Selling my 1998 Chevrolet 3500 2WD Dually. I’m the second owner of the vehicle, and purchased it from the original owner in 2000 with less than 5,000 miles on the odometer. It has served as my tow vehicle for my 1-2 annual trips I take. It currently has 63,000 miles. The truck has always been garaged, and only left for trips in good weather. The original owner kept towels on the floors and floormats, and I did the same. It’s evident as the carpets look brand new in the truck. The leather is in equal good condition, regularly cleaned and conditioned. The front windows are tinted 20% to match the rest of the passenger glass. The truck has the factory single disc CD player, but a 12 disc Pioneer changer is located under the rear seat. There is a Journey HD Brake Controller located below the dash for trailer brakes. It has cruise control, power door locks, power windows, and power seats. The exterior contains all factory GM panels and paint. Only the left rear dually fender was repainted off the vehicle once due to a scratch. The right rear dually fender does currently have a scratch in the paint along the flare of the opening (seen in the photo), but the fiberglass is not damaged. I had intended to repaint the fender, but never had the truck out of storage long enough to do so. I have a brand new in the box GM chrome grill that’s included with the truck. The original grill has a typical crack on the surface under the hood. The corner lights and overhead lights are clear lenses with amber bulbs. The bed has an Extang soft tonneau cover, and a factory GM plastic bed liner installed. The tires are relatively new, with Continental Vanco2 215/75R16 tires on the front that have approximately 8,000 miles on them. The rear tires (inside and outside duals) both have Firestone Transforce HT 225/75R16 tires with approximately 20,000 miles on them. The truck has Eagle Alloy polished aluminum wheels on the front and rear outside duals, with factory GM steel inside duals. When I purchased the truck, I installed a Belltech 5/7” drop. With the shorter front tire, the front is lowered about 6” overall. The truck rides extremely nice, especially compared to newer heavy duty trucks. It has an Airlift air-over-leaf assist system on the rear axle, with an on-board compressor. The controls for the compressor are located inside the center console. I have all of the factory suspension parts that were removed during the drop, which are all included with the purchase. The 7.4L engine and 4L80e transmission are untouched factory, with the exception of a K&N air filter. The rear axle ratio is 4.11, and the total combo makes pulling with the truck easy. The oil was regularly changed at 3,000 miles or less. The exhaust system is the factory system, with a new pipe ran from the muffler back. The service history besides regular oil changes includes: Intake Plenum Gasket January 2009 New A/C Compressor and Dryer 2013 New Belltech Nitro Drop shocks Spring 2013 Transmission fluid serviced in Spring 2015 Differential oil serviced in Spring 2015 Please feel free to ask any questions, and to contact me at 913-515-9593.
