Vehicle in very good condition. From my inspection it could use the fuel pump/sending unit installed (surges when warm and in Drive), drivers side edges of front windshield gasket is a little chewed up but there are no leaks anywhere in the vehicle, trunk is dynomatted but does not have carpet, passenger rear window does not move (have a regulator to fix issue and will come with the car), windshield wiper spray nozzle on the passenger side is disconnected but still sprays the windshield, ABS light goes on and off from the tuner forgetting to program out ABS due to the 3.73 gears, some minor hail dimpling on the hood and trunk that should be a quick paintless dent repair (or dry ice repair). Exceptional LOW MILEAGE (53 487 miles) 1996 Chevrolet Impala SS—the last and most desirable year of the 7th generation Impala! This ’96 Impala SS was the closing year of the Impala Super Sport and it was the sole model having analog gauges rather than digital and a floor-mounted shifter in the center console linked to refined 4-speed automatic transmission. This example of a ‘96 Impala is super clean. It runs and drives great. It is fully loaded with no known issues. The only items replaced have been a seal on the cable going into the transmission and the windshield washer pump – both were replaced using NOS parts. Note on the tires: they are believed to be original, so they may need replacing although the car is currently driveable with them on. Dark cherry metallic exterior and SS embroidered grey perforated leather seats are in excellent condition. No rips, tears or blemishes on seats and the carpet is mint all around. Title is reconstructed this car still runs and drives but I believe it may be low on transmission fluid or may need a transmission soon it started slipping on me it has a slight leak. Car has a oil leak too. The check engine light and abs light are on with 2 other dash lights on. This car will definitely need work so just know you will have to put money in this car. You are looking at a 1964 Impala SS, this is a real Super Sport. I am selling this car for my younger brother who can no longer drive. My brother is a brain cancer survivor & it breaks his heart to sell this car. My brother has owned this car for over twenty five years. The Impala is an original Calif. car & still has it's black plates. The car is a pearl white with black interior. I have not seen the car in over ten years but will do my best to describe it. The car is powered by a rebuilt 350 from a 1976 Monte Carlo it has an automatic transmission with power steering. There is an aftermarket stereo cassette in the dash. This car has not ran for about ten years, was running well & driving well when parked. The body will need work as the passenger fender has bondo that is cracked as well as an area on the lower right quarter panel. There may be a few other minor dings ect. There is no rot, just a little top rust from sitting. The car has been covered & will come with the cover. The interior still looks to be nice with a clean dash. I believe the car will run with very little work, clean the gas tank & check the brakes. I am told the keys are missing, the ignition switch is easily replaced. The floors are excellent rust free.The 327 runs good and the car drives good it is the original 327 275 horsepower engine with camel hump heads 1966 Rochester quadrajet carburetor and the engine is stamped as a HAR motor late 1965. It is an original manual 4 speed. Will need a little to be perfect. This car can very well be worth more than what is asking and you know that it's better to pay that for a desirable impala especially with that nice combo of colors being also that its a factory 4 speed with a nice console and forgot to mention the factory tachometer works as well as horn all lights inside courtesy, and heater also. Right now it needs a wiper motor and if you have to have it almost perfect I would rechrome the rear bumper but it shows nice still. LOOK at the pictures up close this car actually looks the same in person it is beautiful and whoever gets it will surely will be happy. I have more pictures available. So some tinkering with it to let you complete this very nice impala. These muscle impalas are climbing in price due to there rareness not to mention other muscle cars and classics on the market for twice as much money. This is ready for enjoying it and putting the finishing touches on it it can use some front end refreshing such as ball joints and tie rods but only the rubber is worn although this impala drives straight for and does not pull to sides. 1969 SS 427 (Z-24) Impala Custom 2 door hardtop For the discriminating enthusiast, If you are looking for something unique and rare and not at every cruise or car show you have attended, this is it. This vehicle is a real 1969 SS 427 numbers matching (Z-24 option code) Impala Custom. It was also one of the featured cars seen in the December 2014 issue of Super Chevy Magazine on page 32. This car was ordered new by my father and passed on to me in 1971. The G.M. 8" rallye wheels were installed on the car and the car was also undercoated before leaving the dealership, both items were done at a cost of $227.56, It still has all original GM sheet metal. Only 2,455 of these cars were ever produced. There are no exact numbers from GM on how many of these cars were ordered and built with a front bench seat. I have been told less than 122.The car currently has 57,021 original miles and only 1,421 miles since a complete frame off restoration. Over 1,430 hours & $42,000 in parts and materials were invested in the rebuild. It is probably the nicest documented 1969 SS 427 Impala Custom Coupe