This is an older frame off restoration that always draws a crowd at the local shows & cruise ins. It's not a show car, but is a nice cruiser that most people would be very proud to own. It has an Edelbrock 350 crate motor with aluminum heads and 2X4s, stainless shorty headers with 2.25" pipes with 40 series Flowmasters, MSD distributor & coil and an aluminum radiator, Tremec 5 speed and the stock 55 rear end. The frame, floor and all the braces & body mounts are in excellent condition. The body bushings still look new. The frame is boxed and has QA1 front coilovers and 2" drop spindles, Wilwood power front discs and a rear shock relocation kit. It rides on 18" Ridler wheels with 225/45& 275/35 tires. The interior features white leather stock bench seat and BelAir door panels, Classic Instruments gauges, Vintage Air, Custom Autosound USA-5 stereo with amp, CD changer and 4 Polk Audio speakers and an American Autowire harness. This car was purchased by the previous owner at Barrett Jackson Scottsdale 2016 and has received numerous upgrades since I purchased it. I have another car already so I'm not interested in trades. Any questions call Brian @ 865 908-7731 before 10pm EST. Thanks for looking and Happy New Year.

A CORVETTE L88 CONVERTIBLE SOLD AT A MAJOR AUCTION FOR 3.4 MILLION DOLLARS, SETTING A NEW WORLD RECORD. CLICK ON THIS LINK FOR THE ARTICLE FROM THE PUBLIC DOMAIN OF THE INTERNET: http://money.cnn.com/2013/09/11/autos/corvette-record-auction/index.html THIS IS A RARE AND UNUSUAL OPPORTUNITY FOR THE CORVETTE ENTHUSIAST. PLEASE READ THE AD AND VIEW ALL THE PHOTOS TO UNDERSTAND THE COMPLETE STORY. NOTE: IF YOU ARE SEARCHING FOR A CONCOURSE, 100% CORRECT NCRS TOP FLIGHT EXAMPLE, THIS IS NOT THE CAR FOR YOU. THIS L88 IS BEING SOLD FOR A FRACTION OF THE CURRENT MARKET AND AUCTION VALUE OF A TOP FLIGHT L88 VETTE. THE REASON FOR THIS IS THAT ALTHOUGH THE NUMBERS MATCHING ENGINE BLOCK STILL RESTS IN THE ENGINE BAY, THERE ARE COMPONENTS THAT ARE NOT CORRECT TO A NCRS RESTORED L88. IT'S THAT SIMPLE. THIS BEAUTY HAS BEEN BEAUTIFULLY RESTORED, BUT IT HAS BEEN RESTORED TO AN OWNER'S PREFERENCES, AND IT IS NOT COMPLETELY CORRECT. 1152 MILES SINCE RESTORATION. PLEASE VIEW THE PHOTOS AND READ THE DESCRIPTION, THEN YOU CAN COME TO YOUR OWN CONCLUSION. CLICK ON THIS LINK FOR PHOTOS OF THE SEVEN LEAF SPRINGS, 7,000 RPM TACH, HEAD STAMP, AND ENGINE PAD: http://s514.photobucket.com/user/redeuce/library/NEW%20L88 At some point in ownership, some modifications and upgrades were made to suit the owner’s interests. These changes were made back in the day, before the market value of these vehicles skyrocketed into infinity. This is more common in the muscle car hobby than miraculously finding a 40 or 50 year old vehicle with every nut and bolt completely original after all these years. Gear heads purchased and modified them in the era. Today, hobbyists have labeled these "Day Two Restorations". That is the case with this vehicle. Then a fresh frame up was recently performed, preserving the Day Two modifications. Keep in mind we are selling this beautiful Corvette for a fraction of what a completely original example would sell for. However, the original, numbers matching engine is still installed in the vehicle. The VIN number, engine code, and build date are clearly visible on the engine pad, on the block. Look at the photos at the top of the ad to view it. Also, the block is the correct 512 casting code. Remaining options for the L88 are present on the vehicle. However, some components, including but not limited to carburetors, intake manifold, air cleaner, alternator, hose clamps, and water pump are not correct. These components are readily available, and at this price, the new owner can definitely make the car completely correct and still be way under market value. Or, since it is a freshly restored example, drive it and enjoy it as it is. Even an L88 clone or reproduction sells for more than we are asking. We believe this is the perfect opportunity for the Corvette buff. Enjoy it as is, or improve