2006 Chevy Silverado Duromax Diesel 4X4 Crew Cab Dually If you're familiar with these trucks, you know how great they are and difficult to find. Truck runs down the road as it should with Ice Cold A/C etc. Rather than glorify the truck let me point out the flaws. The tires are NOT my choice, but I wouldn't change them to resell as everyone has their own idea for tire selection. A couple of them should be replaced regardless. The driver's side wheel well arch has a crack in it pictured. I personally wouldn't touch it. Passenger side emblem is cracked Depicted. At the time of the listing, the pictures of the bed didn't come out. The truck has a bedliner and rails for a fifth wheel. Regulary serviced and maintained every 3k miles (oil change and suspension grease, I have all records of maintenance that was done, like tune up, fluids, lines, engine maint., trans maint., differential maint., suspension service etc. I always used only original GM-AC Delco parts (no aftermket at all).Truck is in very good condition in and out (nice and clean) garage kept since I have it. Vehicle have no leaks at all. Engine, transmission, cooling lines and hoses are clean and dry. I recently replaced front tires (Toyo - Open Country for heavy duty trucks) and it had wheel alignment . 1992, Chevrolet C3500/K3500 trucks were available with a "dually" option -- that is, they had four wheels in the rear instead of the traditional two. This wheel option did not change any of the trucks' mechanical specifications. Placing two tires on both ends of a single axle, however, almost doubles the weight-carrying capacity of that axle. Also, this configuration allows three properly-inflated tires to carry the full weight load temporarily if one of the four rear tires loses pressure or is flat. EngineIn 1992, all C/K 3500 truck models featured a 5.7-liter V8 engine. This engine had a bore of 4.00 inches, a stroke of 3.48 inches and a compression ratio of 8.6:1. It produced 190 horsepower at 4,000 rpm and 300 ft-lbs. of torque at 2,400 rpm. A five-speed manual transmission was standard, but all could be outfitted with a four-speed automatic transmission .They were available with optional 6.2-liter V8 diesel or 7.4-liter V8 engines.Brakes and Suspension These trucks were outfitted with independent suspension in the front with an anti-roll bar and a live-axle rear suspension. 1988 Chevy V30. 1 ton dually. 4 wheel drive. 454, 4 speed Silverado with manual locks and windows. Odometer reads 52,163 not sure but I would guess it really is 152,163 and counting. I believe this has the Dana 60 front and rear axles. This truck runs and drives good. 4 wheel drive works good. But it does need some work. The check engine light will come on once it gets up to temperature but not always?? It does surge, mainly when you take off. It does need a new fan relay (sometimes it needs tapped on to work). I've replaced two distributor modules within 3 or 4 months. It needs one U-Joint replaced in the front drive shaft. Rear springs have a couple of broken leafs. Dash pad is cracked. Has newer exhaust but needs a manifold donut and stud replaced, has duals. Just giving you an idea of the main problem areas. Cab is pretty good shape with some rust through on both rockers and cab corners. Great floor pans. Air conditioning works good. Converted to 134. Delay wipers work as well as the washers. Good cloth headliner. Seat is starting to rip on the drivers side. Truck drives straight down the road. Tires are decent. Both front fenders have rust through. Truck has been repainted but needs another once over. I was planning on getting rid of the throttle body and computer and changing the intake to a carb and HEI distributor. Truck doesn't use any oil or anti-freeze. The truck has great potential and these are getting hard to get ahold of. If you are coming a long ways I might recommend bringing a trailer or at least a new distributor module. It does run and drive. Sounds good etc...but does need looked at to be trouble free again.
