This old 5 window is sitting on a modern frame with disc brakes. The engine is smooth and the brakes work a little. The truck needs a good owner to set it right. We are plumbing in a fuel tank to run it up on the trailer for shipping. Itts got a cool bench seat that moves around if you power it up. The cab corners have a rough patch job. THE ENGINE, TRANSMISSION, WHEELS WITH TIRES THAT ARE IN THE PICTURES ON THE TRUCK ARE NOT INCLUDED THEY HAVE BEEN REMOVED, IT DOES HAVE ROLLER WHEELS AND TIRES FOR TRANSPORT!!BUY IT NOW OR MAKE OFFER on this 1957 Chevy 3100 1/2 ton pickup with a late 1970's Camaro front clip, it is a project that was a daily driver about 8 years ago and they decided to take it apart and go through it again and this is as far as it got. The clip(front frame)is from a late 1970's Camaro with power disc brakes and power steering, the rearend it the truck differential that has been drilled out to a 5 on 4 3/4 bolt pattern. The bad rust area's have been repaired(still needs more) look at pictures for bad area's. it does need new glass. There are a lot of new parts included as seen in pictures. For sale is my 1955 Chevy second series truck. The paint is decent and driver quality (20 footer), the body is extremely straight and rust-free. I can find no body filler, and the truck is from California. It has an export VIN, so I'm guessing it was exported to Mexico, as it's that solid. It was registered in California in the 80's and 90's, and was purchased about 2.5 years ago by a couple in Portland Oregon for their private collection. I bought the truck in January and it still had it's original 235 inline 6 cylinder and toploader 4 speed on the floor (three speed plus a DEEP granny low). I've since installed a brand GM Goodrich 350 crate engine with new Edelbrock intake and 600 cfm carburetor, new Pertronix Flamethrower distributor and coil, new Taylor wires, new high temp coated ram's horn manifolds, etc... It runs great, and should make about 250 horsepower and 300+ lb. ft. of torque. I reused the toploader transmission by finding the correct cast iron bellhousing, and installed a new Pioneer cast steel flywheel. As mentioned above, I can find no body filler, but there is on patch tig welded in the floor (see last picture). They typically rusted through due water accumulating under the rubber mat. I've installed carpet for a little more luxurious feel and a nicer look. The rest of the interior was already done when I bought it, and looks very nice. I removed the heater box, but it did not leak, the fan works great, and all the parts are in a box and will be included with sale. The lights, turn signals, horn, wipers, and gauges all work, but I did disconnect the ammeter and install a voltage gauge under the dash. The oak in the bed could use refinishing, and there are dents and dings inside the bed on the sides, but they're not visible outside. It also has drum brakes and the original suspension, but brakes well and steers just as you'd expect. These are not meant for slalom racing! I am the original owner of this truck., it was purchased new at Courtesy Chevrolet in Thousand Oaks, CA in August of 1975 and has been a California truck all it's life. This is a rare six cylinder with a three on a tree transmission. (clutch and column mounted shifter.) They're not many of these trucks around. (try to find one, highly collectable anyway, but even more so rare with a three on a tree transmission.) It's easy and fun to drive. It does have a camper shell, but I would imagine anyone restoring the truck would want to get rid of it. (but it goes with the truck.) Everything is original, the engine was rebuilt and has about a 1,000.00 miles on it, but the truck hasn't been driven in about five years. A buyer would need to have the truck towed, gas and oil drained and then go from there. It has sat for so many years, I am selling the truck as-is with the new buyer accepting responsibility for any California DMV or smog duties required to register the truck. As for the odometer, I put 150000 but I'm just not sure. (I can't recall if it was working or not when I parked the truck.) This truck is original and stock. The AC was installed by the dealer after the truck was purchased. The radio was swapped out, but that's about it. These seat is original, but recovered, but needs to be done again. It has the original grill and round headlights. (not swapped out like so many were.) It also has the original round break lights on the back. (not the square, like 90% of them seem to have.) There is some rust on the drivers side fender, but either fender work or a new fender can be done fairly reasonably. The truck needs cosmetic work both to the outside and the interior and thus the price of $5,500.00 If you're looking for a MINT 1975 step side truck with a three on a tree. I can point you to ad's on the internet where they sell for as much as $35,000.00., but if you want a good starter point to restore one of these yourself, this is the truck. (very loved truck, reluctant sale.) Please come out and take a look prior to bidding. First hand inspections are best and I can work with your schedule. The truck will need to be towed. Come out, take a look... submit a offer and we can take it from there. It's far from mint, but a new paint job and interior work would really make this truck shine again.