your investment by replacing the incorrect parts. We ask that interested buyers contact us for an appointment for an inspection if you have any questions or doubts, so there is no confusion. ALL LEGITIMATE TRADES WILL BE CONSIDERED. CLICK ON THIS LINK FOR A VIDEO OF THE VEHICLE FROM THE PUBLIC DOMAIN OF YOUTUBE: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KBysHa3k0mk Due to an extended labor strike, the 1969 Corvette build cycle was one of the longest for U.S. cars- September of 1968 until December of 1969. Serial number range 700001-738762. The VIN number for this Corvette decodes as follows- 1- Chevrolet Division 94- Corvette 37- Two Door Coupe 9- 1969 S- St. Louis, MO. Assembly Plant 726419- Sequential Serial Number Although it was one of the most aggressive, powerful vehicles ever built, the L88 was a very discreet offering by Chevrolet. Manufactured from 1967-1969, approximately 216 total units were manufactured, 116 of them in 1969. Chevrolet actually discouraged L88 orders from dealers and the public. It was developed for the track and never intended for street cruising. Many were even optioned as radio and heater delete. To qualify for SCCA A-Production and FIA GT events, the L88 had to be offered as a standard factory option, so GM quietly, almost secretly offered the car for sale to the public. Automotive icon Zora Arkus-Duntov headed the project, with motivation from legend Don Yenko and the Sunray DX Motorsports Team. The L88 was in fact first offered to teams such as Sunray DX Motorsports, for events such as Sebring and Daytona. The beast even crossed into the realm of drag racing, and was quite successful. In an unexpected twist of fate, more of these ended up on the streets in the possession of the general public than were used for the intended purposes of racing. Due to the newly enforced stringent emissions standards of the day, GM was forced to cancel the L88 after 1969. It remains today as one of the most feared and respected examples in Muscle Car era history. The average car enthusiast may believe the only difference between an L88 and a standard Corvette is in the engine bay. Of course the engine featured Cam Am spec aluminum heads, forged crank, 12.5:1 pistons, solid cam and valve train, and a 850 CFM dual feed Holley carb. The L88 included much more than just the engine upgrade. Mandatory factory upgrades included a Muncie M22 Rock Crusher or M20 Turbo Automatic, power assisted heavy duty brakes, F41 heavy duty suspension with new coil springs and dampers, G81 Posi-Traction differential, and a Cowl Induction Hood. CLICK ON THIS LINK FOR EXTERIOR PHOTOS: http://s514.photobucket.com/user/redeuce/library/L88%20EXTERIOR This Corvette exterior is Monza Red. Fit, finish, and gapping on all panels is excellent. Paint quality is excellent. Buffed to a mirror gloss. All glass is in excellent condition. T Tops in excellent shape, fit securely. Chrome and stainless has all been polished. Side pipes. Corvette Rally Wheels with Red Line radial tires. Rear antenna. Hideaway headlights function properly. Excellent ride height and stance. Interior is in beautiful condition. Black bucket seats. Seats, covers, cushions, etc. are like new. Carpet, dash, door panels also in excellent shape. Speedometer, tach, and gauge faces are all crystal clear. Factory console in great shape. AM/FM radio. Excellent three spoke steering wheel. Even the pedal pads are excellent. CLICK ON THIS LINK FOR ENGINE PHOTOS, INCLUDING CASTING AND DATE CODES: http://s514.photobucket.com/user/redeuce/library/L88%20ENGINE As stated, an extensive history is not known on this vehicle, and the engine bay is not completely correct. The stampings are clear on the engine pad. T0106 ( Tonowanda Engine Plant, January 6). MR- 427, 430 HP L88, Manual Transmission. 9726419- VIN of vehicle. 