Hello! I know 1968 is a hard year to prove a cars a true Z 28. Here is this cars back ground as I know it .And is why I know this cars the real deal. In 1968 Mike bought the Z 28 new. After owning it 8 years ,Mike decided to make the car a big block SS 396 car. Mike removed the fenders and hood.He didn't want to ruin the fenders by re drilling holes in the fenders for the 396 emblems. So he bought from GM ,back in the early 80s new fenders. This gave him a blank slate to drill the holes for the emblems and keep the Z 28 pieces original. At that time he bought a cowl inducted hood and installed it with working flapper. Life goes on a few years and Mike takes his own life. So Paul a great friend steps up and buys the Z and the parts related to the car. Years go by and Paul does nothing with the car and sells it To Connie ,a local Parts store person. This is in 1985 Connie buys the car from Paul and stores the car the entire time until a year ago in climate controlled shop with 40 other nice cars. I come along and buy the car from Toad Connies son,Connie passed away. So Paul the 2nd owner still has the Z 28 fenders and hood he will sell them only to the person who owns the Z28 . I haven't gotten around to buying the stuff.Original z 28 fenders and hood can be bought from Paul for $500.00 I cant drive a 4 gear car due to a knee injury .Thats the reason why Im selling. So thats the history on the Z 28 as I understand it. Selling one 1968 Chevrolet Z 28 Camaro M 22 Rock Crusher 4 speed 350 4 bolt engine dressed to look like a 302 Including correct bell housing ,exhaust manifolds,correct intake ,water neck and pulleys . Correct Posi rear end matching date code Correct and restored 4 piston brake calipers Rear bumper with Z 28 bumper guards Correct Tie rod ends The body has under 58000 miles on the odometer because the car was stored since 1984 Interior looks near perfect Bucket seats center console with gages The car has a tiny spot of rust on the right rear wheel lip .This is the only rust I have seen or found on the entire car,and I have scoured over this car.The quarter panels are original This cars a time capsule. It neds paint and body work ,but thats it . I have for sale separate from the car a non matching numbers 302 ,with the correct crank connecting rods and pistons all machine work done $3000.00 The casting number is correct for the 302 Its an MO stamping New Tires ,the wheels are the wheels that were on the car when I got it and I was told they are Z 28 wheels but I have verified this information. Chevy k20 pick up. Bought this rig a few months back in Sandy,OR thinking I needed a big truck. After discussing with my lady we need something smaller with us living deep in the country, gas mileage playing a factor. The truck is blue book at $6,100-$9,100. I am only asking a low price as there is some cancer but it is restorable. Asking $3,500 o.b.o. For someone who knows how to do minor restoration this is a great deal as all the major mechanical work is done. The motor is a sbc 350 rebuild out of a shop in Portland. I have paper work with order number included. I have spoken with the shop and verified the work was done 2 years ago. The odometer reads at 58k, the motor has less then 20k on it. The drive train has less then 2k on it. it has a turbo 350 transmission less than 20k mile on it, transmission shifts nice and smooth, no hesitation, no slips. 4wd works beautifully, high and low works awesome. Here's whats been done to it: new lunati cam and lifters, 512 lift, its a hydraulic cam with hydraulic lifters $390 (huge cam) new chevy bow tie dual plane high rise intake $200 new pro comp aluminium radiator $580 new 1.5 roller rockers $180 new push rods $75 high performance gear drive $180 (quiet gear drive you can barley hear it) new 2 3/4 thrush exhaust $140 new distributor set up for msd $200. (no msd ignition in the truck, still running vacuum advance, just need msd box then its ready to go? screw in studs $50 (pressed studs have been pulled from the bosses on the head and have been tapped) tires are wild country radials txr lt315/75r16 $400 (like new only about 10k put on them) new warn manual locking hubs $80 new coil overs on the front $125 auto meter monster tach new battery new starter new brakes pads new belts new pitman arm New tags and plates wheel bearing have been packed less than 1k ago 4"lift front end is dana 44 rear end 16 bolt floater solid rear window was replaced with slider window. the cab and front is a 78 and the bed is an 83. heater, works great. new kicker speakers cd player with usb hook up the cons..... no passenger side gas tank bench seat has wear and tear needs replaced. driver side window molding needs replaced window is hard to roll up windshield has a small crack windshield wiper motor works but kinda slow but I have a replacement motor included in purchase front blinker light wiring needs replaced sending unit is out on the gas tank. the body has some dents, but not too bad. I have a set of 1 ton leaf springs for it, and nerf bars for the truck, those are included in the buy. give me a call; only serious cash offers.
