1966 Chevelle Malibu Convertible Ragtop I purchased this earlier this year with the intentions of doing a restore on it, However due to Time constraints I think I will sell this and save up for one that has already been completed. Has New Floorpans, Runs but was loosing some transmission fluid, We dove it up on the car hauler and drove it off and parked it, Just don't have the time to work on it now.

There were not many 1972 Malibu Convertibles made according to the production numbers. This is one of only 4,853 made in 1972. This is a factory bucket seat car according to the cowl tag (A51). The previous owner told me it appeared to be a factory 4 Speed car, and it is a factory 350 car according to the serial number (H Code). This car has not been cloned into a SS Convertible, but it would not take much to Clone it or just put the top down and enjoy it the way it is. Here are some of its features:350 Engine4 Speed Transmission Power SteeringFront Disc Brakes New Power Convertible Top with glass back windowRally WheelsWhite Letter TiresNew BumpersNew Interior Kit Bucket SeatsConsoleCowl Hood Please take a look at the photos and if you have any questions, please feel free to email me or call me at 256-810-0060. This car is being sold AS-IS with no warranty either expressed or implied. You are welcome to make an appointment and look at the car before the auction ends. We are a licensed Alabama Dealer and if you are a Alabama resident and you win this auction, a two and one-half percent sales tax will be added to the winning bid. A non-refundable deposit of $1,000.00 is due within 48 hours after the auction ends, and the remaining balance is due within 7 days after the auction ends. This is a Alabama Car. Alabama does not issue titles for cars that are 35 years old and older. If you buy this car you will receive a notarized Bill of Sale, Original Tag Registration, and a reassignment supplement showing transfer of ownership. Thanks for looking at this auction.

This is an extremely nice example of a classic car, finished in original color using PPG Base /clear, 9 out of 10 paint job. New carpet and door panels, everything else is original to the car and is in good, presentable condition, I even have the original front and rear floor mats that came with the car. Engine is from a 1993 Camaro SS, with 63,???. Four speed Muncie is from a 1970 Chevelle SS (M20), the rear end is 2:73 ratio???? it is perfect for highway cruising, but has no problem laying rubber with a deep first gear. Will never overheat with electric pulling fan attached to a huge Griffin aluminum radiator, all lights and turn signals work. Front disk brakes, rear drum. Rims are from a 2007 Corvette, not cheap knock off's, these are Genuine GM, in perfect condition. Kumho tires have less than 500 miles. Power steering works flawless, power brakes work perfect. The engine currently has an A/C compressor with serpentine belt and all wiring is intact if you chose to add a/c under the dash. Jet hot ceramic coated headers with full flowmaster exhaust system, perfect exhaust note, just loud enough to let people know you've arrived. New plug wires routed on top of the valve covers to eliminate any melted wires common with LT1 engines with headers, so no problems there. Wiring harness has OBD port to allow diagnostics and shows no codes, runs in closed loop as it should. Runs and drives like a modern car. This is an extremely reliable driver, needs zero mechanically to get in and drive across country except a new convertible top, the top and all associated bows are in perfect operable order and the top opens and closes excellent. I have driven this car with my family and it has proven itself as a very reliable driver. Yes you will get lots of people who want to talk about the good old days, give you thumbs up, ask if its for sale, etc. It does need a new top, dash pad and weatherstripping. I have the original Jack and spare tire as well. Undercarriage and frame was sandblasted and painted, it is in very nice condition with zero rust! Please feel free to email me with any questions or to request additional pictures. Thanks!

