QUESTIONS? 502-727-9945 This Chevrolet SSR (Super Sport Roadster) is a retractable hardtop convertible pickup truck manufactured by Chevrolet in 2004. The 2004 models used General Motors' Vortec 5300 engine, a 5.3 L 300 HP V8. Performance was 7.7 seconds for 0–60 mph (0–97 km/h) with a 15.9 s/86.4 mph quarter mile run. This Super Sport Roadster is based on the long-wheelbase Chevrolet Trailblazer EXT's platform, and features 1940’s "retro" styling and a steel retractable hardtop designed by American Sunroof Corporation. The production model was based on the SuperSport Roadster concept car shown at the 2000 Detroit Auto Show. An early-production SSR was the pace car for the 2003 Indianapolis 500 Automobile Race. The vehicle's design was inspired by the late-1940s Chevrolet trucks, specifically the 1947–1955 Advance Design pickups. This particular SSR was sold new in by Buckalew Chevrolet in Conroe TX on October 12, 2004. The original owner sold the SSR to a Classic Car Dealer in September 2015. I subsequently purchased the SSR form the Classic Car Dealer in September of 2016. I have a copy of the original title and can verify all of the ownership information. I have a copy of the current Carfax and this SSR shows no accident history and the Carfax verifies the current mileage. In September of 2016, I had the SSR serviced at Bob Hook Chevrolet in Louisville KY and this SSR passed the Certified Service Multipoint inspection without any problems and the Chevrolet service history shows that the original owner serviced the SSR regularly. All four tires have greater than 3/32 inch and all four brakes have greater than 7MM. As you can see from the inspection sheep, there are no further issues. The undercarriage is very clean showing light surface rust and normal wear. The red painted underbody is still clean and showing bright color. This SSR runs and drives very well with no issues, or problems. The fact that this SSR has over 130,000 miles and still looks like an SSR with far fewer miles is a testament to the care it received from the original owner. Here is a chance to purchase an SSR for thousands less and still be able to be proud to drive and seen at cruise ins.
