Complete new chassis, engine, gearbox with wiring, etc. Powder coated chassis with Mustang 2 link independent front end with power steering, 3 speed 350 gearbox with matching late model 4 link rear end. Disc brakes up front with rear drums. The chassis is all powder coating or chrome underneath and has less than 1500 miles on the build since build. The truck has 2 way air suspension, chromed air tanks and braided stainless piping. Wheels are powder coated as well with period Denman Elegance sport tires. The engine is a rebuilt 235 with Holley Carb and split straight header, cam, auxiliary cooler and far more power than and torque than a stock 140hp 235. All of the electronics are new throughout with a Painless wiring loom and everything works perfect. The interior is bare bones and raw, there is no sound deadening, door cards, window winders or headliner. There is a oil pressure, water temp, and voltage gauges behind the original dash along with speakers and a updated built in ipod integration hidden in the glove box. There is a new adjustable steering column that has been painted to match the patina of the rest of the car that adapts to the original steering wheel. There is a new 3 speed floor shifter and the seat has been recovered in the correct tan vinyl. The old treasure chest in the bed hides the fuel tank. There are 4 replacement doors in decent shape that are included with the car. Car was parked in a storage barn in either 1997 or 1999 (never did get the straight story from the owner). Battery was purchased in 1998, so I suspect it was barned in 1999. Interior is going to need some TLC and there is some rust through on the drivers side (nothing major) floor pan. Previous owner's ex bought replacement pans for the drivers and passengers side, but never installed them. They come with the car too. Spare tire (rim) and two additional doors are still in Oregon and I can get whoever purchases this car in touch with the person that has them. I also have 10 quarts of oil, an oil filter, a valve cover gasket, upper and lower radiator hoses and clamps that will be included with the sale. All of the glass is there, but some of the door windows are cracked. The frame looks solid with surface rust and no rust through. There are exterior trim pieces inside the car, but a couple of the pieces look unusable. And the floor pan looks pretty good too. As I mentioned before, the only rust through is a small spot in the drivers floor panel. 1967 El Camino; Black on black, mean as hell. This car / truck gets attention everywhere it goes. If you're looking for a turn key car that you can actually drive, haul around your motorcycles and show on weekends then this is it. Power Steering, Power disc brakes and an automatic overdrive transmission make it a joy for anyone to drive!Engine is now a 4 bolt main 350; aluminum Edelbrock intake and Carter AFB carb. HEI Ignition and 1 wire alternator. New mechanical fuel pump and new fuel filters. K&N air filter. Exhaust is through dual Flowmaster Super 40s with an H pipe. Dumps out at the axle, sounds tough without being too obnoxious. The heads just got new valve stem seals and the rockers re-adjusted. Fires right up and idles beautifully. Aluminum radiator, shroud and flex-a-lite fan keep it cold even sitting in stop and go traffic.Transmission has been upgraded to a 700R4. 4 speed automatic transmission with overdrive and lock up torque converter. Shifts very smooth and paired with the 3.36 gears in the rear, gets 20mpg on the freeway and is totally happy cruising at 80mph all day long. Driveshaft was professionally shortened and balanced. New U joints installed and output shaft polished. Wheels and tires are pretty new, the set has maybe 2000 miles on em. (read: tons of meat left on the tires) Rims are American Racing Torque Thrust IIs, 15x7. Classic muscle car, my personal favorites. Brakes very recently upgraded to power discs up front. Stops on a dime by breathing on the pedal! New rubber lines, new shoes and wheel cylinders in the rear drums and all new ball joints and tie rod ends were installed to make sure the front suspension and steering are all tight and new. Professionally aligned after installation ~50 miles ago. New shocks on all 4 corners, and the rears double as air overload springs. Works great for leveling the car out when you've got a Harley or a small block in the back. Which reminds me, the bed has been re-lined. Welded in a new floor when I first got the car and added double doors with latches for the storage area in the front of the bed.Interior has new carpet and dyna-mat laid down on the floor. The seat bottom had a seam rip in it, so I had it re-stuffed and re covered last week; feels very comfortable on long drives. Dakota Digital dash keeps you up to date on all the vitals, while an updated stereo keeps your tunes pumpin. Two kick panel speakers up front and two 6x9s behind the seat. New weather stripping was installed about a year ago, keeps everything sealed up fine. The one downside to this car is the original A/C is no longer connected, so the climate controls don't work. I've been rolling around with the tinted windows and have been staying plenty cool here on the coast. The chrome vent in the middle of the dash is missing, but I'm sure it can be replaced pretty easily. The door panels and headliner are starting to show their age, but they're by no means shoddy. Exterior has new tail lights and new marker lights up front. Grille and emblem both re painted. The gloss black paint on this car is about a year and a half old at this point. I live off a dirt road so it's due for another clay bar and wax detail, which it will be getting within the week. I've been driving this car regularly, so the paint isn't in perfect condition, but it's pretty damn nice. I'd call it a step above a daily driver, but its not trailer queen status. You'll be plenty happy with it cruising Grand Ave or taking 'er to the drive-in. Gloss black never goes out of style, it's just classy and mean at the same time.All in all I think that's about it! Clean title in my name and current registration. I'm asking 16k, but open to reasonable offers. With a little more detail work I'm sure the car would be worth more in the 20-25k range like I've seen some others, but I dig it the way it is; something you don't have to be afraid to have fun with. She's always been reliable and I hate to see this car go, but it's time for me to move on to the next project.
