Electric Fan conversion, headers, high flow cats, exhaust, full brake upgrade with SSBC rear disc brake conversion upgrade. Extensive body work including shaved handles, moon roof, cowl induction hood and front and rear aftermarket spoilers. Interior redone with katzkin leather. Need to tow? No problem, there is a hidden hitch to tow and attach bike racks! Too much to list!!! Passes smog just like new!!! This is my baby and hate to see this go. Currently drive on weekends. Drives well. Check engine light goes on every now and then because It is custom tuned for a supercharger, but now the maf reads in error, but makes no harm to the engine. Runs on 87 or higher. This ones a looker! I am selling this for my grandfather, whom is seeking a 66-67 427 Corvette, and can't store this any longer. I have just driven it to Wisconsin, and now I have the opportunity to move cross country. I take this, or my '56 Belair. The choice is clear. During the trip, not a spec of oil left the pan, nor coolant, nor trans fluid. It cruised superbly at 70mph at 2000rpm, and achieved some impressive mileage through the Rockies. I would love to keep this, but alas cannot. I hope it goes to a sincere enthusiast who will continue its life of play and leisure. If you want a real southern truck with literally no rust or body damage, this is the one. Driven by a disabled vet most of its life, and meticulously maintained by the car enthusiast owner. I just drove this back from Arizona, to sell on the owners behalf. 14mpg through the mountains on 33s, can't beat that. Mechanically solid, and besides the desert pin striping and clear fade, the exterior is flawless. The hood is a nos gm stock unit, as the paint matched one had a 6" cowl that is highly illegal anywhere but az. 97 Tahoe 2dr vortec 350 4wdTop end serviced at 140k, cylinder heads are new Gm. Need garage space, otherwise this is a keeper. I will try and disclose to the best of my knowledge what I know about the truck. I got this truck from my Father in 2010, he was a mechanic at Karl Chevrolet in Ankeny Iowa, a very high volume dealership and took care of the vehicle himself. Since 2010 I have done the following: New Battery March 2014 New Fuel Pump July 2010 New U-joint installed August 2011 New front brake pads and rotors October 2013 New rear Tires The Good Truck does not leak a drop of oil....nor does it burn any oil, the engine runs very well. I think at some point the truck was repainted...the paint is very good. It appears to be lifted a bit. After -market wheels. The exhaust has been modified....it has a throaty sound at idle and acceleration and gurgles a bit when decelerating...it sounds fantastic, but not too loud. The Bad A couple small, almost unnoticeable dents (paint unharmed) in the hood. A small tree limb fell on the hood while it was in my driveway. The rear wiper switch needs replaced...it is not currently working. The AC blows cold, however, once the AC starts cycling the clutch does not engage. Its my understanding that this is the 'Air Gap' on the clutch plate that needs adjusted. A simple and inexpensive fix, that I have not yet done. The clutch and clutch plate are press-fit and they merely need pressed on a bit tighter so the magnet can engage when the AC cycles. The drivers side armrest was not aged well and has a large crack in it. The drivers side seat shows wear and some small cracks.
