I am relisting this car because the winner of the last auction wanted to jump in it and drive it cross-country. And while it may very well have had no issues doing so, I had stressed to him this was a 16 year old vehicle which I had stated that the injection pump is throwing out errors in the listing. So let me simply state, again, that while I have had this Suburban as a company car for about 6 years and it has been a solid driver with lots of power over that time, it is a 16 year old vehicle, and while I am still driving it I would not drive it cross country until the pump error codes are addressed. 3 years ago the whole injection pump assembly had failed and I had it replaced by a Chevy dealer, (it is a known weak spot on these vehicles since they placed the pump and controller assembly in an area of the engine bay that gets very hot and did not design it to deal with the heat). In that case the pump itself failed. However, I still left the aftermarket PMD with heatsink mounted on the top of the engine disconnected that could be reconnected and might resolve the error codes that I was told was coming from the current pump assembly PMD. It also, as was in the last listing, per the mechanic has a wire short in the 2WD/4WD wiring connector under the vehicle that should be addressed otherwise if you switch to 4WD it does not switch back, and the A/C is weak lately and most likey needs a recharge. Lastly the hood paint is cracked and chipping up and there is small crack in the dash top. Now that we got the negative out of the way, on the positive side for a diesel Suburban it is relatively low mileage for these particular vehicles as many I know of are approaching 500K. Also since they only made diesel suburbans for 4 years, they are pretty rare and very sought after for a workhorse with great towing capability while carrying allot of people as well as one of the prime candidates for WVO conversions. It is tough to find one that does not have high mileage or been used for plowing and rusty. The body and frame are in very good shape for its age and there is no body rust and your standard minor parking dings and scrapes it has no body damage or has any body repairs that I know of and the carfax shows no accidents. Bumpers are new this year (old ones were getting pitted), and it just had a 4WD service in April by the Chevy Dealer which involved draining and replacing the flueds in the front and rear differentials and transfer case as well as tranny flushed flush and replaced the tranny filter. There was also a removable upgraded alpine stereo with remote and Sony preamps and bigger speakers in the back but I don't listen to the radio when driving so I have not used since purchase. Recent service was done at the Chevy dealer in April of this year where they did a 4x4 preventative maint on the drivetrain which included draining and replacing the fluids on the front and rear differential and transfer case as well as a tranny flush and tranny filter. It has the towing package with a brake controller and add-on extender mirrors that come with it. I had used the car to tow a camper and it never hesitated or bogged down even with a new larger 36' camper with 2 sliders. However, since we have a new van and have permanently placed our camper I no longer need this truck, and would like it to go to a Diesel Suburban enthusiast that knows and appreciates these vehicles.
