1968 Chevrolet Chevelle 2-Door Coupe First, let me say why am I selling this car. I have always done restorations and most were for customers (Professional athletes, Executives, and Car Enthusiasts). My wife searched for an found this 68 Chevelle and wanted it done up as a Pro-Street car for her and I to take to car shows together. She picked the color and I did the rest. In the end, no detail was left undone and no expense spared. However, now that she is in her 5th year on Dialysis she can no longer do the car shows as she cannot be out in the summer heat all day long and she cannot help me with the car. Anyone who has done car shows knows that they are long, hot, and very hard days for that $12 trophy you get when it is all said and done. Because of this and the fact that this car has only seen the sunlight twice in 2 years (both shows we won Best of Show, Best Paint, Best Engine, and People's Choice), we needed to make a decision on what to do, sell it or let it sit more years in the garage? The time has come to sell the car and it is like a child to us, so this is not easy, but it is the right thing to do to put this car in the hands of someone who can really enjoy it. We would love nothing more that for the car to be out, be seen, and win more awards regardless of who now owns it. It will always be our pride and joy.Original factory production took place at the Atlanta Georgia General Motors Assembly Plant in November of 1967. The car was purchased in 2009 from the original owner and was found in a field sitting on blocks at the time of purchase (paid $600). Currently, the car has undergone a full, meticulous Pro-Street Restoration totaling more than $120,000+ with all receipts and very well documented photo album and timeline. This car comes with the following specifications: All New Body Panels and Glass, aside from part of the frame and the core body shell, everything is brand new on this car and no expense was spared. The only original part of the car that was used was the core body shell and the front 1/3 of the frame rails, everything else was replaced new or custom fabricated. The paint is 5 coats of Chrome Yellow w/White SS style striping and the strip lines cannot be felt. paint and body are absolutely perfect!! The chassis is semi-custom frame, meaning that the front 1/3 is a factory frame and the back 2/3 of the frame was fabricated. The front uses custom tubular A-Arms & Springs, fabricated sway bar, quick ratio power steering gear box, and factory style steering components. The rear suspension is a custom 4-Link suspension system with coil-over race shocks, a narrowed 35 spline 9" Ford rear housing, Mark Williams gear set w/4:88 ratio, Moser custom axles, and Positive Traction differential. Wheels are Weld Wheel Billet aluminum wheels with Goodyear tires. Engine is a Gen VI 10.2 Deck 582 Big Block Chevrolet (Modified 720R motor). This engine has been modified to accept boost levels up to 24+ PSI. Block is a GM Performance Race block & has Steel Billet splayed main caps, Callies Pro-Magnum Crankshaft, Oliver Steel Billet Rods, JE Gas Ported Nitrous Pistons, Tool Steel Rings & Wrist Pins, Callies Coated Bearings, Comp Cams custom grind Supercharger Mechanical Roller Camshaft, Reher-Morrisson Race Prepped Cylinder Heads w/Full CNC porting, Intake port matched & CNC machined, Pro-Fogger 300HP Direct Port Nitrous Oxide system, AED Tuned "flow-thru" Holley HP Race Series 1150 CFM carburetor, all MSD ignition controls, 2.25" Ceramic Coated & Fully Tuned exhaust headers. Full MSD ignition and ignition controller and adjustable boost controller. Far too many extras to list. The engine also has a set of "Fully Custom hand made" Vortech YSI-7 RACE trim superchargers capable of producing more than 24+ PSI per charger. I made two trips out to Vortech Engineering to get these superchargers made and designed to meet my needs. The drivers side charger is easy, but the passenger side charger had to have a custom oiling system and oil return created which was done in house by Vortech. These superchargers are oil pressure feed from the engine and then have filtered oil returns to the block (The setup, mounting plates, induction tubes, feed tubes, oiling system, drive system, and top hat are all custom handmade CNC pieces for this car). This setup is currently using twin Vortech Race Series blow-off valves & is producing 16 PSI boost @6250 RPM. The engine is controlled by MSD Ignition timing & boost controllers to ensure optimal timing vs. boost. The car has made 7 chassis dyno runs, producing 1320 RWHP on 16 PSI of boost & Zero Nitrous. The engine is capable of sustaining a higher amount of Boost to produce an estimated 1750 Crankshaft Horsepower. The driveline is a JW Transmission Billet Race Series Turbo 400, Manual Valve Body, Trans-Brake, & a 3700 RPM JW stall converter. The driveshaft is an all aluminum 5" custom shaft with 4340 billet yokes. The rear End is a 35 spline 9" Ford rear housing, Mark Williams gear set w/4:88 ratio, Moser