This is a very easy project 1998 C5 Corvette. It has a rebuilt LS1 with 6 SPEED. It will need cosmetic work to complete and will also need rear exhaust reconnected to intermediate pipes. The interior is black leather sport seat with the usual wear on seat bolsters. Tires and brakes are good. It has good oil pressure, temperature normal and no engine codes. The engine has less than 100 miles on it. It has a new Air Compressor that still needs charge. The following work has been done to the car. Engine: Less than 100 miles on it. Completely disassembled and cleaned professionally by machine shop. Heads completely reworked with new seals. Fresh crank installed with new rod and main bearings. (This was problem with car when I bought it. Spun #7 rod). Replaced #7 rod with new rod and all new rings. The most wear on any cylinder was 2/1000ths so block was just honed. Block cleaned and new cam bearings, galley plugs and freeze plugs installed. New oil pump, timing gear and chain installed. Of course all new gaskets and seals. (No leaks, installed with SAC Corvettes installation tools). New water pump and thermostat. New starter. New AC Compressor with all new O-rings installed (unit needs freon) Transmission: New clutch, pressure plate and flywheel installed with new bolts. New GM release bearing with slave cylinder replaced. Fluid changed and clutch master and slave bled. Brakes are good and fluid changed and bled and fully operative. Front calipers painted red with corvette logo painted silver. All front suspension has been painted and detailed. Rear exhaust all there just needs the 4 bolts connecting it to the intermediate pipes reconnected with gaskets. Cradle was completely removed, pressure wash and repainted. While engine was out. wiring harnesses were cleaned and front rails repainted black. Hopefully the pictures will show you what needs to be addressed with the paint. The front cover was taken off the car to address scuffs on the underside of cover. It has been sanded and primed. Its has had some repairs before but is usable as is. The RH rocker has scuffs that needs addressed along with 1 broken tab on the RH fender. Above the LH door handle you can see in pictures where the clear has come off and needs addressed. There may be some small scratches etc elsewhere but this are the most significant. Both headlights work. The headlight cover was broken due to previous owner trying to replace headlight motor. I have replaced motor and have the cover, but you will need the plastic bracket that attaches the cover to the mechanism. The interior is black leather with sport seats. To make really nice I would replace covers due to bolster wear etc. Carpet is 7/10 just needs good cleaning. No floor mats with car. The plastic vent grill next to the key switch for the inside thermostat is missing. ($19 from GM). This car runs, drives and stops. But will need to be hauled due to exhaust and bumper cover off the car. This car is AS-IS WHERE-IS with NO WARRANTY EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. You can come look at vehicle by making previous arrangements and I prefer that you do come look at car so you know exactly what your buying. This is not an auction so that that you win then come look at it, You win auction you own. I require a $250 deposit through PAYPAL within 24 hrs of end of auction. Remainder of payment can be made in cash, transfer, or if you have a bank in my area we can go and get a cashiers check cashed. Remainder of payment in 5 days. NO PAYPAL on remaining amount above the $250 deposit. The car is for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction at anytime.
