have been looking for! You can be the third owner of an all unmolested, unrestored original (except wheels) 1968 Chrysler 300 “Fast Top” with a strong 440 big block motor. I am the second titled owner of this car -- it has a current clean Kansas title. It has obviously been garaged for its entire life, including now. This is a really nice car and I wish I had room to keep it. It had several years of idle time until about a year ago. A copy of the original Missouri title, factory special order sheet, owner's manual, service manual and dealer color/ trim book come with the car. The mileage is 96,XXX.The car runs and drives very well. The 440 runs smoothly, the transmission works great and downshifts properly when called upon. The car will get up and go as you would expect. This car has big 10" drum brakes and stops very well. The car drives straight down the road. The interior is in really good shape. The only issues are some stitching pulled out on the passenger side, and the driver's door upholstery is loose in a couple of small spots. The floors are solid and the carpet in great shape. The original floor mats are included. Headliner is perfect. The car has original factory AC -- it will need to be charged. The original radio is there and works. The paint is the original Polar White. There are some surface spots, mostly on the left rear fender which had been touched up before I got the car. The chrome and stainless are excellent. I have chosen not to address the cosmetic issues, as this will become your car and you can deal with this as you see fit.The tires are new 235/75r-15BF Goodrich Longtrail TA Tour purchased on 3-21-15. They are mounted on real Mopar road wheels with chrome centers and trim rings. The painted section was done in proper Polar white and clear-coated. There is very minor pitting on the chrome centers but they look great. The original 1968 factory wheels and hubcaps are included with this sale.Photos and videos of the car can be seen online at http://1drv.ms/1x78qK3 It will work best with Internet Explorer or Google Chrome browsers. Be patient - it takes a second or two for the pictures to sharpen up.This car is listed for sale locally in the Kansas City area, and this auction may be cancelled pending an acceptable local offer. I would encourage you to call or text me at 785-760-3480 if you are serious about bidding a significant amount for this car. I would consider some vintage McIntosh audio equipment as partial trade material if you have such. Here below is a summary of the car’s condition. Thanks for your interest!Important things that you don't need to worry about:Car is roadworthy, dependable and handles well - I would drive it anywhere.Engine runs well with no smoke - it has not been tuned up or had carb cleaned.Transmission shifts properly with no clunks or noises.New tires / Mopar road wheels with correct paint. Correct touch up spray and dob bottle included.ZERO rust on the door bottoms or trunk lid. (first thing I check on a car)Headlight doors work properly with new motor.Crank windows all work properly, as do the vents and vent windowsInterior in overall very good condition.New hoses and coolant purchased for the car – included in the sale.Locks and ignition work properly, original Mopar keys.Glass is excellent.