custom axles, and Positive Traction differential. The fuel system uses twin Magna Flow Pro-Series fuel pumps, canister filters, Magna Flow regulators, 20 gallon billet aluminum foam filled fuel cell, & all air-craft quality AN Fittings from front to rear. The are twin Opitma batteries in the trunk with a custom Billet aluminum battery tray, the car has a master cut off switch inside the car, custom NOS bottle bracket and electric remote bottle opener. The Engine fuel system and the NOS fuel system are completely separate and run independent of each other with safety measure taken to prevent ANY problems with fuel and NOS delivery. The car has a custom 10-point chrome moly roll cage, Simpson 5-point cam-lock harnesses, Carrillo Seats, TCI shifter, & Custom hand built dash/gauge assembly with Auto-Meter Pro gauges. However, the car utilizes the factory dash pad, pillar posts, door panels, head liner, mirrors, & many other factory parts to keep the feel of the original 68 Chevelle and are all brand new. This car is only taken to "2" car shows per year and has won an average of 4 awards per show. The car is climate control garage kept, never been driven over 2 miles at one time (extended chassis dyno time not counted), has never been wet (not even washed.....ever!!) and is routinely started with a warm up period. Fuel and Engine Oil is maintained every 4-5 months to keep everything fresh. This car is a Pro Street car and could easily become a driver with the addition of an intercooler system to cool the superchargers and street approved tires. All lights and electrical work and with the right set of tires know one would know what was under the hood of this amazing car. The interior is all high end custom, the under carriage power coated or painted depending on the item, but is clean enough to eat off of. Again, too many things to list on this car. The braking system is complete WilWood Brake, Drilled and Slotted Rotors, Powder Coated Calipers, AN Brake Lines, custom Spindles, Dual Diaphragm brake booster with $500 electric vacuum pump for brakes which is sensor controlled. Billet Aluminum master cylinder, Fesler Billet Hood Hinges, Custom 6 Layer fiberglass hood (had it custom made and paid dearly for it). 1967 Chevelle I am selling a refurbished/modified (1967 Chevelle SS Clone). It has a 1971 Chevy 350 small block, bored .30 over making it a 355. The engine when rebuilt has Camel back heads out of a 1968 327 Chevy. The compression ratio is 10.5 to 1 with flat top 194 pistons, plus hydraulic lifters and double springs on the valves, plus a TRW-470 lift com cam. The engine rebuild was done professionally at a local engine speed shop 340hp. Engine has approximately 500 miles on it. The odometer shows 89,000 miles. Edelbrock high rise aluminum intake manifold. Holley 750 four barrel double pump carburetor. Doug headers. 3 in exhaust pipe with Flowmaster mufflers. New Crager SS wheels. Front wheels are 7 in. wide with 235/60R/15 tires. Rear wheels are 8 in. wide with 275/60R/15 tires. 10 bolt rear end with 3.08 gears. Front and rear coil springs are SS. Fiberglass SS hood with new chrome hood louvers. SS emblems on complete car, inside and out. Color of the car is 1967 Corvette Yellow with Polyurethane paint, then wet sanded and buffed there's no imperfections and is show quality!. Transmission is an auto 3 speed 350 Turbo. A new H.E.I. Distributor. Standard steering. New brake shoes, brake drums. All new body mounts. New door jam kick plates. New SS rocker panel molding. Has a 350/350 set up. Over 400 HP. Driver quality car. Paint looks good but there is body work needed, as last owner was in a hurry to paint it and didn't complete the body work(see pictures) I am not sure if this is a number matching engine. Car runs strong. Set up for burn outs/1/4 mile. I never took it to the track, so I don't know what it will run.. Rear is a 12 bolt full time posi. Richmond 4.56 gears. Strange lightweight spool. C-clip eliminators. Moser axles. Has newer rear brakes and new brake lines as well. Edlebrock upper relocator bars and adjustable upper control arms. Interior is nice. Headliner is new. Front bench seat has new seat cover installed. Windshield is cracked. The new glass can be purchased on E-bay for $169 delivered. Crack in center of dash(see picture) I don't need to sell the car, but don't use it much other than to lay down some rubber. The frame is good. The trunk pan is good. There is a bad area inside the trunk by latch that needs attention(see picture) Has new rear shocks and 3" aluminum spring spacers to give the car a great rake. Tires are ok, but fronts need to be replaced soon-starting to dry rot. The paint is very nice, but previous owner didn't fix all the bad areas properly.(see pictures) Car will need a front end alignment and maybe a tie rod probably form the stress from burning out so much.. Hate to sell, if I don't get the right price I will keep it and take it to the next level and charge much more. Please ask any questions before you bid.