512 Hi Perf block. Three two barrel Holley carbs mounted on an aluminum intake manifold. Solid lifters and valve train. Aluminum heads. Transistorized ignition. Muncie four speed. Posi-Traction rear differential. F41 suspension. Side exhaust. Heavy duty power brakes. For extra cooling, an aluminum radiator was installed. However, the original L88 radiator goes with the car. Undercarriage is detailed and clean. Engine bay is detailed and clean. Interior looks almost like new. Exterior finish is excellent. We believe there is investment potential in this offering. As stated, we recommend that serious buyers arrange for an in person or third party inspection to eliminate any questions or confusion. We specialize in the unique and rare, future investment affordable collector vehicles at old school prices. Since 1978 we have been a leader in finding rare and desirable cars. Most of our finds have done extremely well for our customers in terms of investments and enjoyment. These are just a couple of examples of the thousands of cars we have sold, and many were super investments. We know the rare muscle car market like no one on the planet. THIS IS ALREADY A FACTORY MODIFIED PERFORMANCE VEHICLE, WITH THE Z51 PERFORMANCE PACKAGE AND 3LT OPTION. HOWEVER, IN ADDITION, THIS BEAUTIFUL CORVETTE WAS SHIPPED TO HENNESSEY PERFORMANCE ENGINEERING IN SEALY, TEXAS, WHERE IT WAS UPGRADED WITH THE HPE650 SUPERCHARGED PACKAGE AND OTHER OPTIONS. THERE WERE ONLY 100 OF THESE MODELS SCHEDULED FOR BUILD, AND THIS IS NUMBER 007. THIS CAR IS FEATURED IN THE CUSTOMER SECTION OF THEIR WEBSITE AND ON THEIR FACEBOOK PAGE. 306 ORIGINAL MILES. STILL COVERED UNDER 3 YEAR/36,000 MILE WARRANTY! GO ON THE INTERNET AND FIND ANOTHER ONE FOR SALE. THE LAST 2014 HPE650 CORVETTE LISTED FOR SALE, FOUND IN INTERNET ARCHIVES, WAS LISTED AT $107,000, WITH 6,000 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. THERE ISN’T ANOTHER CORVETTE LIKE THIS, WITH THIS MILEAGE, AT THIS PRICE, ON THE PLANET. DON’T MISS AN OPPORTUNITY TO OWN THE ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE CORVETTE FOR 2014. Hennessey Performance Engineering was founded by iconic racer and tuner John Hennessey, in 1991. For almost a quarter of a century, this company has been building extremely fast automobiles. The company is located in Lonestar Motorsports Park in Sealy, Texas, which also serves as their test track. In the beginning, John Hennessey developed his own turbocharger and exhaust systems for the Mitsubishi 3000 GT that he owned. He set many speed records with this car. Forced induction was his passion, both turbochargers and superchargers. Soon, HPE started branching out to other import models. In 1993, HPE was concentrating on development of the fastest Vipers on the planet, and by 1996 began modifying Vipers exclusively. By 2004, HPE acquired Lonestar Motorsports Park, in Sealy, Texas, which served not only as the test track, but by 2008 the company headquarters. In 2008, HPE also opened the Tuner School, the first school dedicated to training high performance vehicle tuners. In 2009, HPE expanded its’ product line to GM products, the Corvette, Camaro, and the Cadillac CTS. HPE now also modifies various vehicles from Ford, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Dodge, and GMC. This full service facility offers everything from ported cylinder heads to camshaft upgrades, as well as the supercharger and turbocharger packages. HPE even modifies existing combinations. Fast forward to 2014, and the C7 Corvette story. At the Las Vegas SEMA show in 2014, Hennessey delivered a state of the aftermarket speech. In an interview afterward, he explained the reasoning behind the development of the C7 Corvette program for 2014-2015. The Z06 was the epitome of Corvette performance. However, there were none available in 2014, as Chevrolet put the car on hiatus while developing the 2015 year model. And for the 2015 model year, there would be a limited inventory available. In addition, GM was somewhat unclear in their advertising. Online and print marketing revealed a stripped down price of $78,000. However, the reality of economics, supply, and demand would come into play quickly. “Most dealers are going to be lucky if they get allocated one car and they’re