1970 El Camino SS. 4 speed. Bucket seats and console shift. The engine is a factory warranty replacement block. No serial numbers to match the production numbers on the VIN . But the codes are correct. L34 350HP T1004CTX. The trans is a 4 speed muncie POM14B. Which is the 2.20:1 close ratio. It does have the matching numbers. Hurst shifter that needs to be rebuilt. Sometimes it will bind up. The 396 is built right and a very powerful engine. I'm not sure what was done to it before i bought the car in 2009. HEI ignition and long tube headers. The pictures show the rust in the car. The front fenders have the lowers rusted thru which is normal on these cars of course. Rust thru in some places in the bed as well. 12 bolt rear end. I don't have any papers or build sheets for this car but there is no doubt in my mind that it is a real Super Sport. Cowl Induction hood but missing the components under the hood. Flapper door is there. It codes out as a silver with bue vinyl top. She looks rough but runs great. power disk brakes, power steering. Front wheels are 17 x 225 Rear wheels 18 x 255The following parts i replaced since i have owned it : Brand new holley 750 carb electric choke dual feed.starterpower steering pumpred top optima batteryplugs and wiresbrake lines front to rearfuel linefuel tank3 point seat beltsdyno mat and carpetsteering wheelamerican racing wheels although the tires are starting crack from age.door panelstach meter This car does have a good bit of rust. It's 45 years old. The bed supports are rusted thru above the rear axle. It has started to smoke some since i replaced the carb. I think it may just need to be adjusted. It is a great car to drive and have fun in as is or else she is ready to hit the body shop and become a stunner! I do have the original ss wheels for it too.They need to be refinished.
