Please note prior to reading ad I will ONLY accept wire transfer or cash, period. Encourage one to come look at it....if you dont like it youre not obligated to pay. I will not sell the car though then "take it back later for whatever reason", please know this is 100% what you want. Ive owned this one for many many yrs Took it apart in 99 been running for 3 yrs. Ive put 200 mi on it The entire car was done my myself save for paint, some interior and minor details. Blasted, paint assy etc I know every nut and bolt on it. There are 25k caminos out there that look great..nice paint interior a blinged crate motor the typical hot rod; the 60k caminos are too nice to drive. This is somewhere in the middle. Put some steelies on it some large case turbos you have the sleeper from hell Intentionally built to look plain vanilla...stockish restored on the inside/out. The real stuff is what you cant see under the car and hood & overall construction Nut and bolt frame off everything blasted POR-15 from the frame to the sail panels inside On the interior, M and H wiring front to rear every piece of hardware on car new/upgraded. -All new "green glass" which this car originally came with -Lots of grade 8 cad and stainless -I have the ac control panel, tach is mounted temporarily;have all emblems ps mirror etc in a box never decided if I wanted them -SS gauge kit, speedo was taken apart and modded so backlighting is bright bluish aqua;never bough the elec to mech converter as these speedos never are accurate;the tach is. -Left the hole in the firewall from the orig AC and extended it some (could put a repop smokey yunick style cold air box....or seal to hood another decision- I could write a book on whats been done but youd fall asleep before finishing the ad...It was built (hopefully!) to never rust, be turn key reliable stop handle and have plain brutal acceleration. All steel body lightened as much as possible. Car is laser straight, orginal colors were updated to pop more. Rides firm and stays flat but not stiff, solid;very stable cruising at 100+ (double OD is great) Drilled front discs, stainless hard/braided lines rear drums. Doesnt need rear disc it locks them up fine if you want 12:1 ps box large sway bars hotchkiss KYB etc. I have drag shocks if thats your thing; dont care for them on the street. At one time I had 8s on the front and it would go around a corner pretty flat but with the way the power comes on and corners my lifespan would be longer with skinnies up front. Its like a big driving a big 2 stroke Hood is made from a genuine 1969 Camaro Z/28 NOT a repop, very cool piece Somewhere an Fbody purist is crying 385 Stroker solid roller 230cc heads by Mamo Jesel, Manley rods etc etc. Not a cheap ebay motor build extensive amount of $ and machining. I have not dynoed, beat on or tracked the car so no #. It will operate power brakes (using a hidden canister) and scream up past 7k doesnt foul plugs. In fact Ive never done a burnout donut or touched the rev limiiter since Ive owned it, just basically getting some miles and checking for bugs. Tires and wheels have less than 50 mi on them same with trans (Hasnt even really been "enjoyed"). Its well cared for. (What Im saying is you arent at risk buying something driven hard and put away wet). The acc drive is the rear thing not the racer look alike stuff from China you wont blow up alt/ps bearings if youre spinning it up high. 80/120a alt by Chris Jones If youre interested I can provide you with all engine specs flow sheet cam card (ground to my personal specs). Nothing in the engine (new block too) hasnt been machinied ported relieved etc. Its a beast, has a radical idle, sounds cantankerous still lopey well over 2k but surprisingly driveable that was the goal. No heating issues . Is it a DD or something to putt around in traffic with stock manners forget it Interior 100% new down the ea screw and switch. Youll find 0 rust anywhere never had it in the first place Originally the car had buckets, PS PDB AC air shocks 327. Had a T350 when i bought it at one point it had a 4 spd so orig?Dont know what trans it came with. Still have the orig seat covers in a bag I did a T56 conversion (now a stage 2 with hardened parts; 50 mi on it) many yrs ago, centerforce DF clutch F body hyd clutch and McCleod scattershield. Its awesome even with a 4.11 gear Original 12 bolt, eaton posi Superior axles tubes welded SSM bars girlde, frame stiffeneing added etc etc Poly motor mounts, rubber trans mounts susp is 100% polygraphite. Polished stainless lines everywhere, 1/2" from sender to AED 850. Dewitts, spal fan hi flow pump never gets hot Dist by Bob Jennings custom built AED 850 many hrs spent porting the Team G 3" Torque tech exh w/X, Ultraflows out to the back bumper. Exhaust note is pure sex at WOT It drives/rides as solid and quiet (except for exh) as a newer car. Very little left (or "needs") I wanted to do except add the trim and woodgrain on tailgate which I have new and some misc stuff;perhaps get rid of the mickeys up front, if the car sits a lot they will flat spot til you drive it out...minor stuff. Its still an "old car" even with all new weatherstrips/windlow lace youll get some windnoise just the way these are. I have over 92k in this car...appraised for $65k (whoopee). I will sell the car for 40k firm. Please, no offers , haggling trading. If you gotta ask the wife or wait for your money to come in well... (just tryin to weed out some tire kickers guys)or amateur test drivers. You could eat off the underside of this also....blasted smooth and in gloss por-15 I went as far as I could afford on everything as I never planned selling it. I want a house, so you know the sad song- This car is a ton of fun to drive (which I never have time for unfortunately) With 34 deg tiiming you can run 91 pump....I prefer 36 a little good gas it really wakes up. Car is safe solid and awfully quick, its not a toy for a young kid. Has drag radials on it full time for a reason;street tires will get you hurt in a car like this. Very controllable and easy to drive with the hyd clutch Any ? please inquire..... please save "offers" for the fire sales out there No test drives without PROOF of funds, no exceptions. I urge you to bring an exeperienced wrench with you to look the car over so you know you arent buying a pile of problems or something unsafe. Spend some time under it, look around check out the details. If youve been around this stuff for awhile youll know what to look for. And yes you just may find a flaw or two every car has em.
