Up for sale is my super clean 2003 Chevy Silverado SS. This truck has a Gibson performance exhaust, cowl induction hood, cold air intake, programmed computer and 22" wheels. The exterior is in excellent condition with the only faults being a scratched up spoiler at the top of the tailgate and a scratched up bed. The tonneau cover is also a little tired. The drivers side mirror is starting to fade (from the auto dimming feature), but besides that for a 2003 it is in excellent condition. The Interior is also excellent with typical wear for a 2003 Chevy. The drivers armrest is cracking and the seat bottom on the edge. The dash has a section that is black, versus gray, about 3"-4" long and a few of the buttons show their age. Mechanically, this truck is near perfect. I cannot fault it for anything and as a matter of fact I took it round trip from NY to Key West, FL, just last month. I did 34000 miles with out a hiccup and wouldn't hesitate to do it again. The truck runs, shifts, handles, stops and looks great. Every accessory in the truck works as it should, heated seats, power folding mirrors, air conditioning, heat, power seats, stereo, cruise control, steering wheel controls, everything!!! I am also leaving out the tool box installed in the bed, bright white led light bulbs (similar to hid, but no cutting harnesses) I do have a good title for the car, however I do have a loan on it as well, so there is a lien on it. This auction is for a WRECKED 2003 Chevy Silverado SS extended cab short bed pickup. It has the 345 horsepower 6.0L LS based V8 engine, automatic transmission and AWD drivetrain. Odometer shows 204,397 miles (as of auction listing). It has a SALVAGE Ohio title-not rebuilt. Black exterior that is in good shape for age and mileage, from the doors back. The black leather interior could use cleaned, but is also in good shape for age and mileage, with cracking/tears on driver side front seat bottom. As you can tell, this truck has been wrecked, and has front end damage. It is very likely there is some sort of frame damage from the accident, but I am not an expert. I bought this truck for the engine/drivetrain for another vehicle, and have since decided to cancel that project. Some of the damaged parts were removed in order to start the engine without damage, and all of those parts were placed in the bed of the truck. Most of the damaged parts not still attached to the front of the truck are also in the bed. The engine fired right up, and ran great-radiator and cooling fan damaged so engine was not ran for a long period of time. Truck will "lot drive" (slow speeds around parking lot) and could be taken down the road *at own risk* for test drive. All doors are rust free and in good shape. Bed has a small spot of surface rust on passenger side (looks like a paint chip that was neglected) but otherwise in great shape. Has a line X bedliner. Wheels all appear to be in good shape with no cracks or bends. Tires all have decent tread left, with more tread on the fronts-the passenger front tire appears to have some marks on it from accident, but holds air. All engine wiring is in tact, along with engine accessories and brackets. Would be a great donor vehicle or parts vehicle!!! Or I'm sure with enough time and knowledge, the truck could be repaired and back on the road?! Truck is located in Dayton, OH 45414. I do have a truck and trailer, and delivery is an option (for extra money of course) but please ask first. PLEASE, SERIOUS BIDDERS/BUYERS ONLY!!!! 2003 CHEVROLET SILVERADO SS Launched in early 2003, the Silverado SS is a high-performance pickup truck built by Chevrolet. It is based on the 1500 Silverado with upgrades in drive train and both exterior and interior appearance. It was equipped standard with the 6.0 liter Vortec High-Output V8 rated at 345 hp (257 kW) at 5200 rpm and 380 lb·ft (515 N·m) of torque at 4000 rpm coupled to a 4L65E four speed automatic transmission. This was the same engine used for the second generation Cadillac Escalade. Chevrolet and GMC advertised this engine as the Vortec High Output and later as the "VortecMAX", while Cadillac calls it the "HO 6000". The SS debuted in 2003 with a standard All Wheel Drive setup with a 4.10 final drive gear ratio and 4 wheel disc brakes. In 2004, in an attempt to increase sales, a 2-wheel drive version became available (the 2WD SS also lost its rear disc brakes in favor of drums, as did the rest of the 1/2-ton GMT800s). 2005 was also the first year the sun roof was available in the SS line up. In 2005, the AWD variant was dropped and the rear wheel drive was the only driveline layout available. In a further effort to reduce cost, you could also get cloth interior and/ or bench seat. The Silverado SS also comes with the Z60 performance suspension and 20 inch aluminum wheels. All the SS trucks in both 2 wheel drive and AWD used the torsion bar style front suspension for better handling. It should also be noted the SS themed trucks were only available from the factory in Black Onyx, Victory Red, and Arrival Blue Metallic from 2003 to 2004. In 2004 Arrival Blue Metallic was dropped from the color choice and replaced with Silver Birch Metallic. Here is a 2 owner (one family) 2003 Siverado SS with all the options that were available in that model year. This all-wheel drive truck will out perform most other trucks on the road; while having the all-wheel drive capability for the winter months as well. This truck has been in one family since new. It has been extremely well taken care of... and it shows. It does have some minor stone chips, but well below that average for a 2003 vehicle. The interior is exceptionally clean showing only minor wear on the drivers seat, and no cracking on the dash or any of the other interior surfaces. This truck is completely stock with the exception of a mildly toned Borla exhaust system. No other modifications have been done. This truck has always been adult owned, and maintained to a high standard. Clean Carfax record with no issues or accidents. The original wheels show no wear or curb rash, and the tires have maybe 10,000 miles on them.