gonna have a lot more orders than vehicles that they can deliver.” noted Hennessey. He also pointed out that few would be be built as base models in the upper $70’s, and most would be loaded out with the Z07 package and push the $100,000 range. To compound the problem, some dealers were charging as much as $25,000 over MSRP, bringing the possible cost to $125-$130K, and that is if you can even get one, depending on your position on the order lists. He theorized that many Corvette buyers might be disappointed. Hence, HPE developed two options for the C7 for 2014-2015 models. Limited to 100 units per package, per year, this allowed more Corvette enthusiasts to own the pinnacle of performance Corvettes. The HP650 upgrade resulted in 662 HP, and the more aggressive HPE700, peaked at 708 HP. HPE took this concept one step farther, offering three upgrade packages for the Z06. Although HPE had offered similar upgrade packages in the past, the 2014-2015 options were unique in that they actually were producing an almost direct replacement to the factory 2015 Z06. The ground pounding vehicle in this ad is number 007 of the 100 HPE650 units for 2014. The 6.2 liter LT1 is already a potent engine, and the Z51 3LT is a great performance car on its’ own merit. With the addition of the HPE upgrades, the performance and handling is equal to, or exceeds, the Z06. CLICK ON THIS LINK FOR PHOTOS OF THE EXTERIOR: http://s514.photobucket.com/user/redeuce/library/2014%20CORVETTE%20EX HPE Corvette 007 began as 2014 Z51, 3LT optioned vehicle. This is a rotisserie frame off car.  I hung a license plate in the air and built a car around it.  It’s all new; at the time of this ad the car only has 83.7 miles.  All new wiring harness, American Wiring Kit, all new switches, 355 4 bolt main, RV cam, vortex heads, Muncie 4 speed Hurst shifter, original Pcase posy 373 gear, CPP PS box, CPP tilt steering column, AM-FM Retro Radio with aux hook up, Dakota gauge cluster, vintage air, rain gear windshield wiper under dash kit, every component in the front suspension is new with P.D. B.  The rear springs have been moved inward under the frame for wider tires, shocks are bolted to a shock bar on the frame. The battery is in the trunk, it’s a red top optima battery,  wheels are T70 Americans, 17x7, 17x9 with Dunlop tires.  New glass, weather stripping, new floors, trunk section, tail pan, etc. deadener mat in doors, quarters, trunk and floors.  Because the car is not cranked often I unhook the battery each time.  The AC has to be reprogrammed because it and the gauges pull power.  I have the paper work to give instructions how to reboot the AC system.  We have 3 videos that should answer any question you have but call if you need more information. $60,000.00  865-654-5598   videos are at:  https://youtu.be/8kw_sj9IGFI

THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY TO OWN A NICELY RESTORED, RARE TRUCK. 1965 CHEVROLET C20 PICKUP. FLEETSIDE, 3/4 TON, LONG BED, 127” WHEELBASE. EXTENSIVE RESTORATION WAS DONE SEVERAL YEARS AGO AT A COST OF APPROXIMATELY $20,000. THE TRUCK HAS JUST BEEN GIVEN SOME MINOR FRESHENING, BOTH COSMETIC AND MECHANICAL. LOOKS GREAT, DEPENDABLE ENOUGH TO DRIVE ANYWHERE, IN ANY CONDITIONS. VINTAGE TRUCKS ARE THE HOTTEST PROPERTY ON THE MARKET CURRENTLY. THIS TRUCK IS PRICED WELL BELOW ANY OTHER TRUCK IN THIS CONDITION ON THE INTERNET. PRICED TO SELL TO A LUCKY NEW OWNER. PLEASE READ THE COMPLETE AD, AND VIEW ALL THE PHOTOS AND LINKS. ALL NEW PARTS AND RESTORATION WORK IS DOCUMENTED IN THE AD, RIGHT DOWN TO NEW BODY BUSHINGS. DON’T HESITATE ON THIS ONE, IT WON’T LAST. The style for the 1965 and 1966 remained essentially the same, with a few minor changes. There was no need to make drastic changes. The success of the truck line, built since 1913, was verified by the sale of the ten millionth truck in 1966. 