1979 Chevrolet K20 Scottsdale. 3/4 ton, 4x4, Automatic, Power Steering, Power Disc Brakes, Regular Cab, Long Bed Dark Carmine Red with White Top - Original color combination, truck had 1 repaint in the early 90's. A white pinstripe was added and the tailgate lettering was re-done in correct white decals. Clear is peeling on fender tops and a few other small spots. V8, TH400, 14 bolt rear, NP203 full time 4x4 transfer case. Original build card from the glove box door is included. The adhesive was giving way, so it is safe in the trucks file. Here is the build info: EXT. B/EYE MIR 7.5" REAR AXLE - 4.10 RAT AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION AUXILIARY FUEL TANK 7.50-16/0 TUBE OOR N GAGES - VOLMETER, O CAMEL CUSTOM VINYL SLIDING REAR WINDOW FLEETSIDE PICKUP BOX 6.6 LITRE (400CID) STANDARD EMISSION SYSTEM AM RADIO CONVENTIONAL TWO-TONE SCOTTSDALE EQUIPMENT DARK CARMINE RED Body is very straight, no evidence of prior accidents or repairs. Wheel openings, door bottoms, cab corners, rockers, floors, fenders, tailgate, bed, etc are all clean. Some bubbling around windshield seal and one spot behind rear wheel. See pics. Windshield recently replaced, so no pitting, but it does have a 1/2 inch crack right in the drivers line of sight. Interior is original Camel Custom Vinyl. Bench seat is in good shape with separation at outer seat bottom seam on driver side. Original vinyl floor cover is in nice shape. All the aluminum sill trim is in good shape. Door panels are original, doors were cut for speakers. All original gauges work properly. Crack in top right corner of gauge bezel. Truck did not orignally come with a headliner, roof paint is very clean, original sunvisors are in good shape. Aftermarket CB Radio, Sony AM/FM Cass with 2 door speakers, Intermitent wiper control, trailer brake and altimiter added by 2nd owner. All work properly - CB is untested, it turns on and lights up but I haven't tried it. Truck runs and drives very well. I've driven it a few thousand miles over the summer around Montana and it has been flawless. Starts easy, runs cool, goes straight down the road with no wandering or vibration. Brakes work well, transmission shifts smoothly up and down. 4x4 works properly. All the electricals work. I would get in this truck and drive it cross country tomorrow with no worries. Truck recently had an extensive tune up and a few repairs. New cap, rotor, coil, plugs and wires. New air filter and gasket, New belts, New fuel filter, Replaced selector for dual fuel tanks it had a slight leak. Both tanks work and switch properly. Brake fluid flush. New vacuum modulator for trans. New exhaust manifold gasket and new dual exhaust from manifolds back with cross over pipe and stainless mufflers. Only other issue found was a leaking transfer case. Something to address, but not a priority. I bought this truck a few years ago after a long search with the intent of keeping it a long time. I looked at a lot of beat up trucks before finding this one. It was oblivious the truck had been taken care of the minute I saw it and I bought it right there. I then had the truck gone through and everything it needed taken care of. I spent a bunch of money getting everything done and doing the exhaust right thinking I would have the truck long term. With the best laid plans, life can intervene, I found something else I have to have, so the truck has to go. I bought it from the 2nd owner who had purchased it in 1989 to haul his slide in camper and fishing boat. He only drove it in the summers and kept is stored inside. There are marks on the wheel wells in the bed from sliding the camper in and out. Summer only driving saved the body and the inside storage save the interior. I keep the truck stored in my heated shop and have also only drive it in the summer. IT HAS WON NUMBEROUS PRIZESIF YOU WOULD LIKE TO HEAR IT RUN, AS WELL AS HEAR THE RADIO PLEASE ASK AND WE WILL PUT IT ON UTUBE!This car has hand pin striping on the outside, under the hood, on engine parts, inside the car on seats and moreWe are the 3rd owner of this car. (AutoCheck says 2 which is incorrect)The second owner made it this beautiful color deep purpleThis car was completely disassembled to do this.We purchased this car in June of 2011 It had approx. 115,600 miles on it. (title states 79539 which is wrong)6/27/2011 we had the car diagnosed and injectors needed replaced The only things not purple on the engine is where we replaced the "injectors", are the bolts as we did not have the color purple for it7/11 these were replaced with Bosch InjectorsWe have our papers assuring this is the "right mileage" and dates of purchasesWe have had no mechanical problems since then. The car runs fantastic7/02/11 we had new tires put on the car from Les Schwab (115687 miles)The Vette is sitting at less than 128,000 miles right now and they are in excellent condition. We are taking advantage of the few weeks left for driving. It may be a over when sold. There are only three things that need fixed:1> the plastic bracket where the sunroof goes into, 2> someone me make me hit the side of the curb and hit the "cosmetic" pipe, &3> the passenger seat will go up and down, but not forward and backward. At times the RPM gauge takes a while to show. A Tech says it is most likely a solder issue. The anti-lock stays lit. There is nothing wrong with the brakesWe have taken excellent care of this car. It is garaged during the winter months and summer months, it is under a canopy. Some items we have purchased lately: we replaced the rotors with purple slotted rotors (2014)(We have the purple ones that came off the car stored)The car has new tail pipes on it (2014)New Battery from Costco (2014)We also have the original side panels that are painted the same color as the carThe car cover& 4 stock Corvette Rims I took 60 pictures of the car but am not sure how many will get listed. I took everything on rug condition to pin stripingSome you can barely see due to the shine, but I can't help that.My car had only one incident. We were participating in a Car Show in Kalispell when a "fire truck" (YEP) skimmed the front bumperI do have pictures of this. It did no damage except for a scuff, and scuffed the trim. It was completely striped and repainted and new pin striping at Collision Repair....also brand new black trim(I also have the paperwork on this)If you have any questions please feel free to askIf you need more pictures that Ebay lets me post, please contact me and I will see what they will let me do.Thanks for checking her out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!AND JUST BECAUSE ITS PURPLE DOESN'T MEAN THE MEN WON'T DRIVE IT!!
