1974 Chevy Corvette 4sp. manual. 81,900 Miles. This is a very nice driver. It is in pretty good condition. If you want a Bloomington Gold winner, move on. If you want a nice 4 speed Corvette you can drive to some shows and actually feel good about opening up the hood, take a good look at this one. The engine and bay is in very good condition and looks great. This was a repossession. The gentleman that owned this passed away. I honestly don't know a lot about this car. I don't think he owned it all that long. The car has been resprayed at some point. The paint looks good. There are some touch ups done on top of the front fenders. The windshield has been scratched by the wipers. Not that bad. Doesn't affect sight. The pop up lights are not working. All other lights and turn signals work. The power steering whines a bit. It may just be low on fluid. I will check it out. Now, onto the good..... This car runs, shifts, drives, and stops great. It sounds really good with the side pipes. I know they aren't for everyone, but they look really good on this car. Front and rear spoilers have been added. Rally wheels are in great shape and the tires are in pretty new condition. The interior is in great condition. Seats show very little wear. Gauges aren't foggy. Dash looks good. You can tell by the interior that this car was really taken care of and stored properly. The owner had it in his garage and it is stored inside with me. I really believe this car has a little over 80,000 original miles. Car will come with a clear Indiana title. Its been family owned past 9 years. Previous owner had a 375hp crate engine and a new turbo 350 transmission installed. They have roughly 15000 miles on the engine and transmission. I am not positive if the odometer is correct but i believe there is 71000 miles on the body. The engine makes the car a lot more fun to drive then a stock 81 corvette with 195hp. It has true dual exhaust with flowmaster mufflers and hedman headers. There is no pollution control or catalytic converter. The paint is a good quality driver paint with a few scratches and chips. The interior is stock and shows its age with its wear. The leather seats are in excellent shape. The drivers armrest has a crack in it and long with a crack in the plastic screw mount. I removed it so it wouldn't get further damaged and will come with the car. There is some staining on the carpet and a few minor stains on the drivers door panel. The storage compartments lids hinges are broke. The car has power locks(currently do not work), power windows, power drivers seat(the plastic seat control mount is loose), tilt and telescoping steering wheel, cruise control(which did not get hooked up when engine was switched), aftermarket cassette radio, A/C which wasn't hooked up after engine swap, and automatic transmission. The radio works and still gets reception but the antenna is has been broken therefore I couldn't tell you if the static is in the reception or speakers but i do know the speakers in the car are old and could probably stand some updating. It has mirrored glass T-tops that are in good shape with no cracks or chips. There is nothing like cruising with the t-tops off in a corvette. It has the corvette aluminum rims on BF Goodrich 245 60R15s that have a lot tread left on them. I have the orginal spare tire and holder that will be included with the car but they are not mounted underneath the car. The corvette has cross drilled and slotted rotors with good pads giving the corvette excellent stopping power. The tip of the ignition key is broken off in the ignition, but the car starts fine with the broken key. The car drives well and handles well. It is a very fun car to drive and cruise around in. It is a head turner where ever you go. This is a car that is ready to drive and enjoy. I am currently moving and looking to sell the car to use the money towards the new house. The car is sold as is with buyer responsible for shipping or pick up. There is no warranty stated or implied. The title is free and clear and in hand. I have owned the car for 20 years and have extensive documentation and receipts This includes previous owners information to include copies of titles, work completed and much more. The car is an excellent driver and can be shown at any Corvette meet. The car is currently Riverside Red but the original color is a very Rare Daytona Blue with red interior. There are many original parts to include the AM-FM push button radio, chrome air cleaner, Carter AFB, alternator ,master cylinder, distributor, radiator, 4.11:1 positraction rear axle which has been rebuilt, seat belts, jack, rims, hubcaps and much more. Rebuilt front/rear suspension, newer front/rear brakes and the brake lines have been replaced with stainless. Previous owner information shows engine rebuild completed around 90,000 miles prior to myself owning the car. The interior is a newer reproduction, seats, panels, carpets etc. All door sill moldings, dash, gauges, console, shifter and door panels look as new. The frame and chassis are clean (no rust or rot). The car is in excellent overall condition. All glass, stainless trim, chrome and die cast parts are in excellent condition. With the exception of the color change everything is very original and correct. I also have the original seat covers and carpet if wanted.
