Originally out of central Florida, it was the subject of an excellent earlier restoration, featuring all original sheet metal, the car is very solid and straight. The 350 small block received a top end freshening and a step up in cam size. The 3-speed automatic was also just gone through, and shifts crisply. No longer just a straight line muscle car from the 70’s, the front suspension is all new, with tubular a-arms, a massive stabilizer bar, and a closer ratio steering box. The car drives like a sports car, with no detectible rollout in turns. The rear leaf springs are new with composite bushings, and a rear stabilizer bar is included but uninstalled. The BF Goodrich Comp T/A’s are in very good shape, including rears on rally rims to substitute for the competition tires presently on the car. Factory A/C works well, as does everything else on the car. The original steering wheel is also included, as well as a spare Goodyear Eagle on a rally rim with ring and hub as trunk candy. It also comes with two sets of keys and service records. This SS is certainly not a trailer queen, but a solid car to be enjoyed and receive that repeated “thumbs up” from passersby. It starts, runs, and performs exceptionally well. Hagerty values #1 cars north of $35k, making this example a reasonable deal at the price offered here.