1960-1966 represents the first generation of the modern C series Chevrolet trucks. The generation is viewed by collectors as the iconic truck, incorporating revolutionary mechanical and comfort designs. Most important of these were a drop-center ladder frame, allowing the cab to sit lower, and independent front suspension, giving an almost car-like ride in a truck. Chevrolet transitioned the pick up truck from essentially a farm and work truck, to a vehicle capable of every day use. This concept lives on today, and recreational trucks far outnumber work trucks. Chevrolet can be credited with this revolution. The fourth and final generation of the C/K line was the 1988-2002 platform. The aging C/K line was replaced with the Silverado series. Chevrolet has continued over the years to be in the forefront of style and passenger comfort. It all began with the first generation C/K series. HIGH LINE AUCTION RESULTS REVEAL SOLD PRICES OF THESE CARS AT $55,000- $70,000. NADA VALUES THIS MODEL AT APPROXIMATELY $65,000. HERE IS A CHANCE TO OWN A REAL, DOCUMENTED 1970 CHEVELLE SS PRICED BELOW MARKET VALUE. 58,900 ORIGINAL MILES. MIGHT BE THE BEST DEAL AVAILABLE ON ONE OF THESE ICONIC MUSCLE CARS. PLEASE READ THE COMPLETE AD, VIEW ALL PHOTOS, AND MAKE SURE TO CLICK ON ALL LINKS. DON’T MISS THIS CHANCE. THIS CAR IS MECHANICALLY SOLID. YOU CAN DRIVE THIS CAR ANYWHERE. Before we begin this ad, we would like to address a mystery that has surrounded the 1970 Chevelle SS for years. In 1970, approximately 51,000 SS 396, RPO Z25 Chevelles were manufactured. However, at every car show, cruise, or auctions nationwide, there are hundreds always on display. How can this be? The answer is very simple. They are clones or reproductions! The 1970 Chevelle SS is one of the most counterfeited models in the muscle car hobby. It is also one of the easiest to reproduce. There are absolutely no proprietary numbers, codes, vin indicators, etc. exposed or hidden on an SS that definitively prove the authenticity, that cannot be faked or reproduced. In addition, virtually every SS component is now available from aftermarket suppliers. Building a clone is as easy as ordering parts and assembling the car. So how can the buyers be positive they are purchasing the real deal? Simple- documentation. Original, rock solid documentation, not reproduced paperwork with a cup of Folger’s coffee spilled on it. This is a serious problem in Chevelle circles, and unfortunately many “Chevelle SS” owners nationwide don’t realize they are in the possession of a fake. It has been rumored for years that GM actually has the same documents in the archives as they had for Pontiac, Buick, etc. They supposedly are afraid to make this available to the public due to the legal problems that would arise due to the sheer volume of clones already out there. At any rate, it is quite unlikely that any more information will ever become available. Simply stated, documentation determines the value. And if a car doesn’t have documentation currently, it will never have it. We are selling this car for a friend. Tony Begley, President of Classic Muscle Cars Inc. states: “ This car belongs to an old friend of mine. He is retired, and downsizing his collection. When it comes to GM automobiles, he is extremely well versed. He is one of the best true “Car Guys” around. He located many cars for me over the years. One of these examples is the 1970 L-78 Chevelle SS Convertible that recently sold at Barrett-Jackson Auction. There is a link to that near the bottom of the page. He found the car for me in the early”90”s, and we restored it. He is a stickler for documentation, matching numbers, fit and finish, no rust, and quality ride and drive. You can buy this car, fly in to Nashville, and drive this one home with the A/C on.” CLICK ON THIS LINK FOR THE COMPLETE FILE OF DOCUMENTS. We apologize for some of the blurry photos. However, the build sheet, protect-plate, and dealer invoice are clear and readable. Other docs include all the original owner’s paperwork, as well as second owner”s: http://s514.photobucket.com/user/redeuce/library/1970%20CHEVELLE%20DOCS The Chevelle was manufactured at the Leeds Plant in Kansas City, MO., with a scheduled build date of 