When I started my project to restore this 1972 Chevy Nova 4 door sedan that I bought from the original owners in Arizona I didn’t know how it would turn out, so I started telling my friends and family that this was going to be a numbers matching restoration of course it turned out to be all my numbers. This Nova started out with a 307 cu-in engine with factory air, 350 thm transmission, power steering, standard drum brakes, remote driver side mirror because the car had air conditioning, rubber floor covering and of course an am radio. The tan paint was faded and sandblasted from the Arizona sun and sand storms and the vinyl interior was hard and starting to crack. So to make this story short I started putting together all the stuff and parts I had in my garage and buy everything else I needed from various vendors including all my original air conditioning components restored or what was needed new from Classic Auto Air in Tampa Florida. Now this 4 door sedan Nova has a new Sandstone Metallic paint job, new sandal wood vinyl interior and black carpet with sound deadener under the carpet, but now the good stuff, under the hood a stout 1967-396 cu-in engine with all the good things done to it, completely balanced, steel crankshaft, 7/16 rod bolt rods, forged pistons, comp cam, Edelbrock intake, Holley 750 carburetor, Z28 air cleaner, MSD ignition, big block power steering pump, and power front disc brakes, all new front and rear suspension, a Borg/Warner Super T10 – 4 speed transmission with a Hurst shifter that has a Nova Muncie shifter handle, a Centerforce Clutch & Pressure plate was also installed, and a 69 Camaro tilt steering column. Also anyone who knows Chevrolet knows that GM never put air conditioning in any Nova that had a 396 Big Block in it so what had to be done was get everything from a 1969 Camaro because GM did put AC in Camaro’s with a 396 – 325 HP engine so for this Nova the evaporator box on the fire wall and evaporator that was used in a Camaro along with new ac hoses also a Camaro COPO radiator with the curved water neck was needed so that the radiator hose would clear the ac compressor clutch. Cooper Cobra Tires and dog dish hub caps were added for that muscle car look. This 1972 Nova has 38,000 original miles on the car. Less than 1,000 miles on Engine. Absolutely rust free with no body filler anywhere. I know I missed something so ask any questions. A lot of time and money went into this 4 door Nova I am looking to get $25,000 it could not be duplicated for that price. Shipping is on the buyer or just come and pick it up and drive it home. Certified bank check must clear before car and title is delivered.