1968 Chevelle Malibu Convertible - Power top - Nice Driver car! Interior:The black interior is clean and the carpet appears to be a factory style woven wool. The dash shows some wear areas and the radio does not work. Power top:It has a newer black convertible with glass rear window. It looks to be almost new and powers up and down as it should. It is clean with no rips or tears and has a glass rear window.Engine:Factory numbers matching 307ci / V-8 that has some minor modifications from factory including polished valve covers, polished Billet wire loomes, and other misc chrome. It was recently detailed, but it is not in show ready condition. Comes with a fresh tune up (Cap/Rotor/Plugs). Just had a compression test complete and results were 105-106 across all cylinders. Body:Fresh Matadore Red Paint with Black racing stripes. The paint work is nice; bright and very glossy. The black stripes are painted and blend well under the clear-coat. The body is very ( I would say 'laser', but let's be honest, I'm not a paint and body expert) straight and has only a few minor imperfections not visible on camera. The gaps in the hood area could be tighter. I can be pretty picky, so this is why I mention it. The front fenders were replaced with new metal so the hood gaps are a bit wider than factory spec. The rest of the gaps appear good. Transmission:Factory 2-Spd Hydro-matic (Auto) Transmission. Power Steering:Steers fine and tracks straight down the road. Brakes:Drum brakes stop the car as they should. They do not respond like disk brakes, but I do not believe disc were factory spec for the '68 Malibu. Trunk:The trunk is solid with no apparent rust. It is in need of a cleaning from the body shop and also needs a new trunk liner installed. Chrome: The chrome is nice but not restored. It has a couple very minor blemishes and shows minor surface wear. It is shiny and cleans up well and, in my opinion, fine for a driver car. I recently exhaust ends with nice oval tips to gave the rear end a clean nice appearance. Needs:-Weather stripping installed @ trunk, windows, etc..-Couple of grommets installed on bumpers.-Driver seat cover replaced.-Radio does not work. Parts Included:-Fresh seat cover for Driver seat - Current cover has (2) splits that are not clearly visible in photos.-New center console shift/gear indicator - current shift indicator has blemishes and is faded.-New weather stripping for trunk and top areas - not yet installed after repaint-Other parts in boxes that I have not opened, and honestly, cannot remember all of them. General:Very rare, clean, and nice driving car. Starts and runs well. Sounds throaty like a V-8 should without being obnoxious like the 396ci SS. The undercarriage was undercoated some years ago, and appears clean and solid with no apparent surface rust. This Chevelle will run down the road at 70 mph all day and feels solid doing it! I have driven it in parades with my family this summer, and just about all over town racking up close to 1000 miles on it so far this summer. It drives well and should put a big smile on your face, and your significant other's too, when you are cruising to your local drive-in or car show! Come and see it and drive it home anywhere... but you might want to trailer it as the paint is really nice! Inspection: I can provide a few references of local mechanics who can inspect the car, that have not already seen the car. In the interest of fairness, I feel a clean first look would be the best route for you as the buyer. I do not know what they will charge to inspect it. You can arrange the timing and payment directly with them, or you are welcome to arrange your own inspection and I will do my best to accommodate timing. Inspection must occur within 15 miles of 44022. Bidding: Please ONLY BID if you have cleared the sale with your significant other and have 100% of the funds immediately ready to compete this transaction. Time is of the essence in this transaction, funding delays will not be tolerated, however I can store the car for 30 days for your convenience so you can arrange shipping. I will assist with shipping, but ultimately it is the buyer's responsibility. Vehicle is listed for sale locally. I reserve the right to end this listing at any time prior to the end of the auction. Owner/Title: This is a private owner sale. I hold clean and clear title in my name. Upon full payment, I will forward the title, service history, and extra keys in my possession via express overnight unless other arrangements have been made. Contact: If you would like to call me directly to discuss the car please call; Hank @ (216) 346-3009. I am not always quick at returning emails through eBay, so please call me to discuss and be sure to ask all questions PRIOR to bidding! Thank you for looking!

