1966 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova Check out this 1966 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova. The car was recently restored. The undercarriage is as clean as the top side (see pics). The car has been just completed. The car starts, idles and accelerates like a rocket with the GM 355 motor. The heads are cast double hump and have the big 190/202 valves for great flow. The Proform Street Series supplies the fuel and is nicely tuned. Car starts very easily and idles without any issues. The rebuilt Turbo 350 trans and 2500 stall pulls off without vibration and shifts very smoothly. The front end handles the road great. The car cruises down the road at highway speeds with no vibrations or wandering. It steers with ease and stops with no pulling or vibrations. The 10 bolt posi rear end with 373 gears gives you the low end “pin you to your seat” acceleration that will make you grin from ear to ear. It is a very good cruiser, very dependable and a real eye catcher. The paint is fresh (just finished) with no miles on it, in very good shape with no scratches, dings or issues. It was wet sanded and buffed to a mirror finish. You have to see it in person to believe it. The body work is straight and the body gaps are great. Many, many hours went into the body work to achieve such a nice paint job. There are no fitment issues. The car is fast but at the same time is very dependable. If car shows are your thing then you should be able to bring home many trophies with this beautiful car. I have set a reasonable But It Now price. It is WAY less than you could ever come close to building this car for. Selling my 1970 Nova 2 Door. It has a newer re-built, with little expense spared, 307 SBC with headers and brand new, professionally installed Dual Exhaust with Dual Flowmaster 44 Mufflers. Most everything under the hood is brand new! New Brakes all around from shoes to Master Cylinder and Booster. Original Drum Brakes. Has new Carpet, Door Panels, Floor Mats, Weather Stripping, Etc Etc. Hood is off a restored 68 Nova and Trunk Lid is new aftermarket. New Rear Bumper. This car has been a labor of love for me but due to declining health/autoimmune disease, I am forced to sell the car. It is not a perfect car, needs body work, headliner and of course.....paint. This car could be a really good daily drive for someone. It does have it's issues but I have repaired or replaced most of the components of this car I will include over 5k in receipts of parts we have purchased for this car. The tires are BF Goodrich 235R60 on the rear and 215R60 on the Front. Brand new Tires! Less than 100 miles on them. The Rear axle was switched to a Ford Dana 44 Posi axle. This car has all new shocks and ball joints. I can answer questions about the car, I think it is originally a 6 Cylinder car. I will add more pics, the trunk looks great, no Rust issues! There are some pin holes in the Floorboards on the passenger side front. Nothing that stopped me from throwing carpet over it. We Sanded and painted the underneath top to bottom. It has a Holley intake with Edelbrock 4BBL carburetor. Electronic ignition has been installed. The exhaust manifolds are correct for a 1966 283ci. Please look at the engine photos to see how nice the engine compartment looks. The engine starts and runs excellent with no overheating or messy leaks or drips. Transmission: The transmission is a 4-speed and shifts up and down the gears fine. Exterior: The exterior is exceptional. The paint, chrome and bright work are in very good to excellent condition. All glass is very good to excellent condition. Rims and tires are excellent. Interior: The interior is in very good condition overall. There are no rips or tears in the upholstery. The dash, headliner, sail panels and package tray are all in very nice condition. The carpet is in very good condition and has what appears to be new NOVA floor mats. The door panels are in good condition as well with nicely installed speakers. All seat belts are present. Door locks and windows are in good working order. Rear Axle: The rear axle is a 10-bolt and has no leaking, clunking or funny noises. Undercarriage: The undercarriage is clean and shows to be in very nice overall condition as you will see the photos. The exhaust system is in good condition. Electrical: All exterior lights are in working order to include the headlights, tail lights, running lights, blinkers and the plate light. (The backup lights are not connected.) The speedometer, wipers, horn, cigarette lighter and gauges are all functional. The heater works fine. The interior light works. The AM/FM cassette radio works but because it was drawing off the battery, even when the key was off, I disconnected the wire going to the positive side of the battery which in turn made the radio non-operational. Trunk: The trunk is in very good rust free condition with a spare but no jack assembly. Mechanical: The brakes to include the emergency brake work correctly. The steering is very good with no power steering. The suspension is very good with no issues. Tires and rims are excellent. The Nova starts, shifts and drives down the road great. I have tried very hard through description, photos and video to present this 1966 Nova 400 2-Door Sport Coupe honestly and fairly. 4 wheel power disc brakes, fully boxed, cage, mini tub, Dana 4.11 rear, 15,000 miles driven, garage kept since 1994 with a California indoor cover (included) and I know it was garage kept for 5 years before that. Recent tuning with overall check and maintenance. Runs on 93 octane pump gas and higher. Numbered midnight blue exterior, black and bare interior, 43,309 miles, 6 point roll cage with swing out bars, Corbeau driver’s seat (no harness, shoulder and lap belts), a passenger seat, no back seat or package tray but trunk is separated from cabin, no air ducts, vents, radio or carpet. New battery with quick disconnect on battery terminal, NOS window felts and door seals, headliner is in very good condition. Some paint issues (painted in ’94), windshield wipers do not work, no major bodywork done or needed, stock front suspension, runs great, clean and solid. 1975 350ci 4 bolt main Corvette block, .30” over, crank, ground .10” with .10” larger bearings and 1.94” iron heads with baffled aluminum valve covers built in '94. 10:1 compression ratio, TRW forged piston heads and rods, standard rocker arm ratio with hydraulic lifters, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, Holley 750cfm 4 barrel double pumper carb with mechanical advance and pressure regulator, Racer Brown cam shaft just under .3” lift and just over 300 degrees of duration. double chain timing chain, non-fluid Corvette big harmonic balancer, high volume oil pump in a 6qt aluminum pan, tall boy K&N oil filter, Mallory ignition with 8mm wires, headers with x-pipe dual exhaust, 4 row brass radiator (12 years old), ARP or grade 8 hardware, 6 blade large high efficiency manual cooling fan, manual steering (not fast ratio), no heater core, blower motor or housing. Built 350 Trans w/stage 2 shift kit, slap shift and extra trans cooler. Performance flywheel and torque converter, no stall or trans brake. Done in '96. The car was originally a manual transmission and changed before I got it. Moser 12 bolt Dana rear w/4.11 ratio true track diff with Willwood disc brakes. Mini tub, 295/65 15 Mickey Thompson ET Street tires on Centerline 15” rims, 4 link, adjustable coil overs, ladder bars and properly leveled. New housing, axle rods, bearings, etc, long wheel lugs, fully boxed in, large balanced drive shaft with front and rear catch loops, under hood rewired, 100 amp single wire alternator, rear wheel disc brakes added with a vacuum reserve can, new large booster and master cylinder. Done in ’06. New front tires with 15” Centerline rims. The other matching set of rims that were on back before the mini tub are included. Fiberglass deck lid, no latch or hinges. It is held on with 4 "hood" locks. 15 gal Fuel cell "in the trunk" with connected return line. Trunk floor pan cut, reinforced and gasketed for proper seating. Deck lid must be removed to refuel.
