This is a 1964 Impala Super Sport hardtop that has not been totally restored. It is a rust free original Texas car as far as I can tell. It was repainted a few years ago base/clear. It is equipped with power steering, power brakes, factory tilt steering column, positraction, factory tach, under hood lamp, trunk lamp, 2 speed wipers, day/night ISRM, and dual outside mirrors. All weatherstrippng, carpet, shocks, rear springs, brakes, factory exhaust, and other parts that deteriorate with age have been replaced. New radial tires and windshield have been installed. I installed a N O S AM push button radio because an aftermarket radio had been installed at some time. It does not have the original block. It looks like a 327/300 hp engine with a turbo 350 tranny with a shift kit. It has Pertronix ignition and flame thrower coil. Carb is a newer Edelbrock AFB with an electric choke. It starts instantly and drive smoothly. THIS IS A VERY FAST CAR IN MY OPINION. I was told by the previous owner that the engine was rebuilt 5000 miles ago. I do not know what was done to this engine but it was built to race with a shift kit and a factory posi rear. I think it is a 3:55 rear but I'm not positive. It is a fairly rare color combo with a very straight body. Paint is excellent but there are a couple flaws that have been touched up. This is a beautiful car that looks almost showroom condition but not a trailer queen. I can see no signs of any panels that have been replaced. A body shop told me it appears that no accident repair can be detected. This is a very nice family car that you could have some fun with because of the horsepower, tranny, and posi-rear. This is a frame off restored 1960 Impala convertible with a 348 engine with a tripower carb setup and a 350 turbo automatic transmission. It is equipped with power steering, power top, hazard flasher, tissue dispenser, dual rear antennas, dual outside mirrors, N O S wheel covers with spinners, rocker panel mouldings, fender skirts with scuff pads, front seat belts with roll ups, and day/night ISRM, Original tuxedo black exterior (base/clear) and complete red interior are new. Convertible top is new along with pump/motor, cylinders, and lines. A new red convertible top boot is also included. All wiring, fuel system, suspension, and exhaust system are new. Body is very straight with a new PPG base/clear paint job. Trim is restored or rechromed with new emblems. Engine is rebuilt with less than 1000 miles. This is virtually a showroom car with 800 miles since completion. It is probably the most popular color combination (paint code 900) (trim 874). Call me (Ron) with any questions. 717-965-4724.