4/29/70. Shipped to E.B. Smith Chevrolet in Nashville, TN. Sold to a man from Nashville, TN. on 7/20/70. Four years later, sold to the second owner, also from Nashville, and it has been in that family’s possession ever since. This is a true lifetime Nashville, TN. car. Manufactured with the following options: Tinted glass Strato bucket seats SS door emblems Roof drip rail moldings Wheelhouse moldings Vinyl top Recessed wipers Astro Ventilation Air conditioning Console Hood and deck stripes F41 suspension 3.31:1 Posi-Traction axle Power disc brakes L34 396 engine M40 automatic transmission Power steering F70x14 tires Glove box light AM radio Windshield antenna Tire pressure label ZL3 SS 396 conversion Z14 A/C conversion Z25 SS 396 package There has been an exterior and interior color change from original, reflecting the second owner’s preferences. We feel this is a small deduction compared to the volumes of documentation, and has been reflected in the price. Note to purists: Most buyers would own and drive the car just as it is. We are selling this beautiful classic at a price that would allow you to change back to original colors, and still be under the market value of the car. All major engine components have original dates and codes, with the exception of a new starter. Note: Most Chevelle enthusiasts are familiar with the 67 day strike that paralyzed GM production in 1970. There are many examples of parts that were “pulled off the shelf” to complete cars in this era. This Chevelle is one of them. The painted valve covers have been on this car since it left the factory, in lieu of the chrome valve covers. It has been left that way because it is original. Rochester four barrel carburetor. PHOTOS: http://s514.photobucket.com/user/redeuce/library/1970%20CHEVELLE%20MISC We believe this is one of the nicest, most well documented examples of a true 1970 Chevelle Super Sport available at this price, available anywhere. Do your research. Then come back and look hard at this one again. Remember, documentation is the difference between a $35,000 and a $60,000 example. An undocumented 1970 Chevelle SS will always be a gray area car. If you are searching for investment value, and future appreciation on your investment, you MUST have documentation. GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR TRUCK ENTHUSIASTS, CONVERSION LOVERS, OR ANYONE LOOKING FOR A RARE AND UNIQUE VEHICLE. 1993 CHEVROLET C1500 PICKUP WITH A MARK III CONVERSION. EYE CATCHING WHITE PAINT. ORIGINAL PROGRESSIVE RACING WHEELS. MARK III BODY KIT. FULL MARK III INTERIOR WITH ALL THE OPTIONS. 5.7 LITER ENGINE WITH 4L60-E AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION. RUNS AND DRIVES AS WELL AS IT LOOKS. THIS IS A RARE OPPORTUNITY. THESE TRUCK CONVERSIONS DON'T COME UP FOR SALE VERY OFTEN. The Chevrolet C series trucks were built from 1960-1999. That is a 39 year production run. The C series was finally replaced by the Silverado in 1999. Chevrolet has been at the forefront of design and performance since the beginning. Today, consumers can walk into a dealership and basically order any power, comfort, or convenience option directly from the factory. However, just a few short decades ago, this was not the case. Especially in the truck and van models, available luxury options were limited. The only way to obtain a high end vehicle was to order a conversion. The conversions were basic units sent directly from the factory to an aftermarket company, who converted the vehicles into high end models by adding comfort, convenience, and style upgrades. One of the most well known of these companies was Mark III Industries. Mark III Industries, formerly located in Ocala, FL., was the largest truck and van conversion company in the world back in the heyday of the conversion craze. Mark III Industries was light years ahead of most conversion companies. The Ocala facility actually had eight production lines converting all makes and models of vans and trucks into high end, luxury units. Unlike the other companies, virtually all