Hello......up for auction is a 1968 Chevrolet C20 Custom Camper Special Pickup. I bought this around 3 years ago. This was going to be my first project truck. I never had the money or time to even start on it. Now I need to get rid of it due to my current financial situation. I know little about old trucks, but I will try to answer any questions you may have as best as I can. The man I bought this from started to take everything apart to rebuild, but found another truck he decided to invest in. The transmission has been covered under 3 tarps and left in the bed of the truck. It got rained on a few times when I uncovered it. (I moved it to sweep the leaves out that had fallen in the bed.) The tailgate has a lot of rust on the bottom. The passenger side bracket that holds the tailgate up is missing. I just noticed that. The engine has been taken apart. Numbers cast on it are :3970010 The 350 engine looks complete. The engine block, heads, manifold, torque converter, and all other parts you see have been covered in storage. The radiator and fan shroud were left behind the seat. Please look at photos carefully. If you want me to take additional photos, please just ask.
