This van has a knocking sound coming from the engine on start up. It has a tap when running. This van needs engine work. It is drivable. The drivers side door has a big dent where it was backed into. The drivers door opens fine and the window goes up and down ok. The middle door on the drivers side has push button open and close feature but isn't working. It opens and closes fine by hand. The tire monitor light is on because the original wheels are on my other van. I can put the original wheels back on if you want them but will not until the van is paid for. The tires have about 5,000 miles on them. The engine started making noise between 5,000 and 10,000 miles ago. The reason I am selling the van is because I have too many vehicles and I don't need this van. Again this van is going to need engine work. Do not bid on this van unless you plan on getting it fixed or are using it for parts. There are some small scratches and dents on the van. The interior is good to fair condition. 1961 Imperial by ChryslerThis was the last year of Chrysler’s finned cars designed by Virgil Exner. The odometer shows a little over 21,000 miles and from the overall condition of the car, it is believable. Among the receipts was a repair bill dated 7/3/1976 for $190.80 which recorded the mileage as 14,601. A new muffler was installed 7/19/82, but the odometer reading was not recorded.We were told that its loving owner died some years ago. The widow left it parked in her garage for the next X years. When the estate was settled in June of 2007, the new owners put about $4,115 worth of work into it including a brake job, battery, exhaust system, rubber hoses, windshield wiper motor, front seat seam repair, and painting of L & R rocker jams. The owners saved every invoice for the work done. In early 2008, the car was driven about 100 miles to my private museum where it has been driven only on special events. The odometer now shows 21,161 miles. We put new (modern white wall) tires on it in 2011.It looks like the car has spent it’s whole life of 52 years inside a garage.
