Classic 1966 Chevelle Super Sport 396 tribute, Fresh restoration, rebuild big block, turbo 350 auto, beautiful Marina Blue paint, bucket seats, modern sound system CD player, turn key show and go. If seriously interested email for more info. HOW IS THE ENGINE? its a good one, it has no rattles or knocks. The casting numbers are 396736, a 396 and the number indicated it. The radiator looks like it has been replaced recently, the anti freeze is clean and good. Car cools just fine. I did recently replace the cam with a stock 396cam with proper groove, also replaced lifters. Runs great HOW IS THE TRANSMISSION? Its a Turbo 350 automatic that shifts good.HOW IS THE REAR-END? Its a 12 bolt with good highway gears, I hear no whines or growls. HOW IS THE STEERING? Drives extremely straight - has power steering...push the brakes and take hands off wheel she stays straight as an arrow. HOW ARE THE BRAKES? Front disc rear drums - stop great work perfectly no leaks HOW IS THE PAINT? The marina blue metallic paint is very nice driver quality. No dents, no dings, some very minor touched up chips on the front edge of the door, it has a very good deep shine. The car was block sanded good, I consider it straight to look down the sides. HOW IS THE INTERIOR? New seat covers, new door panels, new kick panels, dash pad is good, headliner nice, sun visors great, carpet nice, original seat belts faded. HOW IS THE UNDERSIDE? It has old dealership under coating, I think the floors are original, the frame looks solid. looks solid to me. WHEELS AND TIRES: Goodyear tires at 85% front and rear - wheels are chrome rally wheels with proper centers 15x7 front and 15x8 rear DO THE LIGHTS WORK? Head lights work, tail lights work, brake lights work, turn signals work, interior light works, dash ligts work, wipers work, defrost works. DO THE GAUGES WORK? They are in a pod under the dash new cluster as well as new tach on steering column. WIPERS WORK! GAS GAUGE WORKS! SPEEDOMETER WORKS! HORN IS NOT WORKING. I am all for the true, correct, numbers matching restored cars that are available to collectors each and every day. The sad part is, these cars are so expensive, and so much time and money has been spent to make them so pristine, that they NEVER get out of the garage and onto the streets! That’s why I am such a fan of well-done tribute/clone cars, because you save tens of thousands of dollars, get the same looks from passerby, and not have to worry yourself sick each time you take it out for a cruise. In short, you actually get to DRIVE and ENJOY your car! This amazing Chevelle is a well-done 396 SS tribute that has been carefully restored and upgraded to make it look fantastic. Odometer shows 94498 but is not actual mileage - title reflect this. Engine, tranny and 12 bolt rear have about 2000 on them miles in all, entire car has about 2000 miles since restoration. This is a turnkey muscle car, owned since 2007 ready to drive and enjoy at local shows or cars n coffee. The car does wonderful on the highway and revs about 2400RPM at 65MPH, always runs at 185 to 205 degrees and oil pressure is perfect. Around town the 396 growl sounds great and grabs plenty of attention. The Turbo 350 automatic shifts perfectly at all levels and is a joy to drive with the B&M Quick Silver shifter. The 396 engine runs great, The cam and lifters were replaced recently as was shocks in all four corners. There is no rust underneath, pans and all in great shape - car is very tight, runs well, shows even better. Marina Blue Chevelle SS396 to me it is the PERFECT color for a Chevelle. This particular car wears its color beautifully, with a finish that is about 5 years old, and still shows very extremely well today has some very miniscule marks and blemishes from normal use, as you would expect, but nothing that detracts from the overall appearance of the car. This is NOT a “10 Footer”, but maybe a “3 Footer”, and it is not a $10,000 paint job, but a cleanly done professional body shop finish with tons of depth in clear, still turns heads whenever you drive it. It has an ample amount of clear on it, and looks deep. It has some tiny chips, a touched-up mark or two, little tiny hairline scratches, and other signs of normal wear from driving it fairly often the last few years, but it is still a VERY good-looking machine. The body is good, solid steel, and I can take my felt covered magnet over the entire car and it sticks like glue.Trunk seam, rear valence panel, and rubber trim are in great condition. The trim on the car is in GOOD to EXCELLENT condition all the way around the exterior. A lot of the trim parts and bright work are brand new items installed just a few years ago when the restoration was done, as you can see in the photos below. Correct Super Sport and SS396 badging looks fantastic on the car. The side rocker trim looks good, but the black paint in the grooves has a few tiny areas where it has chipped due to protecting the rockers from debris. The glass on the car is mostly original, and shows very well with the exception of the windshield which is new. Side glass front and rear is in good condition, and the windows go up and down with ease. Vent windows operate as they should, and rubber trim is in great shape - . The car rides on OEM Like 15X7 and 15x8 wheels with correct style caps, wheels are chrome giving you the look of the stock rally wheels but a bit deeper and they are all in exceptional condition. Tires Goodyears front and rear and are at about 85% Overall the car is a 8.5 out of 10 with just a few marks from normal use which is weekends onlyClean CA title in hand - current CA reg with car.
