1970 Chevelle - SS Trim The frame off has been recently completed on this car. The quarter panels, fenders and SS hood are new. Doors are original but the handles are shaved, so are the roof rails and rear marker lights. 2 small patches on the floorpans. Trunk is all original and very solid, so are the inner wheel housings. Shells for these cars are selling for 16 grand. Frame, inner fenders, lower floor pans, control arms and all components finished in gloss black. Engine compartment finished also, just drop your choice of an engine and trans in and your on the road. Car rolls and steers great. New brakes, brake hardware, wheel bearings, spindles, front springs. Needs rear suspension still. Needs rear window, all window trim, new bumpers, driveshaft, headlight rings, interior restored and some pieces, gas tank, rubber molding, radio, engine and trans, 1 rear tail light, A/C box, and a couple more things I am forgetting. Has a lot of parts with it that are not pictured. Body is extremely straight and would be very easy to paint at this point. Car has all glass besides front windshield. Just needs the body panels lined up right and minimal body work. Buying this car will save you a ton of headaches and it is at the point where you could take the build over and change the color with no problems if need be. I believe the car is a true SS but do not have the build sheet and the bodytag was damaged during sandblasting so it is listed as a Chevelle Sport Coupe. The car does however have all of the key SS parts installed including, SS dashboard w/ mint dashpad and round gauges, SS steering wheel, 4 link SS 12 bolt Moser rear end, re-enforced rear lower control arms, SS bucket seats with original bucket mounts, SS center console and shifter, and SS chrome 15" wheels. 1972 Chevy Chevelle Malibu V8 5.7L 350 engine (not original), Rochester quadrajet carb, 10 bolt rear axle, rear air shocks, power steering, manual brakes (all drum) All new brake drums, shoes, and hardware including cylinders and self adjusters, some brake lines replaced, new master cylinder. All new inner/outer front wheel bearings and oil seals. New transmission filter and gasket, both fuel pump gaskets replaced, new header and valve cover gaskets. All new oil, air and fuel filters, coolant flush, new motor mounts and transmission mount and newer gas tank. New power steering gear box and lines, new fuel line from tank to engine. New spark plugs, HEI distributor (cap and rotor), newer battery. Purchased 3 years ago from friend who owned it for 12 years, has been stored inside throughout. Paint has some minor chips and scratches, body is solid with a few small dents. The car runs great, only looking to break even on what I have in it.