Normal 0 MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Note: Relisted to non-paying buyer, “had his money tied up in investments, which take 60 days to redeem without penalty”. Please do not bid if you cannot pay for the car. 1964 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu convertible, model 45667, 283 CI, 190 HP, 2 bbl. Powerglide, rare power top, AM radio, pretty much original or restored to original, major change from stock is power disc front brakes with proportional dual circuit braking, wheels and tires. A caution about GM A body convertibles: All of the A Body convertibles have a boxed frame from the factory for added strength. When restoring a convertible, if the frame was replaced, some folks use the channeled frame common to the non-convertible cars, which are much more available (only about 1 in 15 ’64 Malibu’s were convertibles), but are not appropriate for the convertible. My car has the original correct boxed frame, ‘born with the car’ as they say. I have owned several collectible cars, and learned pretty early that the single most important item is the condition of the body and frame. Devil rust is the enemy of an old car, most everything else can be fixed if needed, but the cost of rust repair can quickly sink the car into a parts unit. Now, the previous owner of this ’64 Chevelle Malibu was the owner of a local body shop and this was his personal vehicle. As might be expected, he applied his expertise to the body and frame. He started with a very solid car (of course he knew to do that), replaced as necessary the rusted sheet metal—new rear quarters, trunk floor panels with new metal, etc. and did the hours and hours of work prepping and painting the car, which in my opinion turned out beautifully-it’s a burgundy metallic—not sure if it’s the same as GM 1964 color 948, called Palomar Red, but it looks striking on the car. I am not proficient in metal work or painting, so I only bought this car as the expensive and high-talent work was complete. The chassis is solid and true, the panels are straight, very good hood, trunk and door fit and gaps. Ok so the car looks great, but how does it run? This is where I come in, I am fully capable of repairing, replacing and refurbishing the parts of vintage cars—I enjoy doing that. This car, when I bought it, ran well, but had some issues. The following is a partial list of the work recently completed on the car, (some of which was done by the previous owner, the rest my efforts): Front disc brakes (Dual circuit proportional power brakes), drilled and slotted rotors Rebuilt Powerglide transmission Rebuilt steering box New radiator and hoses Rebuilt alternator New rear quarters, etc., etc, Professional body shop sheet metal repair and repaint New American Racing 17” Torq Thrust II wheels New tires Cooper Zeon ZPT, 225/45/R17 front, 245/45/R17 rear, gives a nice stance. New hydraulics (motor, hoses, firrings) for power top Rebuilt front seat New seat belts (front) New carpet New dash Rebuilt speedometer New dash mounted tachometer (replacing clock) New headlamp switch New front parking lamps New turn signal switch New glove box New drink holder—neat, fits in space of original ashtray, great idea. Fairly recent dual exhaust system New grille Rebuilt carburetor New fuel sender Newish boot—these 64-65 A body boots fit poorly, lousy design, thanks GM Newish front and rear bumpers. (Rear bumper is actually for a 1965 Malibu, fits and works, but not concours correct--I think he checked the wrong year when ordering it, as ’64 repro bumpers are available.). Present condition: As above with the following observations: A few paint chips from driving and careless tools, not bad, but I wanted to point it out. Inoperable horn—never got around to fixing it. Passable convertible top— serviceable, could be replaced for concours showing. (on my convertibles I keep the top and windows down unless it’s raining). The side windows all have scratches in the glass, quarter size, down low, looks like spider web, mystery, suspect earlier contact with the lift mechanism with the window down, does not impact visibility, just want to point it out. Odometer shows about 81,000 miles, no proof, but I expect it is correct. Now, I strongly encourage you or your representative to see the car before bidding—I never would buy a car this valuable without personally checking it out myself. I have been honest in it’s description, but what looks good to me might be an issue for you, and issues I see may be of no consequence to you. Car is fully functional (except the horn) to the best of my knowledge, runs good, tracks straight, looks very nice and is dependable. That said, there is no warranty expressed or implied, and all sales are final. I have a clear title for the car, and will coordinate pickup (not arrange) with the company of your selection, at my location in Fenton, Michigan. Thanks for looking, any questions, contact me.

1970 Chevy Chevelle Malibu Convertible CLONE Originally a 1970 Chevelle 4 door converted over to a 2 door convertible. Rough around the edges not perfect but solid enough. Does Have Rust Issues. Mechanically it does run but not smoothly due to the Carburetor which I have an Edelbrock used carburetor and intake manifold combination which I bought but never installed. Could use a new exhaust system. Interior Seats need to be reupholstered. Other than that the 307 is original runs solid lots of power. Just needs a bit more tlc for someone who can spend more time to it. I would suggest to transport if possible if your looking to purchase outside of California. Car originated from the Wisconsin back in October of Last Year..

For Sale by owner since 2005, a Beautiful 1968 Chevorlet Chevelle Malibu Convertible. This car was completely restored (except for interior) in 2007 by Doug Jenkins Custom Hot Rods in St. Louis, MO. All bodywork was done with metal and welding, all rust removed, professionally primer and painted to its original Matador Red color. Solid driver without squeaks, rattles or other body noise. New heavy cloth automatic top with no rips or marks to speak of. Very clean underneath. A/C works good as well as heater. Engine was purchased from Proformance Engines in New Jersey and installed by Grayson's Automotive Center in Wilson NC in 2011. Lot's of Chrome on the engine and less than 500 miles. Transmission (350 Level III 3 Spd. Auto) was also installed in 2011 along with matched Torque Converter and New Rear-End. Power front disc brakes were added and car has Power Steering. The only thing that has not been restored is the interior which I believe is partially original and some NOS and Replica Parts. Dash is original as well as the steering wheel and are in good shape. Dash has no cracks or splits. Center console looks original as well as the front bucket seats. Carpet has been replaced and is in very good condition. All Chrome has been restored as well including bumpers. The front grille is a NOS piece that I found soon after buying the car and I have the original grill too to go with car. I also have two new (replica) inside front door panels and I never installed (come with car). Wheels and tires are new (American Racing) and are in excellent condition. I also should mention that the car has all new suspension and has been readjusted to the exact original heights (both front and rear) based on the new engine weight. All lights are working as well as other controls and horn. Write with any questions you have and I'll do my best to answer them.
