What happens if I arrive at the facility and I see that the vehicle is missing parts, its totally not what it seemed to be in the images, it was tampered with, keys are missing etc.? What should I do? You should immediately contact our offices, speak to a supervisor, then make sure you point out serious damage to a Yard manager. As far as keys are concerned, neither do the auctions nor do we guarantee keys. Whatever you do, do not pull that vehicle out of the facility if it is not what you want there is not returning it, you own it once it is out of the gate. We can only help you resell it with reserve prices at auctions to come the following weeks at the same facility through our licensed and bonded broker accounts. Is it worth buying salvage repairable vehicles with all these headaches and possible pitfalls? The answer is yes, the salvage industry is a billion dollar industry. People around the world purchase vehicles to rebuild, each person, country, and vehicle is different. Some countries the labor is cheaper so they can pay more, here in the United States certain states have higher labor costs than others. Certain states have stricter rebuilt title laws than others, some states register parts only vehicles when others do not. There is no rhyme or reasoning why a vehicle with light damage has a salvage title and a vehicle with serious damage has a clean title. Over the years we have learned to accept what the insurance companies offer in particular states, what makes sense in one state, does not work in another. You need to understand the process, your state laws, research the cost of parts and labor, then make your decision. Yes, the photos are provided to us by the holding facility of the actual vehicle using a digital camera. Our photos are NEVER photo shopped. Please feel free to present our images to a local repair shop to obtain fair and reasonable repair estimates. WHAT YOU SEE IS WHAT YOU GET! 3. Where is the vehicle? Vehicles are stored nationwide at holding facilities and insurance auctions that store and/or resell vehicles for the insurance companies through Buy Now, live auctions, online auctions, sealed bid auctions, pure sale auctions and reserve bid auctions. 4. How long will it take to get my title? Typically, titles take about 10 to 15 business days to be mailed after the vehicle has been released. Our title department processes titles weekly. Gate releases may take 5 to 10 business days to acquire prior to picking up any vehicle from the holding facility.
