1964 Chevrolet Impala 2 DR California Sport Coupe manufactured in Southgate California. 1964 is the only year the impala was manufactured in California. The vin break down 4=1964, 18=V8, 47=Sport Coupe, U=S, so car is a true California Sport Coupe. The car is an original air conditioning car (not working). No rust, original floors and trunk in perfect shape. Much of stainless is new, all emblems are new. I have matching fender skirts for the car. I rescued the car from being scrapped; it was taken apart painted over ten years ago. I purchased it as a basket case. The paint still looks good but does have a few chips. It runs and drives great, rebuilt motor, converted to a T350 transmission (rebuilt). The power steering converted to a Saginaw. Rebuilt small block, and T350 new drive shaft, it has a 3:36 rear end that was gone through. The car has less than 100 miles since it was rebuilt. It has a new Power steering pump, new distributor points and wires, chrome 1 wire alternator, new gas tank, radiator, radiator hoses, battery. Brakes have been done, new master cylinder. Complete new interior, headliner, seats, door panels and carpet. Dash pad not perfect, seat belts, I have original radio not installed. Chevrolet Rally Wheels and tires, byer has choice of disk brake, police or plain center caps. Overall it runs and drives out great, not a show car, just a very nice driver.