on the planet. The vehicle was completely disassembled, and stripped using razor blades, all parts were metal prepped and epoxy primed, then sealed with DP-90 and shot with 4 coats of PPG single stage black urethane then color sanded and buffed to a flawless finish (note: all of the paint finishes i.e. gloss, or satin or flat were put back as they came from the factory) . All of the original chrome trim, bumpers and guards were re-plated by Advance plating in Nashville Tennessee. All of the stainless was also polished. The car has power steering, power front disc brakes, Factory original Air conditioning with new A-6 compressor and hoses converted to 134 Freon, cools down to 38 degrees, front bench seat, CB code turbo 400 transmission, GM code 12 bolt with G80 code 273 positraction rear end with F-41 suspension including 4 new Eaton heavy duty F-41 coil springs , am fm radio, and code U73 Stainless steel 1 piece rear antennae, tilt column, sport grip steering wheel, new G.M. under hood and trunk lid lights, New under hood insulator with the original G.M. metal square clips, new Coker red ring radials, It also has the original Goodyear red ring bias ply spare tire in the trunk, (the G.M. tilt column, sport grip steering wheel and am/fm radio were added during the restoration process) The tilt column was completely rebuilt before installation. The original standard steering column and original key goes with the sale.During the rebuild the Original Heavy duty Harrison radiator was re-cored, the vehicle has the factory heavy duty alternator which was rebuilt to factory spec's, The car was ordered with front and rear factory bumper guards, the original front and rear factory floor mats are still in the car, it has the D 34 optional visor vanity mirror, a 1 of a kind custom in dash Tach was built and installed. (in the same hole the factory clock would go in) I also have the original clock and a new nos GM electric clock that is included, the car has a new windshield and back glass all of the glass is the original date code tinted glass except the windsheild., the new exhaust system has clamped (not welded) aluminized pipes with walker original mufflers. This car also has Factory seat belts and shoulder harnesses.The engine work was completed by Greg Walker with Walker Custom Engine Performance. The numbers matching LI code 427 390 horse engine is still standard bore. It was completely rebuilt with new piston rings, cam and crank bearings. The crank was also polished, a new correct lift and duration stock hydraulic cam and lifters was installed along with a new Melling high volume oil pump, new brass freeze plugs were installed in the block, the original numbers matching heads were rebuilt using hardened seats (for today’s non leaded gas), and bronze guides for durability. The stock rocker arms were replaced with roller tip long slot rocker's from Comp cams. A three angle valve job was also completed during the head rebuild process, The original type GM 4 piece oil pan gasket was replaced with a Felpro 1 piece rubber gasket. Currently it has a set of Hooker ceramic coated headers. I put a 1967 L-68 Corvette 400 horsepower high rise oval port tri-power intake and carb set up on this car in 1971 (The GM 427 tri power intake set up was produced for Corvette only and only for 3 years total. The one on this car was the very first year of production. This particular 1967 intake style (oval port high Rise) was only produced for the first year by GM in 1967 and is very rare, the 68 and 69 versions, whether they were 400 horse oval port or the rectangular port 435 horse were low rise intake units made by GM for hood clearance because of the Corvette body change and hood design in 68 and 69) . The carb’s, linkage and all fuel lines, fittings etc are brand new . I also have the original intake and a big block 390 horse Quadrajet carb, Since the complete rebuild only non-ethanol gas has been put in the car.The correct factory exhaust manifolds and new hardware to put the engine back completely original are included with the sale. The original distributor has a petronix electronic module with matching black coil and date coded original type black Packard ignition wires. The fan clutch and 7 blade fan blade are all date code correct. All of the suspension componets were rebuilt to original specs, All new fuel lines, gas tank, sending unit, brakes and brake lines, the car has a new set of G. M. N.O.S. 2 piece disc rotors on the front. The original G-80 12 bolt rear end was completely disassembled and rebuilt with all new bearings, seals, and posi-traction GM clutch pack. The original GM 273 ratio ring gear and pinion with new crush sleeve was re-installed and set up to factory specs. The interior was also restored as needed, with a new air conditioning dash pad, new front and back seat covers, (I have the original seat covers also) Dynamat sound deadener was installed over the entire floor and behind the rear seat back area. Then new original type GM tar paper floor insulation was installed along with the new jute and new carpet.. Riding in this car is as quite as a factory new Impala. A custom made (indoor only) ultra soft California car cover is included in this sale. I also have additional current photos as of 8-11-2016 should you need them sent to you. I have the original build sheet, a protect o plate, copy of window sticker. This is an original southern car, ordered at Nalley Chevrolet in Atlanta and built in Doraville Georgia. My older brother who was a painter for GM painted the car at the Doraville plant when it was originally being built. All of the restoration work was documented from start to finish.
