For sale is my 2004 Chevrolet Suburban with Z-71 Off-road package and clean title. Vehicle has been very reliable until about 2013 when a flaw in the casting of the cylinder heads was discovered. so in 2013 (170k on the odometer) I had a brand new crated engine and radiator installed which has less than 30k miles and some warranty remaining. Also in 2014 (194k on the odometer) the transmission was professionally removed, rebuilt and reinstalled. Front end was professionally rebuilt in 2013. All paperwork is available and will be included with this sale. Vehicle head lights have been converted to HID in 2014 complete with new headlamp housings. The vehicle is now only used twice a year to pull my boat in and out of storage and occasionally to run to the lumber store. Otherwise, the vehicle is kept in storage which is now needed for other toys so the suburban has to go. This vehicle is not in excellent condition and the asking price is reflecting this. Here is a list of known issue which are minor and does not affect the reliable performance.There is rust on the front and rear bumpers which is typical for this model year. Vehicle has minor dings and scratches as you would expect for this model year.Rear wiper motor needs replacementDriver seating surface has a tear in the leather cover. Back was replaced new in 2009. All other leather seating surfaces show in good condition. Instrument cluster stepper motors need replacement. RPM gauge not functioning, speed odometer is erratic. I had this repaired in 2009 for about $50 and this is a typical problem with these GM vehicles. Current pricing to fix this is about $75. Factory radio occasionally will not work (no sound but unit is powered up) but it is on rare occasion. Vehicle does have remote start but has been disconnected when I purchased my last new vehicle to move a remote start module to new vehicle. Can be made active again for a small fee by an installer.
