Classic car addiction. Very nice car with exception of paint. There are paint flaws that are hard to see in photos. In our option car would need to be repainted in order for perfection/show winner. If you are not worried about paint quality this is an excellent buy on a car that could not be built with these upgrades, for this type of money. Pro street setup. We have adjusted price taking in consideration of the cost to repaint flawed areas. In my personal opinion, if paint was perfect and black car is worth mid 45k range. The rest of car is solid with great upgrades, a/c, heated seats, LS1 modified, very clean interior, exceptional clean undercarriage, engine bay is beautifully done. Great buy, especially if you or someone you know had the ability's to repaint exterior. 1965 Chevrolet Malibu SS. LS1 conversion, Air conditioning, Lots of custom work done. painted on rotisserie stand as seen in undercarriage. Firewall has been shaved and filled, very clean and color matched, like undercarriage. Body is very straight with no rust issues known or visual. LS1 is a great package with the overdrive 700R4 transmission, 3.73 gear ratio, this Malibu is a driver. Drivetrain is like new. We have been building LS powered restomods for over 9 years. The Body and Interior It all started with an original 1970 Chevelle Hardtop. The car was all stripped to bare metal and media blasted. New quarters were installed along with a new super sport hood. Original GM fenders, doors and trunk lid were reused and all body panels were mocked up and fitted for high quality gaps and body lines. The car was broken down and installed on a rotisserie. The tub was blasted inside and out. A new tunnel was fabricated to accept the new T56 6 speed transmission. All panels were given meticulous body work until laser straight. The car will painted with a urethane base coat clear coat paint in the color of your choosing. All panels will be painted apart and the jambs inside the doors, fenders and trunk lid will be very nicely done with the highest of quality. In the engine bay and firewall had its factory heater box holes welded closed then the firewall was worked with body filler and painted gloss urethane in body color for the smooth custom look. The inner wheel liners in the engine bay also received a fair amount of body work smoothed out and painted gloss body color as well to match the firewall. Tires and wheels will be owners preference with a $3,000 budget. All new 6 piece glass package will be purchased (windshield, door, quarter and rear) in either smoked dark gray or factory soft ray tint. The interior will be new from top to bottom with all newly reupholstered 70 factory bucket seats and covers. The interior has Dakota Digital gauge package in the original dash bezel openings for the factory look along with a Vintage AC and Heat factory fit system that bolts right in the factory dash location. The 6 speed Hurst Shifter pokes out of the interior console with Hurst short throw shifter handle and Chevrolet Performance black shifter ball. Finally a factory rebuilt tilt steering column adds to the comfort of adjusting the steering wheel where you would like it to be. The Heart of the Car: A brand new factory GM Performance LS3 crate engine will be purchased with factory installed “HOT CAM” producing 480 horsepower. These engines are incredible, if you want to drive slow they have super mild manners but as soon as you hit the accelerator it has brute big block style power…. they have good gas mileage (93 octane pump gas friendly), they fire up with the legendary fuel injection power….no messing with chokes, no messing with a carburetor, no messing with timing, no worries about the engine running hot in traffic…..these engines perform GREAT! We paint the intake plenum red to match the lettering on the factory Corvette engine covers and had a custom Chevelle decal made to cover the Corvette lettering on the covers. We added a front runner serpentine belt kit manufactured by Holley Performance giving you a stock GM look with brand new alternator, power steering pump and new Sanden Mini SD7 AC compressor. New aluminum radiator and electric fan along with a new Delco battery will finish off the engine bay. Gear banging is super enjoyable with the new Tremec T56 6 speed manual transmission. First through fourth gears get right down to business with the 3.90 gears out back. Pop it into 5th and 6th overdrive gears for nice highway cruising at low RPM’s. The transmission handles 700 ft. lbs. of torque and shifts effortlessly with the new hydraulic clutch system. New brake lines along with chrome smoothie master cylinder and brake booster was added. A new EFI gas tank with fuel pump and sender right inside the tank for low operating noise is used. New tubular control arms front and rear, shocks, bushings, ball joints and steering components were all added. The rear was disassembled and all new posi unit along with new 3.90 gears make up the rear differential. New beefy driveshaft was cut to length, balanced and out fitted with new U-joints. Finally wrapping up the underside is a new custom bent aluminized 2 ½ inch exhaust starting with a stainlesss set of shorty headers, custom H pipe, Turbo style mufflers and factory chrome SS Chevelle tips exit through the rear. Factory 1970 Chevelle SS 396 L34 350Hp.Have factory build sheet. Frame off restoration all new or redone drivetrain. Factory AC. All suspension has been repainted or powdercoated. All new brakes and brake lines, fuel lines, fuel tank. Engine is factory 396 L34 motor has CTW stamped on engine id pad, was told be previous owner it was original engine, but cannot make out vin on engine pad after machining was done only make out partial vin which is stamped upside down which is correct for Kansas engine. Engine and trans is rebuilt has approx 300 miles since rebuild. Trans is 1969 th400 with shift kit. Factory rearend rebuilt with 3.31 gears and new posi. Paint is original color Cortez silver with black stripes. Interior is factory Pearl with console, non gauge, has aftermarket cd player. ConsInterior: New carpet kit have new door panels arm rests. Seats are older but in good shape no tears had new foam installed. Dash and console are in original condition radio hole was cut for cd player has new dash pad. Needs speed cable Rear windows need to have new rollers installed. Rear bumper needs re-chromed couple of chips. AC is not hooked up needs compressor rebuilt is locked up. Front grill has a small crack. Front bumper is new aftermarket have the original bumper. Non flapper hood but has the cowl induction emblems. Look at this beautiful classic just waiting for a restoration. Up for sale is a beautiful 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu with a solid frame and chassis. This car is the perfect candidate for a first time buyer looking for a restoration project. This car runs and drives with no issues, though the brakes are a bit spongy. She fires right up and has no issues driving down the road. The paint is about a 5/10 and it could be repainted. It does have some blemishes and a few cracks in the paint but overall the body is in great shape for a car that is forty-five years old. The tires hold air but are beginning to crack. The SS wheels are in good shape. The motor runs well. Electric driven fan. Has a new carb. Has a torker intake manifold and cam. Car has Power steering. No A/c Car come with a new battery and starter (not installed). Clutch doesn't slip and transmission doesn't grind. The interior of the car is currently removed besides the dash and front seats. The gauge cluster works. The interior was removed in order to install the new interior that will come with the car. A new in the box Tamraz's interior kit in pearl white. It is missing the rear seat frame, carpet and headliner. The new upholstery kit does comes with the front and rear seat covers. Overall the glass is in pretty good shape aside from a crack in the front windshield. The floor pan is in great shape with no rust and the same for the trunk, where there is no rust at all. There is minor rust on the rear deck lid but the car comes with an additional trunk that needs to be painted. The car has very minimal rust, the only significant spot is the left rear quarter and the car comes with new replacement panels. Unique to this car, it comes with the original owners manual and a stack of receipts of work and parts purchased dating back to the 1990's and well as photos of the car when it was brand new.
