This is a well maintained car. Oil is changed frequently only using Mobil 1 5/30. Never abused, driven lightly, runs well and is powerful. It was only used in the in the spring to fall seasons. The car is all original. The only major thing the car needs is tires. The current ones are 8 years old and are cracking on the sides. The belt and battery are new. There is some touch up paint on the passenger side edge mirror, rear bottom bumper corner, and bottom of front passenger side fender. This is the way we got the car from the dealer. There are some scratches on the front bottom bumper as well. You must be under the car to see them. We bought it used in 2003 with very low miles. Everything in the car works. The drivers side seat does have wear spot along the edge of the seat from getting in and out. Sometimes the seat will shift a little with braking. It always did this I am not sure why. All bolts are tight. There is a scratch on top of the center console and the passenger side seat. To the best of my knowledge that is all that is wrong with the car. The car sits most of the time and we think its time for someone else to enjoy it. This is my wife's car, she enjoyed it for many years. We accept cash or bankers cashier check. We will not release the car or the title until the check clears. Features include removable top, power brakes, windows, locks, steering, a/c, cruise control, and two key fobs. This is indeed a rare find. I have had it inspected by a professional mechanic and received an A+. Everything but the radio works as it should. The low miles are real. This vehicle had one owner until about 2012 who drove it little, but maintained it on a regular basis. The ride is firm and powerful. The engine fires quickly and reliably. The AC is cold. It is equipped with PS and PB. The dark brown metallic (stock) finish is free of any cracks or chips, and shines like a mirror. The glass is perfect. I replaced the carpeting with a new dark brown Corvette set, and the door weather stripping. The tires have been replaced, and have about 200 miles on them. Never in an accident, and all body panels fit tightly.I prefer to communicate through ebay, and will answer any questions to the best of my knowledge. I have a 79 Corvette for sale that I have owned for over 18 years. The Vette is in good driver's condition meaning it drives well and at the same time can use a little TLC such as carpet, weatherstripping, a/c (needs charge or compressor). Its always been garaged but it's time to sell it due to new projects are in the works. It is in original condition with no aftermarket parts and retains it's original style look with zero modifications. The paint could be refreshed as it was painted the original color a few years to my purchasing the vehicle so it was never clearcoated and over the years of me polishing it the paint seems to be thin in areas and there are some small spots that need to be fixed but nothing too major. I was in the Auto Body Repair industry for over 20 yrs. but I have other interests to pursue and would like for someone to enjoy and drive this classic 79 Corvette. Hood is not closed all the way so just in case someone is worried about the hod gap or closing, it's not closed all the way is all. There is new weather stripping in the car around the doors and in the t-tops replaced. all less than a year old. The carpet is new and also less than a year old. Paint is less than a year old but not a perfect paint job, driver quality that shines and looks good but is not a barret jackson show car.Body is straight with no stress cracks in the fiber glass. no damage or accidents to my knowledge. I had new rotors, calipers, and pads also put on it. Mechanically this car is great and runs and drives great like it should. Car is not a perfect show car but a cruiser, you may want to fix some minor odds and ends here and there but you can drive it and enjoy it while you do it. the headlights do not go up (i did not investigate why but suspect that its just the vacuum line). very nice car and very affordable for the money. i outgrew my vette addiction and am looking to pass the car on to someone else to enjoy.
