1955 Chevy 3100 Big Window V8 Auto power steering disc brakes & A/C!! This is one amazing truck so much fun to drive and so comfortable, most of the restoration work was done in 2011. As you can see from the video she starts right up and runs super smooth, the engine is very strong and sounds great.We have a 350 V8 and T400 transmission out of a suburban along with a rebuilt GM 10bolt rear end (look at the date stamp on the rear end in the pic) so this truck cruises at 75mph on the freeway no problem.Front disc brakes stop this truck very quickly and super straight, you can see in the video that I make a quick stop to turn left. The power steering allows you to steer with one finger, you can see that in the video as well.This truck has new springs and shocks giving it a nice firm and stable ride, no wobble or errant steering travel while driving this truck, she is as stable and straight a driver as they come. There is also a new large 3 core aluminum radiatorwith dual electric fans hooked up to the thermostat, this truck will not overheat even with the a/c blasting. Thats right, we have a vintage a/c system installed on this bad boy to keep you cool on those hot summer day cruises!! 1953 Chevy 3100 fully restored all original with a Garrett Turbo! Very nicely restored 1953 Chevy 5 window truck satin black super straight body with no rust. Super nice looking truck, the body and paint are flawless, the dark blood red powder coated rims look amazing!The interior is completely stock with a retro looking upgraded stereo in the stock location in the dash! All the gauges and lights work as they should. New electrical wire harness done. The engine was completely rebuilt and a Garrett turbo was added and connected but not actually connected to the carb right now. We have tried real hard to tune with the turbo connected but unfortunately it will require a new flow through carb and intake and we are not sure we should do that. Our idea was to try and make the turbo work with the stock carb and manifold at a very low 3lbs boost but we have not been successful so far. As you can see and hear in the video the truck runs great without the turbo but you can still hear it spooling due to the exhaust and it sounds awesome! We also still have the stock exhaust which will be included in the sale. Of course if someone feels like making the investment we would be more than happy to make this set up work with the new carb and intake, but at this point we want to offer the truck for sale as is so it can be taken in the direction the new owner wants, back to all original stock or where ever else he/she wants to go with it!! The truck runs very well, it starts right up and runs smooth. The brakes were all redone, new wheel cylinders and spring kits along with new lines, its stops as well if not better than when new. Pretty much everything on this truck has been replaced. Missing in the pics but included in the sale will be an appropriate shifter knob and a new black rubber mat for the floor. 1951 Chevy 3100 restored 5 window black plates This truck was restored 8 years ago and then sat in the garage for the last 5 years hardly used at all, it has always been in central CA out of the Modesto area. The truck has a 230 inline 6 paired with an automatic powerglide from a 60's Nova installed, it runs great and starts right up. We went through and drained the gas and flushed the tank and the lines, gave the truck a complete tuneup and reset the timing. The truck was painted during the restoration and as you can see it was a pretty decent job, we went through and color sanded and polished the paint to a super high luster, very nice looking truck now. All the chrome was replaced during the restoration and still looks great, only the rear bumper has some slight pealing. All the glass was replaced and still looks brand new, all the rubber and window felt has also been replaced. The interior looks new with a perfect bench seat, everything works as it should including all the windows, lights, new gauges, new speedometer, turn signals, high beam, and even the horn. The truck runs very well, it starts right up and runs smooth. The brakes were all redone and still feel like new, its stops as well if not better than when new. Pretty much everything on this truck has been replaced.Only issues are the floor could be replaced and one cab corner could eventually be replaced due to old rust that was treated and stopped during the restoration but for some reason they did not replace those panels.Please see the pics and call or email with any questions. The bed needs some attention but everything else is in very good driver condition. The paint is an older respray that has held up well and has some nice patina going on now, you can see some of the details in the pics. Frame and underneath is very clean.The interior has new carpeting with a new bench seat, the dash is nice all original and uncut with the original radio!The truck does have a very smooth running 350 V8 that starts right up and runs strong, it supposedly has about 15k on a rebuild including the TH350 trans and does run like it.There is a Chevy truck 12 bolt rear end installed that helps the truck run highway speeds with any problems. 1953 Chevy 3100 all original restored w/V8 and Auto What a pleasure to drive this all original truck with a nice V8 and TH350 trans upgrade. This truck has had a very nice previous restoration that has held up very well, the pics do not lie. Some chips and a couple dents from use over the years and also some clear fading on the roof but overall its still in fantastic shape. More recent upgrades include a freshly rebuilt 327 motor which starts right up and runs strong, the trans was also rebuilt last year and shifts smooth as possible. The brakes have been completely rebuilt with all new lines and hoses, wheel cylinders and spring kits and a new master cylinder. There is also a late model 12 bolt Chevy rear end so this truck cruises on the freeway no problem. This is a cool little truck that needs someone to take it in whatever direction they want or just drive it as is. Has a strong 235 inline 6 that pulls strong and starts right up. Manual 3 speed trans shift smooth. The brakes have been completely rebuilt so the trucks stops excellent. All the lights including turn signals work, all the gauges except gas work. The patina was created using a multi-step process with clear part of the last stage to seal in and protect the work. The end result is essentially a very durable coating with a little texture instead of flat paint. The interior is regular paint with a nice uncut dash. Needs a wood bed or any other type you like. - strong 235 inline 6 - 3spd manual trans on floor- all new brakes lines- new shoes, wheel cylinders & spring kit- all the lights work as they should- blinkers work- gauges all work (except gas gauge)- newer rims & tires We are just too busy at the shop to continue work on this truck so its ready for someone else to enjoy as is or build it more how they like.