the components that were installed on a Mark III conversion were manufactured and produced within the Ocala plant. All wood trim was cut and shaped with automated laser machines to insure uniformity. The Ocala factory had its' own sewing shop and a cabinet shop. All paint work was performed in a state of the art, high tech facility that utilized air currents to prevent even miniscule dust and dirt particles from settling on the paint before it dried. They truly had a corner on the market, and thousands of vehicles passed through their plant. Although first popularized by their conversion vans, they quickly recognized customer demand and branched out to truck conversions. In their peak production years, there were approximately 1,850 employees and over 1,200 conversions per week were rolling off the assembly lines. Mark III was also instrumental in the fight against pollution. These anti pollution procedures were instituted well before government mandated regulation. Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) are a dangerous by products of the processes of conversions. Between 1988-1991, Mark III reduced the emission of VOC by 38%, at a cost to them of over $600,000. This forward thinking company not only reduced pollution in the atmosphere, but also improved the work environment for the employees. They accomplished this through substitution and reformulation of materials, improved application methods and equipment, changes in raw materials, changes in gluing methods, and the elimination of most of the paint procedures through the application of a revolutionary and somewhat unknown process at the time, vinyl graphics. Yes, Mark III was one of the pioneers in the vinyl graphics industry. The company was also the biggest employer in the Ocala area. In 1993 , in a state where manufacturing was one of the fastest shrinking sectors, Mark III posted total sales of $738 million, an increase of 91% from the previous year. Mark III was the 12th largest private company in the state of Florida in 1993. The goliath of conversion vehicles ran into multiple problems in the late '90's. They were hit extremely hard by two primary factors: 1) A vastly shrinking market; 2) Increasing competition from other conversion companies, and also the car manufacturers themselves, who were now selling a new popular vehicle dubbed the Sport Utility Vehicle, or SUV. In addition, as the new Millennium arrived, all the manufacturer's expanded their own luxury option lists on all vehicles, reducing the need for an aftermarket company. They began by closing their satellite companies, such as Tiara Motor Coach in Goshen, IN. In 1998, Mark III Industries was purchased by, and merged with, Glaval Corp., a transit and shuttle bus manufacturer. By mid 2001, the company closed its' doors, signifying the end of an era. Mark III Industries is recognized as the biggest and best conversion company in history. The quality control, along with attention to detail, and progressive thinking, is responsible for the fact that many examples of their work are still roadworthy today. A company named East Coast Custom Vehicles, formerly East Coast Auto Toys, in Riverhead, NY., is currently offering Mark III custom parts and service, but it is unknown if they build complete vehicles. Well known are the thousands of conversion vans that were manufactured. Lesser recognized and much rarer are the truck conversions. As the buying public shifted their use of pickup trucks from solely a work truck, to a full time vehicle, Mark III followed the trend by offering their conversion packages to truck owners. Now a proud pickup owner could add all the luxury and comfort components that the van owners had enjoyed for years. The Mark III package for the pickup trucks featured Progressive Racing wheels, custom dual exhaust with dual tail pipes, Mark III Package interior, wood grain dash, wood inlays on doors and seats, functional track lighting on doors and overhead console, power sliding rear window, lowering kit, body kit, and stereo system.
