This car has been garage kept day and night since new and it shows. The original tires still have 90% tread left. It is a top of the line LTZ with every available option including sunroof. It has 300 horsepower and a really handy rear seat that flips up and down. The car just had its third oil change with mobile one synthetic and an oem filter. The reason it has a rebuilt title is that it took in about 6 inches of rain water in a parking lot. The car has been professionally restored to like new condition. It was taken apart, cleaned, and repaired before any odor developed. The only thing you will smell is the new car smell which it very much still has. Everything that was damaged was replaced with new oem parts from the Chevrolet dealership. This included the passenger kick panel fuse block, the power seat switches, the seat heating elements, and the seat heating module. I have receipts, pictures, and the old parts. I have included pictures of the car as it is now, during the repairs, and in the water. One picture clearly shows that the water only rose about 2 1/2 inches above the bottom edge of the doors. The engine and transmission were completely unaffected. There is nothing to hide here; this is simply a like new vehicle that someone is going to get a great deal on due to an insurance company's cautiousness. The car was professionally appraised at $15,646 after the repairs and a copy of the appraisal will be included with the sale. This appraisal amount includes a deduction for the title status. Also included are the maintenance records since new, both original keys and remotes with remote start, and the original window sticker. After completing the repairs my family and I took the car on a 2000 mile road trip and it performed flawlessly, averaging 30 mpg. About a month later I made the same trip by myself and the car averaged 33 mpg with the lighter load. During my ownership of the car I took advantage of a free 3 month trial of OnStar and as a result received a diagnostics report showing that all systems are functioning properly. On Sep-24-14 at 18:13:47 PDT, seller added the following information: I purchased this car from the original owner, my neighbor, and restored it myself. I have been an ASE certified Master Automobile Technician for twenty years. I put this car back together to be as good or better than new. Everything that the water touched was thoroughly inspected and cleaned or replaced, as needed. When reinstalling the interior I corrected several quality control issues. Most notably, several sections of wiring were routed questionably and a few of the plastic interior panels did not fit properly so I reshaped them by hand with careful use of a heat gun. So, in a few ways this car is better than it was when brand new. On Sep-24-14 at 20:49:54 PDT, seller added the following information: When I purchased this car it had a salvage title. Due to hurricane Katrina, Louisiana has very strict guidelines that must be met before a water damaged car is changed from salvage to reconstructed. This car met those requirements easily due to the minor nature of the damage and the thoroughness of the repairs. This title status means that the state has deemed the car roadworthy and safe. It also enabled me to obtain full coverage insurance.
